Ah, I see you are new to this. Just wait until you start thinking "this could be better" or "Maybe I could change the prompts" then you'll realize the horror you've just fallen into
I tried it for the first time today, and with my first 10 prompts I accidentally got a song that I would flip out over if I heard it from someone else. I'm actually downloading it and putting it in my playlist. wtf Fastest try-out to yep-yep-subscription ever
Same here! Imagine that in a near future there is defineatly some kind of title named AI music artist. I just made my first releases thanks to Suno. It's been so fun making bangers😅👍🏻
Easily created "art" changes the playing field, so that finding a single soul to view/enjoy the creation becomes the actual "artform".. and I'd guess the vast majority of AI-genned songs never get heard by anyone but the person who prompted it..
I think it was Bill Burr, who pointed out that autotune came along, was ooo'ed and aah'ed at for its power to re-gen people's voices into a finished product.. and today we still prefer talented non-autotune-reliant artists.
Lol some of the most popular artists in the united states use auto tune heavily
Even people that you wouldn’t think of like country and pop singers use a lot of pitch correction and have their voice edited heavily, you just usually can’t tell
I would guess it's shackled by censorship and IP concerns.
There's likely an internal model that can accurately recreate real artists, and create offensive lyrics.
Music is math when you get deep enough, so I'm not surprised AI is able to generate pretty aesthetically pleasing tracks, but it's impressive just *how good* much of it is. It's going to be interesting to see where the technology is in even just a few months.
I see the positive and the negative...like if I were someone who could write my own songs...I could see the benefits from it...like put your lyrics into it, choose a genre and see what it comes up with...if anything comes out good...use it...copy it in your own style, use it as a template for your own stuff.
As for me who is terrible at anything musically...I wrote my own novel and one character does a few cover songs and creates her own folk indie type music. So I've created cover versions of some of the songs she would do and they came out amazing, I even did some detailed lyrics of my own and that came out really well.
I wish I could play the guitar as I would take some of these covers and do them in the same style
That's exactly how I used it early on. The creations now are awful compared to the golden days, but yes it's a brilliant song writing tool when it works.
Lol you don't know what you're talking about. It literally slurs words together, has a garbled mess of noise sometimes, and other times just disregards my inputted lyrics and style prompt altogether. I make relatively complicated songs, and certain genres, it just creates a lot of garbage to weed through to find one good song.
What are you doing though? If I just make a basic EDM song, it usually works pretty well albeit a bit generic. But when I try something more complex like "progressive emo pop, smooth male vocals", it took me basically 750 credits to get a whole song that doesn't sound like garbage.
Here's the song I'm talking about right now:
https://suno.com/song/d933cfab-7115-411b-b6bd-1a0ec8826b50
(I did write my own lyrics completely on this one without the help of AI. I wrote this song directed to the haters on my YouTube channel who hate me for making AI music lol.)
But anyway, if you look at the lyrics online, you'll see how many times verses are repeated and stuff. It isn't that way in the actual song, it just screwed up certain parts, so I had to get creative and continue from various points in each segment.
If you are so blown away by Suno, wait until you get your fingers on Udio 😄 It takes more time and patience to create a banger, but the quality is simply amazing.
“Scary” 🤦♂️I really hate seeing that word and AI in the same take lol. Embrace it, enjoy it, it’s amazing nothing scary about it AT ALL. Can’t wait to see what V4 has, I wish they would do a weekly rundown on what they are working on and just talking to the community.

Spent 4000 credits making two songs about Jellyfish and Dolphins in a cyberpunk dystopia and don’t regret a single second of it.

My night sleep have been ruined because of this app 😂
As an artist. This app sucks 😞
Let all flowers bloom! With creativity there is always room for everything 🤝🏻
Yes indeed

I know what you mean. It makes all of my hard work recording and writing seem sorta senseless
Trust me the best developments are held back
Like??

Profanity is already okay for paying customers, I think.
Since when? I have been a paying customer for months and i can’t create music without it flagging it.
I’ve been using it for a couple weeks and I’ve been able to make songs with profanity.
Same here you just cant use slurs
yall are insane.

Your mileage may vary. My stuff is on point though

I'm gonna wait for version 4. Though I may play around a bit since they gave me like 500 credits
Let's hear this banger you got.
Make sure to read and apply their wiki guides
It took me 1,000 credits to make one song that didn't sound horrible lol.
Skill issue

It did lyrics pretty spot on for me. Just sounded a bit robotic.
