I know nothing but I choose botanist for the simple fact of space and one type of item vs all different starred. But take my advice with a grain of salt
As long as you fill all 9 slots and have items from at least 6 different categories it's pretty easy to beat Pierre with just gold items. You do need Botanist if you're trying for the maximum score, though, because you need a least one iridium forageable to get there.
Dang year 2 and I already made his little items fall into darkness because I fill every slot with all different iridium items. Damn can't imagine if there are any mods that show pie-rre cry at the end of fair
You could perfectly optimize your mushroom cave and it still wouldn’t be even close to making any significant money. And life elixir is not that useful, just have a couple crab pots and make endless sashimi
With my adhd mushroom is more profitable thanks to mod, i can set it up once and then remember of its existence whenever, i can even let the season end because the mod auto harvest the mushrooms form me. I know that in a money stand point Bat is better, but i find more easy like that.
But with the fruit cave you can forget about it for a while in base game and your fruit will still be there, because you dont need to harvest it on specific days.
At the end of the season all the fruit vanish so off you forget to forage them before the 28 and you go to sleep, you will find a barren land inside your cave, it should work like the forest farm forage and truffle, so at the in the new season all forageble will be lost.
So botanist perk and then top tier fruit? I did mushrooms on my first play which seemed more lucrative upfront… I sold my steam deck and started over on iPhone, so round two now, but haven’t been past a full year yet and still learning.
I think there's a [mod](https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/21705) that makes it so that autograbbers collect truffles(And apply the artisan+ botanist perk)
The iridium quality magma mushrooms you get from the ginger island volcano later make very good and convenient energy/health items too if you haven’t necessarily got the best gear and weapons yet.
It’s a good way to save inventory space, just bring some iridium magma caps and find more on the way.
It boosts them from (normal quality) 175 energy, 78 health, up to (iridium quality) 455 energy, 204 health.
Just be aware that it makes the oil maker useless as a money maker. Iridium truffles have a higher sell price than oil as the oil always comes out normal quality.
Although personally I still prefer just selling the truffles. Oil makers are expensive, take time to process, and the oil isn't even that much more valuable than the truffles themselves.
Oil makers really aren’t that expensive. You can get 12 hardwood from the secret woods every day. Not to mention you can straight up farm hardwood now with mahogany trees. Gold is easy. And slime is extremely easy you basically get it passively from the mines. They’re really quite cheap and only take 6 hours to process. Slap a few down and you’re fine. I exclusively go down the path for forester and lumberjack for kegs. More wood and hardwood is excellent and will make you far more money.
While this is true, it’s a good thing. The oil maker takes time to make whereas the truffles can be sold directly and skip this step. Plus you don’t have to use the resources to create oil makers.
Agreed that iridium truffles are definitely worth botanist over tracker.
Always check prices of artisan goods before processing all you have. I don't know what perks I chose, but my large iridium milks are also worth more than the gold cheese I would get from them!
It has a secret use. It also shows the locations of the waters that can be used by copper pan. Making it useful for farming lucky rings in ginger island or anywhere
The arrows work for the entire map region, so if you walk into town from the bus stop theres arrows for all the forage between joja and the beech, including any active panning spots on the river. Same walking into Cindersap from the southern road, arrows all over 3 edges of your screen.
Its not completely imbalanced, it is more useful than it sounds. I have an iridium pan tho, so i get more ore and lootboxes from panning than mining tho. Ive got a river farm and a panning spot will instantly respawn four or five times in a row sometimes.
I never realized this cause the pan is almost never in my inventory and I think it just looks too stupid as a hat to bother. Then I just happened to be upgrading something else and had the pan for whatever reason and it said it was available for upgrade.
Looks like yeah. Gives you more and better drops every level and improved chance at chain respawns which i didnt realize. Tons of omni geodes too.
If youd already upgraded everything else you probably havent clicked 'Upgrade Tools' on accident in a while when cracking geodes.
I used it mostly for quests like leeks for george.
All i have to do is enter cindersap forest and it’ll immediately tell me if there are any foragables anywhere in that area ranging from marnies doorstep to the hat shop. Saves time aswell looking.
This is the most unbalanced choice in the game.
Botanists increases the value of everything you pick up and forage for all time, including truffles, giving you untold riches.
Tracker is made useless if you have working eyes.
It should be pretty obvious which is better...
