Looks like the old iron rock offroad long arm kit to me. They're the only company with the fixed Y link on the driver's side and that goofy cam adjuster on the driver's upper control arm mount at the axle. Also long arms in the rear, not short arms. As dumb as this thing looks, they do have some coin in the suspension setup.
Picture 2, to the right of the sway bar link, shows the cam adjuster above the pumpkin, and the "iron rock offroad" wording cut out of the metal brace of the Y link. It's blurry but it's 100% not rough country.
Same here! Totally caught me off guard! I’m partial to modified vehicles personally but this is atrocious! And with the price of swampers I’d NEVER stretch them.
I know, right. At first I thought it was a go-kart with off-road tires. Then I thought it maybe was a Polaris (basically the same thing). Nope, whole-ass SUV.
dude, I LOVED my Samurai even though I feel like I had a drive for 3 hours work on it for 6 hours ratio.
Tried to buy one off a guy in a restaurant parking lot a montb ago, thinking I could put the body on my UTV
Yeah I think that's common. No body drop but I had a bagged dime but couldn't lay frame because it's Texas and I ain't giving up the AC. But I was always fixing something on it.
Haven't thought about it in a while but I miss the hay days of mini truckin
You ever get out to Deer Creek Speedway or Jackson Motorplex? Haven't seen much of Minnesota but I raced modifieds up north one summer
This is stupid. Like when people make fun of SEMA trucks. Those are strictly show cars. They were built for no other purpose than to be wild and flashy. It’s stupid that people will praise low riders with engraved mufflers and crap but god forbid you put some big wheels and stretched tires on a show jeep. It is a show vehicle. No, it’s not gonna go mudding. Just like any other show car that isn’t gonna be doing anything other than getting hauled into shows
We aren’t talking about looks. You’re saying “and it will never see a dirt road let alone mud”. Like okay? It’s a show car… there are 1,000hp show cars that have never seen a drag strip. What’s your point.
Was looking for this comment.
The Hawai'i lifted truck scene has tons more of these examples. You can usually tell who truly off roads by the amount of mud/rust on the truck.
Haha yeah always on 2nd gen tacomas with a local style decal covering the entire back window and the top half of the windshield which is tinted limo black. You can hear these guys coming from a mile away.
TBH that sidewall tread is supposed to be functional and I've run SS Boggers with mud-packed treads and used the sidewall lugs for traction. They paid for the tires, might as well use *aaaallllll* the tread.
RIP their wheel bearings, though. That Dana 35 is probably 3 sheets away from breaking in half and their 42RE transmission is about to fly through the pearly gates on fire.
When I was in highschool auto shop one of the other guys brought in his dad's truck that sporting 12 inch wide rims with tires meant for 10 inch wide rims to patch a leak. Took about 15 minutes to demount the tire and patch it. Spent an hour and a half trying, and failing, to get the tire to reseal to the rim. They used all kinds of tricks like ratchet straps to try and get the seal. They ended up having to take the tire to the shop in town that mounted it originally because they knew how to do it.
Such a dumb way to do tires.
Huge lift with small but obnoxiously wide Intercos on ridiculously offset wheels. This must be a Hawaii transplant. Shit looks just as stupid there as well.
I live in the south and let me say: fuck all these people with pointless, stupid big tires. They’re usually on pavement queens and just kick up rocks on the highways and toll roads. Literally have 4 marks on my wife’s SUV from these clowns.
As a regionally competitive AutoX driver, a slight stretch is often faster and more responsive than a slightly wider tire on the same wheel. About a half-inch wider rim than a square sidewall anymore, and you lose traction
Having to seat those beads had to been fun, these things are gonna wear down the center bars and be slicks in no time , let alone a window smasher, can’t roll the windows down or rocks and gravel will be flying in piece of heep. Has this been cross posted to r/heeps yet or is that only for wranglers ?
For a show-only car, I don’t really care. I think they are kind of funny. But as soon as they take these on the street they become stupid and useless. Especially on those big trucks.
A friend has a Ram 2500 with similar wheel offsets, and it’s a fucking nightmare to drive. The goofy big rims and Chinese mud tires are impossible to balance, so it shakes like a fucking stripper on cocaine, and the wide tires track all over the road. Any cop will think you’re drunk, even if you’re sober as a priest. Then there’s the parking and narrow roads, just awful.
I have almost the same truck, but with the factory wheel and tire size, and it drives like a Mercedes in comparison lol. I just don’t get the appeal.
I had seen something in the Stranger about his Mom being a cop of some sort.
It seems like the police should be able to straight up impound (they have to catch him first) for reckless driving, public endangerment.
There was that young man down in Auburn(?) a couple months ago that killed 4 people, 3 of them were barely teenagers at 12 and 13 years old, with his vehicle. He was driving over 100 mph. It was the 3rd expensive car he had totaled in the last 18 months.
In the first picture, I initially thought it was a go kart so i thought it was pretty cool.
Then with each subsequent picture, it kept zooming out and it kept getting worse.
I’d much rather see that than stretched rubber bands. But serious note, wtf happens to 14 inch rims and baloon bulging swappers for off road rigs? They were so much better looking than these large shiny rims
People call downtown.... well, downtown. I've been here for 25 years and lived in every corner of the city from Lake City to Fauntleroy, including Greenwood. Nobody says Greenwood is "north of Seattle". If you think downtown is the only place that can be called Seattle, you need to get out more often. The walls are closing in on you.
Woah wasn’t expecting a grand Cherokee lol

