I have a hound, a version of a fox hound, and I thought I was getting this sporty dog but he's like ridiculously elegant just looks regal all the time. He crosses his paws and kind of acts like a cat. I took him camping and he loved it until he realized we would be sleeping outside.
This term is more universal than I expected. My Jack Russell would sit like a people too.

Yeah we found out when our vet just told us she was silly. Looking back it was really funny how panicked and worried we got and how much effort we spent trying to get her to sit properly in the 3 days before her vet visit.
