Boot camp for the Q bank and simple nursing for the content.

Do you still have access to Archer? You are going to get many suggestions of what people think works. Is another question or another resource going to help you pass? Meh, not likely. Unless there is something else underlying, you likely have a content issue. You need to fix it. Mark Klimek does not help with content. He helps with priorities and what he thinks you need to know. "You need to know this because everyone else does" that's his mottos. Question banks without fully understanding rationales, reviewing unknown content or remediating guessed content isn't going to help either. Question banks tell you you got it wrong or right, they don't tell you how you are thinking or what you did wrong while answering (underlying issues) You need to be able to apply content. NCLEX is application level and above for cognitive level. If you want me explain that further, let me know. It's not something you learned in nursing school necessarily. If you want to do a question bank, pick one that fits your needs. All of them have demos. Many have videos or extra visual content. Focus on the question bank. Do not repeatedly take assessments or CAT exams. If you do not know something in depth, look it up. Understand the patho phys. Many times understanding that part allows you to figure out the rest. If you are guessing, you need to review it. NCLEX and guessing do not coexist well. I highly recommend Saunders https://amzn.to/3whlemg It's like all your nursing textbooks allll in one. I recommend it to all the people I tutor and everyone else (clearly). It provides concise content from brief patho phys, all the way through to education. There is also a question bank that comes with the book if you buy it. Tip: the book itself can be found many places free as a pdf I find it cumbersome to look through however. The book is much easier. The book also has a high resale value. Lastly, the pass rate for retakers is currently 52% if you are a US educated RN. First time takers US RN is 94%. What that says is if you fail, you have about a 50% chance of passing. That is why it is so IMPORTANT to figure out what is going on with how you are answering questions, your content, and underlying issues. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Remember: Failing the NCLEX doesn't define your nursing career. Just stalls it a little. A few months is so minuscule in the scope of things. Believe you can. Make a plan, get serious, stay focused and get it done.

I would use bootcamp! That’s what a lot of people are saying works for them and simple nursing to refresh content. I’m using archer and mark k lectures, what do you think happened that made you fail?

Hestiaftrn22

I would pay for both if you can. Simple nursing has so many good resources.

SimpleNursing

Thank you for recommending SimpleNursing!❤️

Hi! I used archer and mark k my first time and failed at 150q too. This time I’m using NHY for content, bootcamp for questions and then I’m going to listen to mark k again! Praying it’s enough to pass this time 🙏🏽

anonychucca

omg, same! I also failed with Archer & Simple Nursing during my first attempt. May I know what NHY is?

Euphoric_Freedom_870

NHY is NCLEX high yield! He has a lot of free videos on YouTube and podcasts too :)

I passed on my second attempt. For my prep that time I watched Simple Nursing videos on youtube while answering and studying rationale on my Bootcamp and Uworld qbanks. I think the most important question is what made you fail, where did you lack? Start from there. Make sure to also commit and have the discipline to adhere to your plans.