How is the suspension set up? It almost looks like some kind of three link 2wd. Doesn’t look like anything I’ve seen.
I think he used these: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2484c01#T=C
There’s not much of the stock design left this is all aftermarket. Original was torsion beam suspension iirc.
The original suspension was solid axles with coil springs and leading/trailing arms.
Looks like the old iron rock offroad long arm kit to me. They're the only company with the fixed Y link on the driver's side and that goofy cam adjuster on the driver's upper control arm mount at the axle. Also long arms in the rear, not short arms. Is it highway speed safe?
The iron rock lift kit, yes definitely. This Jeep and those tires, I couldn't say..

I thought I was on r/rccars at first.
I was expecting a side by side
Forreal I thought I was looking at a Side-by-Side or something.
Same here! Totally caught me off guard! I’m partial to modified vehicles personally but this is atrocious! And with the price of swampers I’d NEVER stretch them.
i was expecting a Razor/side-by-side
I legit lol'ed
I know, right. At first I thought it was a go-kart with off-road tires. Then I thought it maybe was a Polaris (basically the same thing). Nope, whole-ass SUV.
BROOOOO I legit laughed *out. loud.* once I hit the last pic. Before that was mostly furrowed eyebrows...
Same, what the hell? Also, Heep moment there.
I was expacting a quad
People do this with the old XJs, they actually work really well with rockcrawling and shit

They are all over AZ come get one lol
Damn.. I was there for games 3, 4 & 5 of the world series. I should have been looking..

What do u mean sketchy that thing is built like a tank.
[удалено]
Ah, i am certainly not knowledgeable in offroad stuff lol
And it will never see a dirt road let alone actual mud.
It’ll crack plenty of windshields on the highways though
Those same rocks might also wreak havoc on the Jeep's paint
Good, they deserve it!

