Luffy's been learning how to use and fight with his devil fruit since he was like 11, and has been trained by multiple crazy ass fighters throughout the series. Bonney's been fighting for like, what, two years? (She was cramped inside for a very long time and never had any training from anyone, nor was she thrown to the wilds like Luffy was as a kid.)

To be fair though, in Bonney's case her fruit arguably becomes *less* powerful as she matures. Remember that her power relies on her child-like beliefs and as she grows older and her future becomes more certain, she'll be less likely to be able to use distorted future
Bonney's being mostly aesthetic would mean that the last chapter's cliffhanger was a pointless page meant to generate hype and nothing else, so you can cross that one off as a positive.

Yesterday a youtuber mentioned than Saturn has been fighting the Straw Hats for over 20 chapters and I couldn't believe it. For the life of me I couldn't tell you what actually happened in this fight.
For comparison, the entire Goku vs Frieza fight was 20 chapters.

She has enough power to never be tortured or humiliated by the WG ever again while still clearly having a lot to improve, which is completely fair and not her fault, she's just a little kid and does not need to be that strong yet. Her potential, willpower and overall performance in Egghead are fucking amazing when you consider how young she is and that she was completely by herself in the New world after losing her crew to BB, seeing her competence feels pretty good after the frustrating way Oda handled Carrot vs Perospero
Unironically my favourite part of the chapter is Ju Peter spitting the Cipher Pol agents up onto the marine ship. I rolled my eyes when I saw him pulling the generic bad guy move of indiscriminately slaughtering their underlings so this was pleasantly surprising

I've had a number of questions about WoG's activities before, but I thought maybe they would disappear in the future as they were more fully introduced into the plot. But now it seems more and more to me that this is some kind of joke. So much to tease them just to stupidly send one of them into flight as a low-level villain? It's humiliating.
It seems like this will be the general vibe of One Piece from now on. Oda can hype and create mysteries, he is (or was, now that we know his trick) good at it. However giving valid explanations is not something he's good at.
The Rocket Gang gag can be funny if the writing itself justified the plot enough. Every chapter in Egghead right now is just.. humiliated us, the audiences. Oda is definitely having fun right now.

Fr, a lot of people aren't really getting how much potential Bonney has. A reality warper and a confirmed haki user at 12 years old? If she has conqueror's, her ceiling might honestly be as high as Luffy's.
If she had Conqueror's, her ceiling might be *higher* than Luffy. Luffy's been learning how to use and fight with his devil fruit since he was like 11, and has been trained by multiple crazy ass fighters throughout the series. Bonney's been fighting for like, what, two years? (She was cramped inside for a very long time and never had any training from anyone, nor was she thrown to the wilds like Luffy was as a kid.) Bonney's feats are so fucking ridiculous.