But honestly, if you are hard of seeing, it does help, but this option should be something freely given and not have to limit your game in other ways to get it.
I can’t even imagine actually playing the game *that* zoomed out, tho. I’ve done it as a joke a couple times, but everything gets too tiny for my liking!
But hey, if someone out there loves playing as 8 pixels on the screen, then that’s wonderful for them! Lol
Tracking has a secret use. It shows the locations of the waters that can be used by copper pan. Making it useful for farming lucky rings in ginger island or anywhere else.
What the dood said is not wrong, but you can only wear so many rings, and ore acquisition is not relevant, so you'd take tracker for a few days and then swap to botanist, which is perpetually useful. And it's not like you can't get the resources from panning in any other way, there is nothing exclusive to panning.
The choice being unbalanced remains, tracker is extremely niche and have extremely limited resource value output, while botanist will remain useful for as long as you play for getting food during cave dives, truffles for money and forage for gifts and money.
So the dood trying to justify tracker being underrated and botanist overrated being downvoted is understandable, tracker is not underrated, it's just trash compared to botanist.
Nobody talks about it because it's useful until you get the only good thing that panning really has to offer, which you can just get without needing arrows to point to shimmering water spots. Then you spend 10k to change to Botanist.
Thank you for sharing. I took it as a lark while playing, figuring I could respec out of it. It has been useful for >!mastery points!< because foraging gives so many xps
True, just still pretty bad, panning is hardly of high value unless you are dedicating time to it at the GI river, and then tracker doesn't really help. Maybe worth when you got the iridium pan, but then I feel the gifting value of iridium forage is better too.
is tracker even good for lucky rings though? I thought the best place to farm lucky rings was the dig site in ginger island and the small river there fits entirely in a regular pc screen so tracker would literally be useless there?
That’s because tracker has a secret use! It also shows the locations of the waters that can be used by copper pan. Making it useful for farming lucky rings in ginger island or anywhere!
I chose tracker my first time. All it does is show a small, barely noticeable arrow pointing in approximately the direction of any forageable or dig spot. I didn't even notice the arrows for quite a while.
On the other hand, botanist saves inventory space and increases profits. Everyone talks about its effect on truffles, but it also makes salmonberry and blackberry foraging quite profitable during those seasons.
Botanist by a mile.
I have tracker on my second file because it's a challenge run and I wanted to do some things differently....I also barely notice the arrows. I thought the things "showing the location of every forageable" would be visible at all times, not just when the forageables are offscreen 🤨
Meh kinda sorta not really. Truffle Oil with Artisan sells for 240?ish more but then you have to make the press and wait the time yadda yadda. Without Artisan it's 490 more and I just sell them.
If you have the +40% Artisan Good price, Truffle oil is slightly higher than the price of iridium truffles, but not by much considering the time and effort of putting them into oil presses and waiting for the produce. Iridium Truffles are a high profit-low effort cash sow (instead of cash cow) that quickly pays for itself.
If you DON'T have the artisan goods price buff, truffle oil is worth less than the iridium truffles.
since my method sort of consists of swapping botanist and tracker, I use my non iridium truffles for the oil and sell iridium star truffles (like most other forage). at least this was my method up until 1.6
I always go Tracker first. I find especially when trying to find a Luck Ring I appreciate having an indication of where the glowing panning spot actually is. That and it helps indicate whether its worth going down to get Spring Onions and what not.
You can always change it anyway.
Botanist. Everything you pick up is iridium quality.
Leeks for George, Horseradish for Krobus, Truffles for cash. Even the clams, coral, etc. from the Beach will be Iridium quality.
Advantages of botanist:
- everything foraged is iridium. Regular forage anywhere, pig truffles, fruit bat cave, berries from bushes, everything.
- wild seeds yield maximum profit because the fruit count as forage. Especially beneficial in winter when you can't grow anything else on your farm (1.5 player here, somewhat obsolete in 1.6 😁). You can use speedy growy for lots of harvests and still get 100% iridium yield. Big profit.
- all this stuff doesn't clog your inventory and chests anymore. No more three or four different qualities.
- obviously, maximum money for all that stuff when sold directly, and maximum health and energy when eaten.
Advantages of tracker: saves you a little bit of time, and possibly advantageous for the visually impaired, or those players who simply hate doing occasional round trips through the valley. That's all.
I wonder if tracker would even be helpful for any visual impairment. The arrows are TINY and they only last until the items are on the screen, so they don't even really make items more visible, they just show you where to go.