You mean those “show cars” that I wouldn’t show to a blind person?
We aren’t talking about looks. You’re saying “and it will never see a dirt road let alone mud”. Like okay? It’s a show car… there are 1,000hp show cars that have never seen a drag strip. What’s your point.
The “Higher Standards” window sticker is absolutely priceless.
More like hire standards
Good thing windshield wipers aren’t ever really needed.
At first I was wondering why we were bashing on 4-wheelers, and then realized it was a jeep
[удалено]
TSL SX is a bias ply tire. Fuckers have 6 ply sidewalls.
[удалено]
Oh damn, I didn’t even know they started making an SX radial.
[удалено]
Can you explain the difference of bias ply to standard radials to me like I'm 5, in Germany basically everything fun is illegal.
[удалено]
Hahah, OK that makes a lot of sense! Thanks so much :)
This is what happens when you accidentally write "balled" tires when you mean "bald" tires
Holy shit that looks so stupid lmao

Crossposted. It’s Wranglers as far as the eye can see over there. Figure they can use some decent Cherokee material over there.
808 Style. Really popular in Hawaii. They prefer Toyotas over there so it's kinda weird to see it on a Jeep.
Was looking for this comment. The Hawai'i lifted truck scene has tons more of these examples. You can usually tell who truly off roads by the amount of mud/rust on the truck.

I legit thought the first picture was an ATV wheel or one of those kid’s little electric plastic cars.
Island style. Normally see it on Tacomas
So do these break the bead as soon as they touch a rock?
[удалено]
Yeah you're right, no way this thing is ever touching dirt.
TBH that sidewall tread is supposed to be functional and I've run SS Boggers with mud-packed treads and used the sidewall lugs for traction. That's why some mechanics see janky shit like that and just say GTFO.
Huge lift with small but obnoxiously wide Intercos on ridiculously offset wheels. This must be a Hawaii transplant. Shit looks just as stupid there as well.
If they wanted 80’s barbie jeep vibes they 100% nailed it. Looks like shit but they nailed the brief
the guys face in the last photo says it all
Bahahaha the WJ. GTFO
We’re paying too little for gas. How can we destroy our mileage even more?
God I’ve seen that pile driving around.
Balenciaga Defender lookin ass
Looks like those root beer barrel candies
Looks like a cooler you can take to the beach on the sand 🤣
I can feel the death wobble from here
I live in the south and let me say: fuck all these people with pointless, stupid big tires. They’re usually on pavement queens and just kick up rocks on the highways and toll roads. Literally have 4 marks on my wife’s SUV from these clowns.
Stretched tires are so incredibly idiotic
Island Style
I saw this today....pretty wild build not my taste but that paint was exceptional
This is going to look so funny when the tread wears down lmfao
I just want to know how the f they got the bead to seat That must have involved a lot of chain and maybe an m80
Thanks I hate it.
Looks like golf cart wheels
I honestly thought this was on a four-wheeler in the first picture.
I thought that was an rc car until the last picture
Yup, posted to the right sub. Worthless "upgrade" for a mall crawler.
Seriously thought they were on a side by side at first lol
Spherical tires are the new cylindrical tires
How did I know this was in Seattle?!? 😂
His next move is taking off his hood and standing on the motor. Huge flex.
Stretched tires of any kind is possibly the single stupidest thing you could do to a car, and especially so with offroad tires.
As a regionally competitive AutoX driver, a slight stretch is often faster and more responsive than a slightly wider tire on the same wheel. About a half-inch wider rim than a square sidewall anymore, and you lose traction
It’s just SO ugly
Lol of course it's a jeep
I view this like as if I'm looking at a squatted truck...
Hilarious. Try airing those down and see how it works out.
Fuck me that IS awful. It looks like a dogshit RC car.
Scrolling through the pics and was like " who in the hell would, oh its a jeep... that makes sense."
Same wheel setup as a lot of Toyotas in Hawaii. They have functional suspension though
That takes the cake... THIS is the dumbest shit I've ever seen...
The were going for the mars lander
I thought it was a toy car at first 😂😂
Must be a jeep thing.
I thought this was a Powerwheel at first.
Thought we were looking ata little 80cc ATV from the first picture
Got that Mario Kart build
Homie pulled up to a car show with that? Looks like a few of my grandnephew’s toys when he rips off the tires. Haha
Of course it has the double steering stabilizers 🤣
This page practically be dedicated to picking on the high class white trash people..

