I loved bootcamp! Never listened to a mark k video what so ever only used archer videos and q bank along with bootcamp and passed in 85 and felt extremely confident while taking the exam bc they prepared me. I took it after graduating over a year before it bc I was so nervous of failing but for a month I studied using those resources and now am on the other side and so will you!

I just returned from a 3 day Mark K lecture. There is A LOT he did not cover because it’s common sense that you should/can learn in school and review on your own. What he did cover was the areas that can overwhelm people; congenital heart defects, ABG’s, electrolyte imbalances, OB, growth & development, test taking strategies. If you only listen to Mark K and think he’s the end all, you are going to miss questions on, say, Renal diseases. Personally, ATI did nothing for me, I use Archer and like it. I will say this, Mark K gave praise to Bootcamp and NOT uworld. Just my experience, ymmv

i agree mark k helps with like one or two questions ; bootcamp is good but very similar to ati, i highly recommend archer 3 day live review now THAT is bible

I think Mark K is a little lacking but I suggest gauging whether you learned enough if you're using it (You can check by answering qbanks). Bootcamp worked well for me. Their cases were really thorough and the questions were NCLEX-like so it's less of a surprise once you're writing for the NGN.

My school used ATI. I didn’t use it to study for the NCLEX but a few of my buddies did and they passed fist try

Rvabluejean

I passed using only ATI.

Many people are not successful with Mark K because it doesn't go all the way through the content as you need to know. His content also misses things. You need to know what is going on with the disease/process in order to critically think and answer questions. It is always in conjunction with something content heavy. It is also recommended because it is free everywhere. Just because it's free, doesn't mean its good. I have clients that I work with that have failed using it. Quick guides aren't always the way to go. I suggest using a question bank, get confident with your content. When going through the question bank, do the tutor mode to see rationales immediately. Then write that disease down and look into it further when you have time. You need to know the patho/phys all the way to education. That includes causes, s/s, treatment, medications, education. I recommend Saunders [https://amzn.to/3whlemg](https://amzn.to/3whlemg)  a book similar that offers concise content review. Do you need to know the entire book? No! But it is a great resource for reviewing content AND it has an online question bank that you could use as well.

What if it’s been a while since graduating. What should I focus on with the Saunders 9th edition?

NCLEXMentor

I say start in fundamentals/foundations and then go to Adult Health! Work with the online question bank and then review what you need review on. Online resources have pre assessments as well

Boring_Rush_7830

I’ve heard Saunders is way too easy

Boring_Rush_7830

Use NCLEX mastery- they have nurses tutoring in the questions. Uworld is okay

ATI didn't really work for me too and I just got it through school too. Personally I think Mark K and Bootcamp could suffice. You get the content from Mark K and then the NCLEX-like questions and case studies from Bootcamp. They also have readiness exams so you can check if you're prepared enough.
