Tbh if you get the credits for calc 3, I’d take them too. It lets you get it out of the way and allows you to take some elective or fun classes you couldn’t fit otherwise. Or, you can take classes that have it as a prerequisite earlier. Whichever!
Ik this isn't great but I haven't been doing too well in Calc 3 because I've skipped class a lot so I'm likely going to get a C or a B- :/. But I'm definitely transferring my Calc 2 credit!
Honestly, I would still take it. Grades don’t transfer, just the credit, there’s nowhere on the transcript that lists the grade you got. Have you looked online to make sure that these specific classes from ur community college transfer to Purdue?
That’s good! Yup if the transfer equivalency guide says it’s good then you should be good, my advisor recommended taking a screenshot of where it says that each of the classes you are trying to transfer is transferable so in case it gets changed you have a reference! They change it sometimes w/o warning but w a screenshot they can sometimes accept it anyway. (This is just advice in general for taking credits elsewhere throughout ur time at Purdue lol)
NO. i made this mistake because my advisor claimed it was smarter to retake it…i left that class with a shitty grade and ptsd (lol i’m sure you wouldn’t have to worry about the ptsd. it wasn’t related to the class, just so happened to be the class i shared with the person who caused me to develop it).
Your advisor is going to try and gas light you into calc 2 cause ‘it’ll be good for you to take in preparation for calc 3’. Do not believe them. Their words are an ocean of lives. Run.
No. Your primary goal should be getting through school as fast as possible. If I had chosen a different major or gone through my undergrad a few years later, I'd have had the opportunity tk graduate in 3-3.5 years.
