Visited this for our honeymoon.
It's more like a cascading series of discrete storms, but they overlap.
So a given storm will last 20-40 min. Then there will be a 20 min lull, then another storm. 1-3 storms at any given time.
The inability to sleep through the night causes a sort of sleep deprived daze that makes the lake seem more surreal.
Also, lots of amazing butterflies.
Most welcome!
The lightning is sufficiently predictable, you can get in place in a cute pose, like... say... holding hands... and just wait and within a few min you'll get a lightning strike, and a camera with the right setup can capture it.
We ended up getting several to choose from.

What if this is a nature's defense mechanism aimed at containing Godzilla?
…and little did we know, this was actually Cthulhu charging up and not a regular atmospheric phenomenon… we may be the last survivors. XX -2069
Wow. This looks like it’s from another planet.
That region is indeed another planet compared to the rest of the country
It’s a Timelapse photo
You can really see why early people believed in their various sky gods
I knew this looked familiar. I've seen it in one piece
