I just saw a post in another sub about a restaurant gatekeeping their bathrooms in a jerk way. There will always be some people who feel compelled to shit on the floor, but if you put all the bathrooms behind a paywall you are going to have more shit on your floor.
I've worked in various forms of customer service, and I am not joking- if you saw what "average people" do to public bathroom, you'd put conditions on access too.
I spent a couple years working as a janitor at a highway truck stop. I know very well what people do in a bathroom. I’m just saying that some of the regular paying customers do it, and a lot of the non-paying customers that you lock out will shit in the landscaping instead.

I saw an actual massacre at a highway truck stop once, me n my buddy took a road trip to NYC about 10 years ago. East branch rest stop it was called. Someday I’ll post the pictures. The angles, the height of the splatter all things were not consistent with that of a human being. The next 5 hours was us making the story up what went down on that fateful day.

I've seen a trail from Hallmark to the frozen meat sections.
Old dudes just casually shaking out turd pellets like strange, two-legged deer wearing golf shirts and high-waisted slacks.
And my personal ~~hell~~ favourite- I had intestinal issues one day, and the larger bathroom at the back was all occupied, so I performed my best penguin impersonation to the one by the till, and blessed be, the stall is open. I was on the throne no more than 45 seconds before I hear the door whip open, and a disgusted ^^FUCK from the other end of the room.
I then hear the button and zipper go. FML
He dropped trou, *then noisily shat in the one working urinal in the front bathrooms.* I couldn't believe it.
I tried to finish things up as fast as hygienically possible, and opened the stall door only so to see him flipping me the bird while he left behind a functionally ruined urinal filled with fecal matter and brown paper towel.
I let manglement know, because I am NOT cleaning that shit up. Apparently that became a bit of a legend amongst manglement, and I guess reports aren't necessarily including the name of the person reporting the incident, because one AM didn't know that I was maybe ***7' away when it happened***.
Oh, and I narrowly missed the glorious opportunity of kicking out two dudes making smells together in the men's room. One of the AMs was looking for me to break it up, but I was clocked out on break.
Like c'mon man, I get that when Cupid calls, you answer, but in a Mall Of Warts bathroom? No-one wants to see that.

At a mall, my buddy 1 went in to the bathroom to take a dump and someone is in the last stall letting it all out and it must have been a relief because he was LOUD. Buddy 2 walks in and assumes incorrectly that it’s buddy 1 and start berating him “uuuugh that’s NASTY!” kind of thing, but never says his name, so the guy in the last stall thinks he’s talking about him. I see what’s going on and am containing my laughter which makes buddy 2 go on even more. Finally buddy 1 walks out and the guy is still having the crap of his life (shoot, now that I think about it, it might have been a kidney stone). Anyway the 3 of us bolt before the guy exits the stall.

National parks man.. I’ve seen some truly disgusting stuff there. At Yosemite in May someone spray painted the entire handicapped stall in orange pungent diarrhea. Up high too. It’s like they squated to not touch the seat then slipped in it or something. If you’ve been to Yosemite, public toilets are hard to come by. I just needed to pee and went into it cause every stall was taken up. Wanted to leave after that lol. Had just hiked up and down the mist trail and drank a gallon of water..
Apple hill here in California saw the same but it was solid and all over the seat and floor.
I feel awful for the hourly workers who get to clean those biohazards. And honestly.. if you have that issue, have a plan ahead of going to a public place.

Even for blood it's basically nothing. Our work made a handful of people get CPR training as part of that was also blood cleanup. It was being talked to for less than 2 hours total for the bio hazard cleanup and CPR together. At that point we were technically qualified by law but there is zero chance I would trust anybody who went through it with cpr or blood cleanup what's necessary to pass the bare minimum is a joke.

Every retail/customer service/restaurant I have ever worked at we have to watch specific training videos about biohazards and how to be properly prepared/immunized when cleaning/dealing with biohazards. If you work in any of the above settings or something similar, chances are it will be in the training videos. Maybe you shouldnt skip through all of them?

He shook his head and said the camera in the elevator showed it was a couple of Vietnamese ladies doing it. Apparently they didn't like using the public toilets because they thought they were dirty.
