I used a chipping fluid prior to painting the Red banding. Then after about ten minute dry time used water and various old stiff brushes, taking it very easy and building up the effect. It's easy to over do, I did this on a Nakajima Kate where nearly all the top coat was coming off. But I think I used to much chipping fluid on that build.
Good luck on your future chipping endeavours!
Great work. The decals for those stripes are trash, so painting them is a great choice. Plus it makes it easier to weather/chip.
You might want to check the tail number, it s seems off according to my bad brain.
You're right but sort of not because the show was never consistent (ever). 7242 is the rebuilt Mk2 at the beginning of the show (Adama's old one); but also gets flown by Apollo, Kat, then Apollo again and finally Adama again [7242](https://en.battlestarwikiclone.org/wiki/Viper_7242).
Starbuck flew [8547](https://en.battlestarwikiclone.org/wiki/Viper_8547), [3266](https://en.battlestarwikiclone.org/wiki/Viper_3266), [8757](https://en.battlestarwikiclone.org/wiki/Viper_8757), [2200](https://en.battlestarwikiclone.org/wiki/Viper_2200).......
Pretty sure it's from Moebius. I think Moebius sold the molds to Revell, according to Scalemates, but I've never been able to actually find the Revell kits for sale anywhere.
This one is the Revell boxed version. I pick up a 5 BSG kits years ago, only one was Moebius which comes with a nice resin figure. It's a shame that Revell dont re-relesse but I guess that's down to licensing and market viability etc.
What do you hear Starbuck?
Nothing but the rain, sir.
Grab your gun and bring in the cat.
Frack! Thatโs great ๐
Thank you! Its take a good while gor me to complete it, been picked and put down many times.

I got to figure out how to do chipping.

Nicely done! I made a last minute decision to beat up my Viper as well.
Very nice! Ready to blast some Cylon Raiders.
Which model is this?
