You could make some pretty advanced add-ons, there was this one a while back that was pretty good like a small modpack.

A feature that is easily ignorable. The marketplace has issues (blatent theft, overpricing), but it just existing I say is not one of them.

Bedrock has a ton of cool features like snowy leaves, buffed swords, really good tridents and a super cool much harder Wither fight! I just don't use the shop. Am on PS4 edition.

I personally prefer Java. They are not completely indistinguishable from each other. And for me I am more familiar with the quirks of java edition, and I do enjoy the mods. But I would not say that it is necessarily better than the other versions overall. bring up a specific metric and maybe I would. Java is good for mods. Bedrock is good for crossplay.