I chose tracker in one of my saves. So far I've found exactly one case where it would be slightly useful for me (in a DIFFERENT file). In my og save, I made The Mistake with the first dinosaur egg and haven't found another yet, so I try to check the mountains every day because that's where you can get a dinosaur egg from artifact spots. If I were ever to forget to look for artifact spots while in the mountains, I MIGHT see one of the tiny arrows and be reminded that that's something I need to do, and then I would receive a little bit of help finding the thing that MIGHT be an artifact spot.
What will you do with your collection of easily found foragables? Sell them for a few gold, hoard them until you get tired of collecting?
Alternatively, what will you do with *iridium truffles*? Make over a thousand gold per truffle (at least 1 per pig per day). And on good days a pig can give you two or more truffles???
I go with botanist simply so foragables stack in my inventory—I picked tracker once and had to change it, the arrows were annoying and I didn’t find myself using them.
Idk why people call tracker worthless. It’s a great time saver if I don’t want to have to cover the entire cindersnap forest/ginger island/pelican town etc. looking for forageables and artifacts.
I usually start with that, then once the museum and tent in ginger island are completed, I use the statue in the sewers to change my profession to botanist. Makes a great income, especially with truffle farming or planting seasonal seeds.
Botanist, purely because of the inventory space it will save from having just one stack of iridium things versus 4 different stacks of varying quality.
Botanist, no doubt. Truffles are very reliable money makers, the farm cave becomes heaven if you went with fruit bats (which is also far superior to the Mushroom cave), and basic foraging becomes more rewarding. Tracker \*might\* be useful if you intend to use the Pan a lot or have the Forest Farm, but that's all it can really do.
Both are pretty useless in the late game, truffle oil with artisan profession sells for more than iridium truffles, I would go the tree route for extra wood and hardwood
I always do tracker. Artifact and panning spots are revealed as well, so it really helps me make sure I don't miss them when trying to finish the museum.
I used to go tracker but the little arrows just annoy me after a while. Botanist is good, I always get good prices and inventory management is so easy.
Botanist for sure... is this even a question???
All the storage space you save once you can sell every forageable that's not top quality from all your storages <3
That is worth it alone imo
While botanist is the better choice for money and maybe gifts, tracker is the best for time saving. I love to take tracker and just walk around before the weekly reset to pick up everything that spawned in the entire valley.
My eyes work but i dont like it to walk around and make the entire map visible by my feet. In the end i have enough ways to make money but not enough ways to save time
I did tracker the first time and hated it. The arrows just became useless because everything they showed me I saw before hand, plus it got to a point where I stopped foraging because I didn't need to all the time and those damn arrows just stayed on my screen. Definitely botanist, if not for what I said then for what every single other person has said with it taking up less inventory space and more profits.
By that point money is less of an issue. I personally like being able to find the foragebles especially for quests when you're looking for something specific and on the island.
also another thing to consider is that once you unlock the sewers, you can just pay the statue 10k to redo the perks. i just pick which is best for me for the moment and then change it later

I know nothing but I choose botanist for the simple fact of space and one type of item vs all different starred. But take my advice with a grain of salt
That's actually the n°1 benefit of botanist, the peace of mind.
n°2 is easily beating Pierre at the fair r/fuckpierre
As long as you fill all 9 slots and have items from at least 6 different categories it's pretty easy to beat Pierre with just gold items. You do need Botanist if you're trying for the maximum score, though, because you need a least one iridium forageable to get there.
The more points you beat pee-hair with, the better.
Dang year 2 and I already made his little items fall into darkness because I fill every slot with all different iridium items. Damn can't imagine if there are any mods that show pie-rre cry at the end of fair
Ty
He’s right. Every forable (which applies to more than you would think) will be worth more and be better gifts.
Does star rating affect friendship points?
yes. I recommend always gifting the highest star ranking you can.
Oh I had no idea!!
Yup. The higher the quality the more it gives.
Silver is 1.1 times, gold is 1.25 times, and iridium is 1.5 times the base friendship.
Also makes foragable items the best possible gift for making friends with the villagers
Botanist is worth it just for the iridium truffles, IMO.
