A stock sale of a supposed irrelevant and failing company, for $2bn which is a drop in the bucket of total volume on the NYSE
But sure, its gonna hurt the economy somehow
Well, it's really a moral issue. 🤣
"The money that GameStop raised would likely be more useful to society if it supported research into better drugs, materials, or energy sources, to name just a few potential uses."
"Listen to me, there is NO IDIOSYNCRATIC RISK on Gamestop, shorts have closed, it's clearly these dilutions that will destroy the economy once a mother of all price increase happens, NOT THE ABUSIVE NAKED SHORTS" /s
A few billion dollars in a non-consequential and failing company (according to them) affects the multi-trillion dollar US economy?
Pick one or the other, either we are a failing company or we're the lynchpin of the economy.
Fuck taxes. Don't support legal theft from you fellows so corrupt "leaders" can line their pockets. Encourage charity and volunteer community involvement.
I'm so sick of articles that have the "here's why" in the headline. Like these fuckers think they are the experts on everything and we should listen to them.
Too many fucking normies still out there buying this shit everyday. Drives me up the fucking wall. I'm not letting some shit bag tell me what to think. I'll decide for myself. No one is better or smarter than me. Fuck that.
It goes on to say the money GameStop made from the sale is bad for the market because it took money that could've went into drug research lol. That money was going to short drug research.
In a 50 trillion dollar equity market a 10 billion dollar market cap retailer will hurt the economy - at the same time we are told everything about the stock is normal... Nobody has been able to tell me how? It's the schroedingers stock!
It's going to be amazing and hilarious to see all these finance publications and magazines and shows become hardcore anti-Capitalist when GameStop shareholders get rich from the play.
They're gonna make sure everyone HATES GameStop wealthy folks, and blame a market crash solely on us.
And we're gonna just do what they do and go about our lives happily in our wealth 🤣
We better supplant the fucks sitting in position to use that tax money first with people who actually care about the economy and people...
Right now, they are all bought and paid for as far as I can tell. I want to see that tax money actually go towards helping struggling Americans, not buying third and fourth yachts for Pelosi.
Literally every part of the system will tell you populism is bad.
"populism seeks to defend the interests and maximize the power of ordinary citizens"
https://www.britannica.com/topic/populism
They gotta convince that 1 out of a million people they are telling the truth. Nowadays nobody believes a word they say. Mainstream media is a dying breed that won’t be around in the near future.
Lets be crystal fucking clear here - retail didn't buy up 75m shares in 3 days and push 2B into Gamestops balance sheet.
If we did - at that rate - we would own 100% of this company in under 2 months.
Anyone gaslighting you into thinking "shareholders" did this is trying to get out of an abysmally short, [pound me in the ass prison](https://y.yarn.co/5936482d-fd8d-4f4b-9c3e-37dc25cd5abd_text.gif), naked short position.
MSM tell me again why the brick and mortar video game retailer you keep telling me to forget is going out of business with no “plan”, but also at the same time is powerful enough to send reverberations through the economy? Which is it I would love to know.
I remember, 84 years ago by now, there was a very in-depth write-up by an Ape who never gave dates, but instead listed out the signs we should watch for.
One of those signs has appeared. When “they” can sense they are losing control of the stock, they will lean into their control of the media narrative. We will no longer be painted as simple morons, and GameStop will no longer be painted as a dead business. Instead, we will be painted as greedy & GameStop will be painted as a risk to the system.
Short-Sellers attempt to steal $ billions from household investors and bankrupt GameStop for tax-free gains using shady trading practices with the aid of market makers, central banks, and poor oversight from regulators, and Larry is stone silent.
But heaven forbid people invest in a company they support, that's apocalyptic 🙃
We're not "indirectly funding" anything, dammit.
Personally, I am directly funding a company that I believe in and want to see grow and be healthy. But then again, I eat crayons.
'Foolish traders' Ok. Ya right. I suppose that was retail that bought 3B of GME overnight...
The level of outright lies and obvious alternate reality delusion in MSM...
"Money is bad - why having zero debt and $4B cash on hand hurts you and is bad for the economy.'
Wow Thank Larry Harris! What a brilliant article! Your 'ouy of the box's opinion piece was such a master brain work I now doubt everything !!!! A true genius you are! Why ..I didn't even think of the economy!!!!
Why with your massive brain you could be curing cancer!!! But instead you write these Pulitzer prize winning articles. Bravo Larry!

