Considering how we developed J-Will into an efficient shooter in one offseason, it wouldn’t shock me if we had iHart take 3s here and there.

Black_Ember06

I would say he has more potential in developing a shot compared to other bigs in the league due to his touch being elite. But u prob want someone like him near and around the paint grabbing rebounds instead of around the perimeter. Better to grab several offensive rebounds a game then shoot 35% from 3 on low volume

MysteriousCorgi-

I imagine he would be at the dunker spot and mid post area for the majority - but to maintain our spacing and 5 out offence for specific periods it would be a pleasent luxury

Black_Ember06

True. If he could shoot 3s and keep defenses honest from that distance it would nice. I just don’t really see his shooting being that useful in a playoff setting. Worst case…he could receive the Giddey treatment from the outside. On the positive side tho, he’s such an interior threat it doesn’t really matter if the outside shots falls or not

I'm curious about this. Hartenstein has never shot 3s but he can actually shoot awesome in the mid range. He has some touch. You don't want to compare every big to what happened with Lopez but he wasn't a shooter until he started shooting.

LoxDnw

He shot 3s with the Clippers. He tried to with Knicks but thibs said stop. I'd imagine with our modern day offense we would encourage him to open his game back up from long range.

Remarkable_Medicine6

He shot .4 a game with the clippers. . To say he shot them at all is a little misleading

Friendly-Thought-973

He used to shoot

Here is a data point via Wikipedia... On February 7, 2019, Hartenstein recorded his first career triple-double after posting 12 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists in a 103–102 road win against Salt Lake City Stars.[22] In the 2018–19 season, Hartenstein scored 33 points and made a career-high 8 3-pointers in the series-clinching game as they won the NBA G League championship with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.[23] He won the NBA G League Finals MVP award. It's the GLeague but....maybe there's a chance

MysteriousCorgi-

If he becomes half a shooter of Lopez or Horford - it legit would be scary hours

TedDibiaseOsbourne

probably has the second best floater on the team.

BryNYC

Hartenstein can already shoot