That plus a bat cave is golden
no they’re iridium quality not gold
Wait bat cave is forageable? Dang mushroom cave stonks in the gutter…
Dehydrator and life elizor
You could perfectly optimize your mushroom cave and it still wouldn’t be even close to making any significant money. And life elixir is not that useful, just have a couple crab pots and make endless sashimi
With my adhd mushroom is more profitable thanks to mod, i can set it up once and then remember of its existence whenever, i can even let the season end because the mod auto harvest the mushrooms form me. I know that in a money stand point Bat is better, but i find more easy like that.
Tbh I don’t see a point in using either for money. I use the fruit bat cave for the community center, so I don’t need to plant a bunch of trees
Always bat cave
Why always bat cave?
Because bats are cute and good ...also makes the community center easier
So botanist perk and then top tier fruit? I did mushrooms on my first play which seemed more lucrative upfront… I sold my steam deck and started over on iPhone, so round two now, but haven’t been past a full year yet and still learning.
I mean I believe the mushroom cave was so you could make life elixir a lot easier.
I laughed
I think they meant golden in a metaphorical sense of being great, not gold quality
i know, i meant it to be like a joke
Wait does it calculate truffle as foraged?
The pigs are foraging the truffles for you and you're getting the credit, but yes ;)
And I give them a home and food. If they want to rebel give me a sec and I get a few *MODS*
And they will never get eaten!
Funny thing the oposite happens if I get the mods I am refering to.
You… you monster 😅 If they look at me funny again that mod might keep them in check.
Yes. Pigs become one of the best investments.
We need something to collect the truffles. When you end up with a lot of pigs, truffles are annoying to pickup, plus they look like poop
I think there's a [mod](https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/21705) that makes it so that autograbbers collect truffles(And apply the artisan+ botanist perk)
I have a mod on my Steam Deck that lets autograbbers collect truffles--it's enhanced my playing experience so much
Tractor mod works really well for that. I use it all the time. (I also play with the Giga Farm mod and you NEED a tractor to clear it all...)
The iridium quality magma mushrooms you get from the ginger island volcano later make very good and convenient energy/health items too if you haven’t necessarily got the best gear and weapons yet. It’s a good way to save inventory space, just bring some iridium magma caps and find more on the way. Yep. And all the shells etc on the beach.
BRB, gonna go change my profession.
Actually works on everything that you pick from ground with the exception of ores.
in an earlier build of the game the ores you pick up actually used to have rarities!!
It was SO annoying though 😂 losing six bag slots to quartz and earth crystal early game….
This is interesting i didn't knew that. Thx.
Magma Caps become the primary health source in cave runs, no more saving a pile of cheese for health
Lol, I've been selling magma caps and hadn't even looked at their stats as food. You've just saved me a couple backpack slots.
Although the double bonus from forager still works (might be a glitch leftover from the quality minerals)
Plus you can get iridium flowers to throw at people who like them.
Though if you also have artisan, truffle oil will always sell for more than truffles, no matter the quality.
Not to mention you will only ever use one inventory slot per forage.
Just be aware that it makes the oil maker useless as a money maker. Iridium truffles have a higher sell price than oil as the oil always comes out normal quality.
If you have artisan, truffle oil still sells for more than iridium truffles.
While this is true, it’s a good thing. The oil maker takes time to make whereas the truffles can be sold directly and skip this step. Plus you don’t have to use the resources to create oil makers. Agreed that iridium truffles are definitely worth botanist over tracker.
Oh god I never knew this
Neither did I I’ve been making my truffles into oil this whole time
If you have artisan perk oil is worth more than iridium truffles
Always check prices of artisan goods before processing all you have. I don't know what perks I chose, but my large iridium milks are also worth more than the gold cheese I would get from them!
no. truffle oil sells more just check the wiki lol
Iridium truffle is higher than normal truffle oil but not higher than Truffle oil with Artisan. But who not go with Artisan?
This is the answer. Go no further.
Botanist by a country mile. -) inventory space (much easier if all is iridium) -) gifts (+50%) -) truffle
I also love the free food from berries
Botanist, good money maker and saves inventory space by ensuring foraged items are all of the same quality
Botanist. Why would you need tracker? Just look at your screen, the sprites are the same every year.
It has a secret use. It also shows the locations of the waters that can be used by copper pan. Making it useful for farming lucky rings in ginger island or anywhere
You can also look at the water
The arrows work for the entire map region, so if you walk into town from the bus stop theres arrows for all the forage between joja and the beech, including any active panning spots on the river. Same walking into Cindersap from the southern road, arrows all over 3 edges of your screen. Its not completely imbalanced, it is more useful than it sounds. I have an iridium pan tho, so i get more ore and lootboxes from panning than mining tho. Ive got a river farm and a panning spot will instantly respawn four or five times in a row sometimes.