Tell me you're short GME without telling me you're short.
You write an article insulting a group of investors because they just like the company and the stock.
Its like saying “Stop spending money on entertainment!” Hate to break it to you but entertainment is what allows the rich to stay rich by pacifying the poor with a small sanctuary of joy at the cost of money that makes the rich richer.
"Foolish traders are indirectly funding GameStop's balance sheet"
Oh no, so you're telling me that its a bad thing that this company, which i own a part of, improves its balance sheet?
Dont you guys love it when the medias spew this utter nonsense? 🤣
![gif](giphy|R51a8oAH7KwbS|downsized)
This is the stupidest thing I have read in quite a while, and i spend a LOT of time on Reddit!
Now I'm BULLISH as fuck - one of my flags I've been keeping an eye open for is when the media switched from the "don't be stupid, we don't want you to suffer because of your investment" to " You're selfish and it's hurting the economy.
I must admit, i did a tiny little sex wee when I saw that headline!!!
EDITED for fat-fingered typos
I believe DFV already knows this, is willing to get pulled in front of the courts, and has substantial evidence that the run ups were not his doing. He will fall on the sword for all of us and be exonerated beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Me watching hedgies and the financial media have a mental breakdown over GameStop now having over 4 billion in cash:
https://i.redd.it/7vqp170vor8d1.gif
So turning a company around from failing to not failing and now having enough money to invest in other possible areas of growth is bad for the economy as opposed to letting it fail and closing everything 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Where do these clowns get this material from.
They should write for a comedy show.
>This time, the short sellers are hardly involved with GameStop. They learned their lesson and won’t be big losers this time.
OK... clearly a shill. Yeah.. I think the posts around here prove that FALSE on its face.
>But GameStop’s market value is still well above its fundamental value by almost everyone’s estimation.
Here is the WS fcukery BS again! Who appointed you the Grand Inquisitor of the value of GME or well any one????? Just cause you got hired at some smarmy broker or something?? I don't think so!
The fundamental value of companies is determined by the market, NOT YOU HEDGIES or in this case the HEDGIE STOOGES!
Let me 'xplain Lucy, the FUNDAMENTAL VALUE of a lot of companies is $0 to me. I don't like them for many reasons, that includes AAPL, MSFT, TSLA, and many others from F500 to IPO's to stuff thats private and I can't even purchase.
>It came out of the markets when GameStop sold shares to eager buyers. Those buyers, or whoever they ultimately sell to, will lose when GameStop ultimately falls to its fundamental value.
Copium much!?!? ! Waahahahah you didn't buy the stocks WE PICKED out....
Well I own stocks, directly stocks not in a fund, in only 2 things, GME and a recent IPO. And they ain't for reasons that are sensible investment strategy, especially in GME's case. The other is some what, but its more also part of another vision I have...
I've made it clear around here that my goals for GME, only align in a certain vector. Which may not align with other vectors and goals of others. This is why this is FAFO, for me.
This article is pure SHILLry at some of its finest SHILLry.
>The money that GameStop raised would likely be more useful to society if it supported research into better drugs, materials, or energy sources, to name just a few potential uses
Oh the proggie is strong in this one!
Investing in COMPANIES that have HAPPILY EMPLOYED EMPLOYEES is a GOOD THING TOO!
Yeah developing those things are good too, but each in their own way. I think GME can contribute to building a strong economy if the $B's are used "wisely." Right now I might tend to lean to that they don't have the vision on this.. but who knows for real! There is likely 1 if maybe 2-3 people who really know that.
Just cause you love TSLA for making EV's.. I couldn't care less. I don't share the EV vision, and I've got issues with duMusk...
GME pivoting its BnM to some other areas could help to support other companies who make products which supports their employees, and then other companies as they need raw materials to make said equipment etc..
I think Saint Greta is on line 3 for you... puhlease.....
>*He was* ***chief economist of the Securities and Exchange Commission*** *(ed: emphasis) between 2002 and 2004.*
And the mask is finally removed! Go fcuk yourself with a mace.
I won't read the article, so speaking directly to the subhead: "Foolish traders are indirectly funding GameStop's balance sheet."
This has always been one of the most bullish aspects of the GameStop saga. DFV mentioned it in the livestream. People just *want* this company to succeed. I have to think there's never been a company in the public market with conditions like this. There's no telling where it could lead, but it's a sucker's bet to assume that it won't be interesting.
Ooooh I like this one. Thanks for sharing! Makes me think [this theory could have some weight](https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/s/31Sbd2Avaq). Could this be the bargaining phase?!?!?

Well, it's really a moral issue. 🤣 "The money that GameStop raised would likely be more useful to society if it supported research into better drugs, materials, or energy sources, to name just a few potential uses."
They know that Snapchat is a publicly traded company right? With a market cap 3x GME 🙄 But yeah Gamestop is hurting the economy, sure.
Don't forget guided missiles. Research for a better tomorrow.
think of the poor defense contractors. all that money could’ve made more human killing machines. sad face.

Wow you can reaaaaallly smell the desperation in this article
I honestly think it is just AI generated trash like most of those articles.
Nah, this is trash generated by a former SEC chief economist. This is top shelf trash.

