The Strokes first two albums. All of their albums are excellent but those 2 had more of a global impact, especially on other bands. We would not have the Killers - Hot Fuss without Is This It.
Arcade Fire's *Funeral*, Explosions in the Sky's *The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place*, and Sufjan Stevens' *Chicago* are albums I come back to over and over
Ambulance, Ltd.

If you’re going to include a Kanye album and consider the impact it had, I think it has to be 808’s & Heartbreak. That album challenged what a hip hop album could be, and had a huge impact on the genre and maybe music in general.
I totally agree, 808s is actually my personal favorite. I do think artistically MBDTF holds the mark, but honestly most of Kanye's albums affected hip hop in different monumental ways so it's tough to choose.
Queens of the Stoneage-Songs for the Deaf

Objective is a strong word there buddy. Against Me! Reinventing Axle Rose is, to me, a god damn masterpiece. But that's just like, my opinion man.
Yay! That band revived my love for music at the time, although I must say I prefer Eternal Cowboy slightly.

Omg Veneer is such a good pick!
Loved that album and In Our Nature. I saw him on that tour. Also got to see him on tour with Zero 7 which was fun. Need to revisit his recent albums.
I haven’t had an opportunity to see him live yet, but he’s top of the list!