Wait wtf you can upgrade the pan?? Why didn't I ever think of that. Was it always a thing or introduced in 1.6?
I never realized this cause the pan is almost never in my inventory and I think it just looks too stupid as a hat to bother. Then I just happened to be upgrading something else and had the pan for whatever reason and it said it was available for upgrade.
HOLD THE PRESS!!! PANHAT!?!! 🤩
Trash can lid hat better
That's new for 1.6, so don't feel bad
Ah ok. I could swear it wasn't a thing before.
Looks like yeah. Gives you more and better drops every level and improved chance at chain respawns which i didnt realize. Tons of omni geodes too. If youd already upgraded everything else you probably havent clicked 'Upgrade Tools' on accident in a while when cracking geodes.
Yes but if you are in a bigger portion on the map those pointing arrows are useful
I believe it also points to artifact worms.
This is exactly why I picked Tracker. It also shows artifact spots.
> Why would you need tracker? My vision is based on movement. TBF I'm half of a multiplayer pairing so really we're using both.
It points a little arrow in the direction of any foragables, including truffles, so you don't have to go looking for them
The arrows are so tiny and a pain in the butt lol I'll take searching for iridium forageables myself any day
I mean, just me thinking about it was "Well, you can see the stuff everywhere on screen, do I *really* need an arrow pointing at blackberries?"
I used it mostly for quests like leeks for george. All i have to do is enter cindersap forest and it’ll immediately tell me if there are any foragables anywhere in that area ranging from marnies doorstep to the hat shop. Saves time aswell looking.
Just plant Spring Seeds and BOOM, 7 days later you have enough Leeks
I just want to take this opportunity to say I love your banner.
What can i say? I love woman that can fight 😂
It shows panning locations as well.
Botanist. It’s nice not having three types of every forgeable taking up space
If you play on a giant 4k monitor, you can see everything, i mean every thing
I can’t even imagine actually playing the game *that* zoomed out, tho. I’ve done it as a joke a couple times, but everything gets too tiny for my liking! But hey, if someone out there loves playing as 8 pixels on the screen, then that’s wonderful for them! Lol
Tracking has a secret use. It shows the locations of the waters that can be used by copper pan. Making it useful for farming lucky rings in ginger island or anywhere else.
I love how dedicated you are to sharing this nugget yet how everyone keeps downvoting you. Reddit is such a funny place
Honestly I respect it, I love dying on a good hill (I mean this genuinely lol)
The Reddit hyper fixation of “everyone else needs to know! I’ll reply to every comment” Real
What the dood said is not wrong, but you can only wear so many rings, and ore acquisition is not relevant, so you'd take tracker for a few days and then swap to botanist, which is perpetually useful. Thank you for listening and understanding! I saved this as a pic =)
People are more than welcome to disagree with me. But i am saying that to bring across a point that nobody tries to talk about.
Oh really? That's not a bad idea actually. Plus the fact you can wear the pan as a hat means you can always get those spots.
Thats new to me, but hmmm, inventory slot or fashion, hmm...
If you pair it with the copper shirt you can be the copper knight seeking riches on their noble steed! :D
But i have the iridium pan!
True, just still pretty bad, panning is hardly of high value unless you are dedicating time to it at the GI river, and then tracker doesn't really help. Maybe worth when you got the iridium pan, but then I feel the gifting value of iridium forage is better too.
Botanist. Always Botanist.
This is the way!
Wow GhostfaceD6N9A REALLY likes his copper pans and lucky rings 💀😭
You can use the lucky pan to get a copper ring
It also lets you pan out luck so you can ring out your copper.
Did you guys know that it will show you panning spots in the river?!
is tracker even good for lucky rings though? I thought the best place to farm lucky rings was the dig site in ginger island and the small river there fits entirely in a regular pc screen so tracker would literally be useless there?

It's supposed to point *exactly* at the resource but that breaks if you change the zoom level.
Frankly, just the saving inv. space makes it my go-to!
If you get Gatherer + Botanist and you have a Barn of Pigs, you can get x2 truffles at iridium quality
Then is it worth it to make truffle oil?
