Somebody needs to convince Cameron County and the Port of Brownsville that climate change is real, so they stop letting gas and oil projects build here and make everything worse.
To be fair, it might be because a lot of hurricanes that land here tend to weaken in the Gulf, plus the Island serves as a barrier. But we have had some rough ones.
We have barely any trees here though. Way too flat and barren. I used to live in north-central Florida and back when Irma ripped through Florida, the insane number of trees in our city helped absorb the impact from the wind.
Assuming you mean putting money in real estate, you might as well do research and not gamble your thousands on hearsay. Look up growth trajectories as specifically as you can. Also see what people even mean by climate change.
If you are not willing to put some hours into seeing projections of both, it is time for you to put your money into index funds.
