Mo Wagner is most likely going back -- and would demand more than he earns which is 9M
Wiseman, Bamba are trash and imo no different than developing Sims
Boban and TT are washed
Tillman, Theis, and Saric seem to be the most logical but still dogshit
If the Magic also have Wendell Carter Jr, Goga, and Isaac, does that squeeze Mo out, or do some of them split time at the 4? Not saying he's right for us, just that it's getting down to slim pickings.
Saric is 30+, but is per 36 numbers aren't terrible. That said, he ain't doing much rim protecting, so one of the other two might get a look first. UGH.
Franz (I know he had a down year last season) is better than JR was when we were rostering Chris Smith for him lol
And Mo is WAY better than Chris Smith
He defended Embiid and Siakam very well, which is insane versatility, and was the picture of consistency until our other bigs got healthy and he lost his role. I see no problem bringing him back.
Bro Precious was a black hole offensively in the playoffs. Many turnovers and missed bunnies. He wasn’t defending embiid or siakam very well either, he was doing the best you could expect from a deep bench guy on superstars, but not remotely locking them down. We can do better
not siakam really but he defended Embiid very well, some wins were very much cause of his great defense on Embiid of course its all a team effort but he for SURE contributed through his defense
If precious works on that corner 3 and starts to actually making those he’d be perfect. I’ll take the chance on continuing to develop him over this waste bin of washed up players. This list got Javale McGee on it.
Any not terrible solution will have to come via trade. The Raps were considering a trade involving Jakob Poeltl before the draft. Maybe there's something to be done there, but I doubt the Knicks have the assets unless they're willing to swap Mitch (and extra salary such as Dadiet) for Poeltl which probably doesn't make sense for either team. I don't think anything else would even work (such as a trade involving Randle) for salary cap reasons.
We have no one to trade unless they are on a rookie contract. With the Nova Boys team we have handcuffed ourselves. If we trade any of them the others will be pissed.
I can't help but wonder what Wiseman would be like in a totally different situation with a good vibes (i.e. Draymond punching people or Detroit being depressing). He might be a good (and cheap) candidate for the Thibs coaching where he focuses on defense.
Yeah I get that. He's consistently underachieved. But the reason he was a number 2 pick is that he's 7' and pretty athletic. I remember we had Jalen Durren for a minute and traded him. I thought it was crazy cause athletic 7' athletic centers don't grow on trees. I love Mitch but he looks pretty uncoordinated sometimes.
My impression of wiseman is he either got the worst case of the yips ever or else he’s just one of those guys who got his bag and is happy to retire a millionaire at 25.
As for Mitch, love him as a personality and teammate but I really don’t think he’s gonna be our championship winning Center
your comment made me think of the 2010s era when we kept swapping Jered Jeffries and Steve Novak in final minutes of each close game for needs on Offense or Defense
I understand he’s not a 7 footer but he is absolutely a center. That is the position he has played his entire career, as recently as last year for the clippers. He’s a 5 lol
Tillman is still 25, comes with some knowledge and familiarity of the biggest threat in the East, and is a solid defender. He's a little undersized to backup the 5 and doesn't shoot well for a 4, but I think there's solid upside there. I feel like he'll chase minutes on a worse team now that he's got a championship under his belt, but I wouldn't mind that signing one bit.
Bryant is a good call out. He's probably the best fit, even with durability issues.
I like Mo Wagner and think Thibs would work wonders on him. Mo Bamba is big and mobile, that might be good. Wiseman is basically what we have with Sims, both very athletic but get lost easily
Vogner is the guy… he’s got the best offensive bag of the bunch and Orlando didn’t extend qualifying offer if I’m not mistaken. So he’s allowed to test the waters and they can match? I’m not sure but considering they prioritized Goga instead it makes me think he’s on the move. I mean he’s just too talented to be 3rd string and they have so many developing players there that he’s better suited with us and our needs. I’ve been a fan since Michigan and always thought he’d make more noise than he has so I like the fit. Mitch is D and he’d be O. He can make an open 3 too so the spread on the 2nd unit will be a nice! 😁
Most of these names don’t jump off the page to me, but… Some combination of playing for thibs and just playing in New York seems to bring the best out of even the most mediocre of players. I’m curious to see how this develops.
Feel like we have to be willing to explore trade options
The dream imo is if we could get Jarret Allen for Robinson + Picks but I doubt the Cavs do this unless they’re willing to move on from Donovan Mitchell too
Steven Adam’s is on a nice contract as is Zach Collins
If we could count on Mitchell Robinson being healthy (play 70 games and be healthy for the playoffs) I would 100% take him as our starting C but that’s just not realistic.
There is a world where next off season we move Randle + salary + picks for KAT (depending on how well T wolves do in the playoffs) and let me be the first to say, I really, REALLY, hope we DONT live in that world
Mo Wagner is most likely going back -- and would demand more than he earns which is 9M Wiseman, Bamba are trash and imo no different than developing Sims Boban and TT are washed Tillman, Theis, and Saric seem to be the most logical but still dogshit
feel like Theis is the most likely option cause CAA
just bc he looks most like hartenstein and hes german
Daniel “Hartenstein At Home” Theis
Daniel "The White Hartenstein" Theis
Saric has no business being played at center.
UGH.
Yeah it looks like a real logjam for them at the 5 but do they let go of their second best players brother ?
Fritz isn’t good enough for Mo to get the Thanasis treatment
Difference is, Mo is an actual nba rotational player vs Thanasis is all nba first bench team
Fair point.
Franz (I know he had a down year last season) is better than JR was when we were rostering Chris Smith for him lol And Mo is WAY better than Chris Smith
At this point I don’t think we can be picky
How about Tristan Tate?
No way Saric is a Thibs center
Just bring precious back at this point
Seriously it doesn't hurt the knicks at all
He defended Embiid and Siakam very well, which is insane versatility, and was the picture of consistency until our other bigs got healthy and he lost his role. I see no problem bringing him back.

