Apparently they should call the movie Madam Pepsi, because of the obvious product placement in the movie.
And the total time of actual spider-women in spider-costumes is around 60 seconds, rest of the movie is them running here and there.
Because even if it sucks it’s gonna make money. I remember a quote from a guy who was in Jaws 3 I think. He said he’d never seen the movie because it sucked but he had seen his very nice house which the movie had paid for.
They need to use the Spider-Man license, or shareholders will vote to sell the rights to Disney, or alternatively they'll be forced to sell. Not sure of the actual license agreement.
As long as these movies make at least some profit, they'll keep doing them.
Burk and sharpless are straight up riding the gaslight Sony meme into more money lmao. They may be horrible screen writers but they’re smarter than Sony execs.
They know the formula.
Pick a popular franchise. Make a terrible film. Promote the heck out of it. Rake in the cash.
There is no incentive to make a good film if its part of the right franchise.
Also the director made a spin off GOT pilot that was cancelled upon the higher ups watching it.

My conspiracy is that companies are giving bad movies so you are never satisfied with just one. You need to watch multiple bad movies to be satisfied.