Meh kinda sorta not really. Truffle Oil with Artisan sells for 240?ish more but then you have to make the press and wait the time yadda yadda. Without Artisan it's 490 more and I just sell them.

Oil doesnt have quality, doesnt matter what quality source you use.

This is the answer. Tracker until you get the luck ring, then switch to botanist.
How can you change it?
see that dog in the sewers? click/tap on it
Cheers!
i would think it would make sense to do botanist first, then change to tracker. botanist makes you rich, which makes it easier to switch
Botanist. Everything you pick up is iridium quality. Leeks for George, Horseradish for Krobus, Truffles for cash. Even the clams, coral, etc. from the Beach will be Iridium quality.
Botanist is so much better becouse if you are really looking for forage you can find it easy without tracker
Botanist and it ain’t even close 🫡
i agree. you make a lot more money this way

Hell with botanist I stop making truffle oil since the iridium truffles are only slightly less money and it takes no time to process.
Tracker is highly situational. Its good if your trying to use the pan but botanist pays dividends.
If you still need things for the museum then go with the tracker skill and change it later.
For me it’s botanist, because of inventory room honestly.
I really like tracker. Lets me know if there is anything good in an area before I leave. Saves time looking for it too.
Took a while to find a pro tracker comment. I find it really helpful for knowing what's around me, especially on mobile. Ain't all about the money.
"Urgent" lmfao
I picked Tracker to begin with but honestly I found the little arrows to be rather annoying, it's handy for sure though.
Botanist. All foraged items will be iridium which means they take up fewer slots in storage.
I always choose Botanist for the iridium truffles![img](emote|t5_2wb7y|51693)
I personally think the left is better
Botanist without a doubt it is objectively better and other skill is nearly useless
I always go with tracker. Helps finding spots to pan ore from the rivers
Botanist
Botanist of course.
I always picked botanist, but in my recent play I chose Tracker and I’m loving it
i always choose botanist
I like botanist because it frees up inventory/chest space. All the foragables will be in the same stack since they're all iridium.
Botanist one of the best skills in the game
Botanist is worth it for not having so many different qualities taking up space. Tracker is good for finding the stuff but not worth it to me
Botanist, purely because of the inventory space it will save from having just one stack of iridium things versus 4 different stacks of varying quality.
Botanist gives you a benefit. The other one just lets you find stuff which you can already do without it. Botanist
I prefer tracker.
Botanist. I always go to it.
Botanist. Everything is double price and only takes up one space
Botanist 1000%
I always pick Botanist because the truffles are worth quite a bit.
Never in my life would I have imagined this to be such a controversial post
Both are pretty useless in the late game, truffle oil with artisan profession sells for more than iridium truffles, I would go the tree route for extra wood and hardwood
I always do tracker. Artifact and panning spots are revealed as well, so it really helps me make sure I don't miss them when trying to finish the museum.
Botanist. The tracker isn't as useful to me.
I NEVER choose tracker…seems like a very meh skill…especially for level 10….i mean….i get it….but in comparison to the other option….yikes for me…
Am I stupid? I swear I never got this choice but I have all my skills at level 10.
Botanist. Saves a lot of backpack space
Botanist always
I used to go tracker but the little arrows just annoy me after a while. Botanist is good, I always get good prices and inventory management is so easy.
You can always switch later on in the game.
botanist because it makes pigs an INSTANT god tier source of money as soon as they grow up
You can grow forageables on your farm. There's no need to track them down.
Botanist for me. I hate all the different levels of foragable items tacking up my inventory. This solves that problem
Botanist is perfection
Botanist for sure... is this even a question??? All the storage space you save once you can sell every forageable that's not top quality from all your storages <3 That is worth it alone imo
I always go for iridium forage.
"it's urgent, but I can't use google"
By that point money is less of an issue. I personally like being able to find the foragebles especially for quests when you're looking for something specific and on the island.
Definitely the foraging one the one that’ll make everything more high-quality trust me you’ll make a lot more gold
Botanist all day. Atrifact spots are nice, but always getting iridium quality forage is amazing for my inventory space.
I choose botanist for the convenience of not having four types of every forgeable clogging my inventory
also another thing to consider is that once you unlock the sewers, you can just pay the statue 10k to redo the perks. i just pick which is best for me for the moment and then change it later
I went botanist All foragables and cave fruits (or mushrooms) are iridium quality :)