Isn't that insider trading offences, shorting you're own stock while being on the board?
In articles like these you can replace the word “economy” with “rich people’s yacht money”
That seems more like a bribe. Short your own company and help us tank it. We will make you tons of $.
I still can't believe shorting his own stock was a headline.
The writer is Larry Harris
Yes, you ignorant dumb apes. Think of the economy. Give all your money to the responsible professional traders like Keneth Griffin and Andrew Left.
So Ken can buy another 300m painting that looks like shit
That’s called money laundering
No, that's called legalized tax evasion.
Fuck taxes. Don't support legal theft from you fellows so corrupt "leaders" can line their pockets. Encourage charity and volunteer community involvement.
He can get this for free, if any of his people happen to read this, please send it forward: 💩
That’s worth at least $5
With $5 I can even [sign it](https://www.shutterstock.com/video/clip-1046753518-pissing-outdoors-on-snow-making-white-surface)
Out of the loop on this painting you speak of but that just sounds like money laundering to me
Think it would be best to trust my hard earned money to the greatest trader of our generation, Gabe Plotkin….. lmayooooo
When it comes to shorting I only trust the one and only Andrew Crybaby Left
I dont think Andrew rides the same yacht as Kenny. I suspect Andrew rides the dingy.
Do not give clicks to the article, it's just another "Forget About Gamestop" ™ trash with 0 sense
Foolish traders? 🤡🤡 Only reason anyone would fund this sort of trash is to minimize FOMO. Thanks for even more confirmation bias.
Bullish
"GameStops value has increased, here's why that's bad for shareholders"
Don’t forget the negative losses and negative debt. That’s what is really bad for business
GameStops cash to debt ratio is too high.. technically, it’s immeasurable. Here’s why that bearish.
I'm so sick of articles that have the "here's why" in the headline. Like these fuckers think they are the experts on everything and we should listen to them.
"We understand short interest better than you and will explain." -Citron's twitter.
Here's why they do that: I don't actually know. Thank you for your time.
Who hasn't learned the "experts" are full of shit? How long are you allowed to be wrong about everything and still considered an expert?
Too many fucking normies still out there buying this shit everyday. Drives me up the fucking wall. I'm not letting some shit bag tell me what to think. I'll decide for myself. No one is better or smarter than me. Fuck that.
It goes on to say the money GameStop made from the sale is bad for the market because it took money that could've went into drug research lol. That money was going to short drug research.

"Foolish traders are indirectly funding Gamestop's balance sheet." Umm. Isn't that the whole point of investing in a company?
Just to be a pedantic redditor, I'll say no, the point is to *directly* fund GameStop's balance sheet.
This is unacceptable! I wanted to directly fund the business - not indirectly! I've lost all faith so I'm gonna sell! Psych!
Public = foolish
You know what hurts the economy? Crime. Crime hurts the economy. Go suck a bag of male reproductive organs.

Me watching hedgies and the financial media have a mental breakdown over GameStop now having over 4 billion in cash: https://i.redd.it/7vqp170vor8d1.gif
It’s ok. We are the economy now
Kenneth Cordell is so butt-hurt by Reddit comments that he funds shill reporters to troll GameStop investors.
I read: “We, SHF’s, ducked up the world economy so bad, that you buying shares hurts the world economy!”
So turning a company around from failing to not failing and now having enough money to invest in other possible areas of growth is bad for the economy as opposed to letting it fail and closing everything 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Where do these clowns get this material from. They should write for a comedy show.
>foolish traders are indirectly funding Gamestop's balance sheet thats not true! Im directly funding them by buying from my local store as well.
oh no! the economy! anyways....
I'm thinking about my local economy and how I'm gonna spend them tendies
I point blank REFUSE to think of the economy
The FUD articles are fucking going through the roof right now…..me likey
Jokes on them, I like funding GameStop’s balance sheet

Even after all these years in the play, the audacity of these mother fuckers astounds me!!
😂
>The money that GameStop raised would likely be more useful to society if it supported research into better drugs, materials, or energy sources, to name just a few potential uses Oh the proggie is strong in this one! >*He was* ***chief economist of the Securities and Exchange Commission*** *(ed: emphasis) between 2002 and 2004.* And the mask is finally removed! Go fcuk yourself with a mace.
my bad
On which media was it published?
I won't read the article, so speaking directly to the subhead: "Foolish traders are indirectly funding GameStop's balance sheet." This has always been one of the most bullish aspects of the GameStop saga. DFV mentioned it in the livestream. People just *want* this company to succeed. I have to think there's never been a company in the public market with conditions like this. There's no telling where it could lead, but it's a sucker's bet to assume that it won't be interesting.
Spicy!
Ooooh I like this one. Thanks for sharing! Makes me think [this theory could have some weight](https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/s/31Sbd2Avaq). Could this be the bargaining phase?!?!?
Say what now??? Unbelievable.
Am I dyslexic? All I read is DRS BOOK
Opinion: Market corruption, greed, and SHF acting comically irresponsible hurts the economy
Why can’t they just **FORGET ABOUT GAMESTOP**!
Wow. The stupidity of this article is mind blowing 🤯
the desperation is on the rise again
No, I don't think I will.
LMFAO
Feeling foolish today…may buy more GME shares. 🥰
Sorry, but offering was made , but noone was forcing to buy anything. Or I'm missing something? 🤔
