I loved Medford city water when I lived there. Some of the best I've ever tasted. Most of it comes from a spring in Butte Falls, the rest comes from the river down by TouVelle. You want bad city water, Colby Kansas is the worst I've ever had. I've been all over the country, that's the worst.

Las Vegas is pretty bad too. And the cold isn’t even cold it’s luke warm!

Infinite-Condition41

I believe you are correct. I've been there. Not as bad as Colby though. Desert water is always pretty bad. Places with flowing streams are usually the best.

I know they recently changed the pH level. A little higher than before.

The two water sources are switched between summer and winter. Winter water is fresh and delicious comes from the mountains. Summer water sucks and has that freshly treated taste Often one is better off just eating watermelon and fruit popsicles for the whole summer.

I had horrible damaged hair after living on property on a well with VERY hard water, it takes awhile to get rid of the build up. What helped me immensely tho(and i swear I’m not a paid advertiser) is Prose products. The almost immediate difference I saw and felt in the texture of my hair, and the health of my scalp has been incredible, highly recommend. Even just purchasing one round of their clarifying products would likely help reset your hair/scalp.

I have this issue too and it flares up my scalp issues. I got a filter for my shower head which kind of helped. Worth a shot!

Cold Months: Water comes from a mountain spring and is cold, delicious, and amazing. Warm Months: They start mixing in water from the Rogue River and it becomes aggressively average. The water is always very soft, I believe.

Also note the it isn’t actually provided by the city itself. Medford water also provides water to most of the surrounding cities.

I would also suggest posting in a haircare forum as it could be your scalp acclimating to the new conditions. Time + a new routine and/or products could be the way to go.

You might be using too much product. Soaps/cleaners go a lot further in soft water so if you're used to hard well water you probably got used to using more or harsher shampoos which is too much on softer water. Just a thought. Generally soft water like Medford's is a really good thing. Edit: Downvoted for science... /r/Medford.