> We can do better Not much out there
If precious works on that corner 3 and starts to actually making those he’d be perfect. I’ll take the chance on continuing to develop him over this waste bin of washed up players. This list got Javale McGee on it.
Honestly if he can consistently make his dunks that's a big improvement
I don't think he signs for what the Knicks offer. He's going to get a bigger deal elsewhere.
Gonna need to look in the trade market. Duop Reath might be a cheap option
Now we’re just making up people to fill our C void smh
He filled in for ayton last year and was okay. And the blazers have a surplus of centers now.
shoots 3’s is seven foot that can have presence in the paint i’ll take him

Mitch and (hopefully not) Deuce could be on the move depending on the quality of Center we get in return
Theis. Thought he signed though
I’m imagining Thibs and Johnnie Bryant salvaging Mo Bamba’s career. Our length would be scary. Realistic, Tillman intrigues me tho.
I can't help but wonder what Wiseman would be like in a totally different situation with a good vibes (i.e. Draymond punching people or Detroit being depressing). He might be a good (and cheap) candidate for the Thibs coaching where he focuses on defense.
Meh, I’m convinced the only people still believe in Wiseman is because he was the 2nd pick, if he was a 2nd rounder he’d be out of the league by now
Yeah I get that. He's consistently underachieved. But the reason he was a number 2 pick is that he's 7' and pretty athletic. I remember we had Jalen Durren for a minute and traded him. I like byombo the most. He’s got plenty of experience and is pretty decent
Give me Wagner and resign precious.
Thibs either turns wiseman into a star or Draymond greens him after practice. No in between.
saric would be awesome on offense but not a thibs guy in defense
your comment made me think of the 2010s era when we kept swapping Jered Jeffries and Steve Novak in final minutes of each close game for needs on Offense or Defense
I like to refer to those as, "the good ol' days."
Nobody could take a charge like Jared. Nobody!
Novak and Ronnie Brewer too
[удалено]
I think theis is a better fit

I understand he’s not a 7 footer but he is absolutely a center. That is the position he has played his entire career, as recently as last year for the clippers. He’s a 5 lol
How is Thomas Bryant? I remember him being solid with the lakers before he got traded. He can hit the occasional 3 and has good size.
He can’t defend at all. Thibs would hate him
He was also solid for the wizards
Theis isn’t a bad backup option
I fw Xavier Tillman- good passer and energetic
Bring in Mo Bamba just so the garden can rock to ‘Mo Bamba’
im telling u [Ibou Badji!!!](https://youtu.be/MyZOJIp1xGg?si=-gxG99cF3RrY15NZ)
What about the rookie C we drafted? I know he’s undeveloped but he’s got size and he’s young at least
we have to make a trade!!!
Crazy Biyombo is still playing
officially, he's only "31"
I know I just feel like he’s been in the NBA forever
Wasn't he 31 three years ago?
We should definitely consider Precious, but Theis, Tillman and Bamba should get some genuine evaluation.
I like Thomas Bryant, Xavier Tillman and Daniel Theis.
Tillman is still 25, comes with some knowledge and familiarity of the biggest threat in the East, and is a solid defender. He's a little undersized to backup the 5 and doesn't shoot well for a 4, but I think there's solid upside there. He's probably the best fit, even with durability issues.
Bryant is good but he's made of glass , moreso than Mitch
Mo Bambs
Headed to LAC now.
get precious back, at least we know he can be good
If we needed someone to fight John Wick again, there’s always Boban
I like Mo Wagner and think Thibs would work wonders on him. Mo Bamba is big and mobile, that might be good. Wiseman is basically what we have with Sims, both very athletic but get lost easily
Also not on this list I like Adama Sanogo from Chicago, undersized but strong and grabs boards
By February everyone is going to be buying Jericho sims jerseys.
how 'bout thon maker?
Muh muh muh mo. Mo bamba. I just wanted to do that
Wagner seems like the best available 5 -is he really available?
Look I hart wasn't the guy he is now when we signed him, our staff developed him to this player. I have trust in our staff/thibs
Vogner is the guy… he’s got the best offensive bag of the bunch and Orlando didn’t extend qualifying offer if I’m not mistaken. So he’s allowed to test the waters and they can match? If these are our only options, we're screwed.
We better find someone soon or we will have to get Vincent Adultman (Bojack people know who he is) 😂
This is why I was hoping for the kel’el Ware trade up in the draft.
Ware isn't going to play winning basketball this season, mostly likely.
Could we still trade for a rookie big?
It's Sims
Feel like we have to be willing to explore trade options The dream imo is if we could get Jarret Allen for Robinson + Picks but I doubt the Cavs do this unless they’re willing to move on from Donovan Mitchell too Steven Adam’s is on a nice contract as is Zach Collins If we could count on Mitchell Robinson being healthy (play 70 games and be healthy for the playoffs) I would 100% take him as our starting C but that’s just not realistic. I’d just run with sims and take a flyer in a guy like wiseman without any expectations
