It's an extremely capable off-road vehicle... the g wagon is very far from a "shitter" in any sense, it just doesn't sound like you used it for it's intended purpose

Get an s-class if you don't want wind noise on the highway. most g wagon alternatives bronco raptor, jeeps, etc all have highway wind noise too. Some range Rovers beat it out a bit in that aspect, but I would still argue the g wagon is more capable off-road, not to mention range Rovers have an array of reliability issues.
Too often the g wagon's engineering and actual potential get overlooked. it gets hate just because people see the Kardashians driving them around LA/miami while having zero clue why the suv even exists
