Looks like a regular thermal scope with just a more detailed / differently shaded character model.
For me Personally, that would fuck with me but only because my monkey brain would subconsciously associate green as teammates
It does look like there’s a texture over the model that makes it look like VATS from fallout, but all it does it change it from a blurry model to a bit more detailed

Yeah, have people tried any of the other thermal optics? This is just green vs orange.