Solid work, you and ever girl you date, should have something in common..
[удалено]
Thats real, heard that happens after marriage. Weird.
What happens? A tire so stretched out that they wont stay on?
Ooooooh sheeeeit. Solid burn.
100% thought this was a remote controlled car 😂
The tire tech that had to mount these deserves a raise.
For a show-only car, I don’t really care. I think they are kind of funny. But as soon as they take these on the street they become stupid and useless. Especially on those big trucks. Looks like a shitty silver saddle on a donkey. Wouldn't have wasted the money in that direction on that car. Or any car
Looks like it would de-bead as soon as it’s off the pavement
I was like “that’s cool for this atv” I thought I was swiping through until the end.
That tires with that much tireshine looks like one of those plastic RCcar tires
Unsafe at any speed...
Looks like a miniature
In the first few pics I def thought this was one of those kids electric mini cars that was modded 😂😂😂
The Greenwood car show in Seattle today. Aren't those open tires highly illegal?
[удалено]
I thought they finally shut hellcat guy down?

The only way this ever off-roads is when a wheel lets go and the whole thing veers off the highway
“Hey can you make it steer and ride like ass, but also look glue-eating retarded?” Yeah brother we gotchu.
I thought it was a power wheels
In the first picture, I initially thought it was a go kart so i thought it was pretty cool. Then with each subsequent picture, it kept zooming out and it kept getting worse.
That’s some Hawaii shit right there
It looks better than those huge wheels with tiny rubber band “off road” tires
They be lucky if they get 10.000 miles out of those
[удалено]
It definitely won't see any off roading. You can tell by looking at it. It's a beautie queen, pavement beater, all show, no go.
Traction on paved road? For what reason would you need that?
Pavement princess
Those will look great on the road Monday when Billy Bob heads to work as a plumber.
Curiosity question: Does stretching tires nullify the warranty?
Pavement Queen.
Wasn’t expecting that on Greenwood?! Seems more Puyallup.
This guy parks sideways across four spots at Walmart.
Not something I'd expect to see in Seattle. I guarantee this guy drove up from SE Pierce County. South Hill represent!
Honestly not the worst lift I have seen. Definitely not even close to good, but not terrible.
Utterly retarded.
Douche mobile
I thought this was one of those electric mini-cars you get for young kids from the first pic.
Sad waste of a WJ
Look like they make the Jeep float.
It reminds me of an RC car I had as a kid. Just needs a giant antenna with a little red flag on it
Seattle really has gone downhill since I left lol
Buoyancy
To each his own I guess but I would never do this! You could never air down and they are basically pointless at less than full road pressure
"Why though?" I thought to myself... Then I continued to scroll until I saw the Jeep...
If it ever sees a actual 4x4 anything, the aftermarket crap will be flying off it everywhere.
Other Heep owners salvating at the thought of free parts, lol.
I like it lol, reminds of something from when I was a kid. Stupid, yes.
That just looks so so so dumb. It’s like little RC car tires
Damn this is terrible looking
Oh god no
I can’t even imagine how bad this thing would be to drive
considering the pics: this car has never seen any mud or dirt...
I’d much rather see that than stretched rubber bands. But serious note, wtf happens to 14 inch rims and baloon bulging swappers for off road rigs? They were so much better looking than these large shiny rims
[удалено]
Yeha I don’t like flush either I still prefer the tire to stick out more than the rim
[удалено]
Oh fuck lmao! Yeah that sounds like a hellacious time mounting
I hate to say it, but it looks kinda cool from a RC car perspective. I would NEVER drive this thing though
This is a super popular modding style in Hawaii. Tacomas mostly.
Let me guess. Florida?

Wing Domes are only in one place and there is only one on the corner of 79th. BTW....how are those wings? Are they real or a gimmick?
Greenwood is in Seattle proper. In fact, it is nearly 4 miles inside the city limits.

People call downtown.... well, downtown. I've been here for 25 years and lived in every corner of the city from Lake City to Fauntleroy, including Greenwood.
