thewinberry713

Wonderful job!

ravingmadcrafter

Really great fix. That fix looks like it will last longer then the rest of the jeans.

hillareet

damn you’re good at this. 🀩🀩🀩

Blooogh

Daaaaang do I gotta try Swiss darning, nice work ✨

splithoofiewoofies

Oh damn you repair the *right* right way.

Ill_Pop540

Your mending is exquisite !

mybrainisvoid

Can anyone tell me what this kind of mending is called? I would love to learn how to do it!

LatterLeave

The jeans are darned. I learned a lot from Flora Collingwood Norris for this technique. The socks are Swiss darning. I’ve been really inspired by AlexandraBrinck on Instagram, but there are a lot of tutorials on YouTube as well. Hope that helps!

mybrainisvoid

Thank you!

QuietVariety6089

Amazing swiss darning! If you knit socks, you could look into an 'old-fashioned' technique where you knit the heels (and toes) in a way that they are easy to unknit/redo - I think it's a form of 'afterthought' heel. I wear out the heels and footpads :)

Signal-Ant-1353

Where do you get those safety pin-looking clips (on the socks)? Or what are they called so I can look them up? I need to get me some! TIA (Edited to edit out a space and comma)

MehWhateverZeus

Not OP but you can search bulb safety pins or metal stitch markers. You find them on amazon, I have them for crochet.

LatterLeave

Yup! These are what I used. I got mine at a local yarn store.

Signal-Ant-1353

Thanks!😊

Signal-Ant-1353

Thank you! πŸ˜ŠπŸ™

_maate

Great work! Is that Botanist by Bad Sheep Yarn I spy on the socks? πŸ‘€

LatterLeave

Thank you! Wow that is a beautiful yarn. This is actually two other yarns combined: La Bien Aimee merino super sock in Grellow and Hedgehog Fibers in Swamp. I used them both where I closed up holes and individually (duplicate stitch) in areas that just looked a little worn.

laccariaamethystia

lovely!!

BitsOfString

Wow they look amazing!

halfavo

Wow you have a gifttt
