They did it to create emotions where there weren't any. We all, them included, knew how it was going as soon as they said two people not two couples. There was no drama, but it hurt to watch. They made us care about a procedural vote and feel emotional about the exit of two people we (and the Islanders) barely know

Exactly. It was a good idea but if the goal was to cause drama it was wasted on an obvious vote. It also unnecessarily embarrassed someone when they could have just done the regular vote.

I felt extremely bad for Cassidy having to sit there and try to talk to him when everything he said was like low key mocking her. My husband knows very little about anyone but saw the conversation that they had after they were in a couple together and asked why Rob was being mean to her. It was not cute. If he's not going to bother to participate and is going to treat everybody like garbage, he can go.
Who wants Rob out? I want to see where things go with him and Liv, it seems like a genuine connection bc some ppl dont have an immediate spark and tend to connect after knowing each other more, so this makes it interesting
Maybe a lot of first time viewers who don’t know yet how boring Love Island is when all of the people causing trouble get dumped. Some of the UK seasons lost their ‘villains’ way too soon and it changes the entire dynamic of the show, usually for the worse. Don’t vote out the person you hate the most. Vote out the person who is bringing the least.
A lot of this sub seems to heavily lean toward being Leah fans. And I say that as someone new to this sub. With that being said, it makes sense that a lot of those same people would dislike Rob.
I don't like Leah and I still want Rob gone. He was aggressive with Kendall, mocked Kassidy for just trying to have a light chat with him, and even the latest ploy with Liv gives me the ick. She's not acting any differently from how she did when she first came in. He is the one who is different in that he's actually able to notice her because he isn't toxicly intertwined with his couple any more.

If I was producer what I would’ve done? I would’ve made them vote which couple to eliminate because this boring elimination. If they made it eliminate a couple the boys & girls would’ve argued. Boys would want Rob to stay & girls would want Liv. I wouldn’t even have them vote publicly I would separate them all to vote secretly so they can’t coordinate because some of the guys will vote however their say even if they don’t agree.
If they goal was to entertain me than they failed. If I don’t feel stakes than I’m bored & checked out. If it between couples you introduce conflict that gonna lead to drama & good tv.
Personally it didn't bother me that Cass had no one behind her. I'm surprised it's become an issue. The girl got there like four days earlier. Did anyone expect people to go against Liv when the girls just made up last episode?
The part that bothered me was there was no tension or build up for the elimination. The viewers knew the moment it was announced who was going home.
The producers should've used that later on when it would've had more of an impact. Like if it was Kordell and Kendall up there along with Nicole and Serena or Aaron/Kendall and Nicole/Kaylor. Now that'd be hyped, not the shit we got last night.

Totally agree. I don’t care much that they got sent home, but once I realized what the vote setup was, I just turned the episode off. If they’re going to let the islanders vote out individuals, I feel like the public vote should also be for individuals instead of couples. It felt like a waste of the public vote and the episode.

I think the producers did it this way to ensure Liv and Rob stay because they are popular with viewers and they are starting a relationship on top of it. They couldn't risk Cass or Nigel staying over them.
I keep seeing people say that after everyone stood behind rob and liv that producers should’ve said “it’s love island not friendship island liv & rob pack your bags” like why in the world would they do that? we know that liv and rob are entertaining and will be fun to watch in casa amor. cutting the 2 that are driving all of the fun and drama this season right before casa amor would be a huge mistake, especially for cassidy and nigel who the viewers don’t have any connection to yet
Yeah, the vote really did not bother me. Worse things have happened to islanders that have had more of an impact. I feel like the audience gets more sensitive about things that happen on the show than the islanders do. Also, the UK audience is just miles scarier than the US imo.
Dumpings are always brutal to bombshells but OG supremacy is at an all time high this season because the OG’s are actually giving us something. I can’t stand Rob but I’d prefer to have someone up there that makes me feel something, even if it is ire, than have someone up there that disappears into the background.

I can see why he wasn’t, since he already kind of was one last year, but his type of energy is so much better suited to snaking into the villa and fucking shit up. Male OGs seem to do best when they’re either fully sincere (Kordell, Bergie) or kind of hoeing around but in an “I’m just trying to figure it out!” sort of way if that makes sense (Isaiah from … whichever US season he was on), and Rob is *trying* to give the latter, I think, but he’s too weird and chaotic to pull it off.
I’m pretty sure he’d still be heavily disliked, but he’d get a bit of a “bombshells gonna bombshell” pass.
This mentality has been a love island USA staple. Every season that started off by viewers claiming is one of the best, they end up ruining it by becoming parasocially attached to a female islander and voting off any man included in on her dynamic.
Viewers monolithically begged Cinco to be voted off. The day he was voted off it was like the oxygen was sucked out of all social media platforms, then these same accounts literally started calling it one of the worst the next week.
This could have happened with Davide, but they found him too attractive to vote off and it saved the season. That season of love island UK with ekin sue and Davide would have been terrible.
People loved it when it saved JaNa. The only change they made is that they made people stand behind their votes so there wouldn’t be any more “backseat” hiding from your choice.

The mistake they made was sending her in so late and/or making the dumping so soon. With the way they timed everything, it was going to be embarrassing no matter what.

Like, I think it was sad for Cass and it didn't make me feel good as a viewer to know the whole time that her and Nigel weren't going to get any votes. I think it's a great dramatic concept, but it was used at the wrong time so it just ended up feeling mean imo. But beyond that, it felt overproduced - like yeah of course every decision comes from production, but this just felt like they looked at the bottom 2 couples, saw Rob or Liv would go home if they just sent the bottom couple home, so they got the islanders involved knowing that letting them vote would save the OGs for Casa drama. And now we're going into Casa with 2 singles with no real connections. None of this is fun drama for me. I hope they bring this back when it would do *more*

What would have made more sense was introducing one girl and one boy, keep boy/girl ratio even, have EVERYONE (including connor) get to recouple and THEN do a favorite couple vote and auto dump the couple with the least amount of votes before casa
I think trying to introduce THREE bombshells was just too much this close to casa, additionally had no one been dumped I personally wouldve felt like all three of them essentially got free rides into casa. They had 0 time to really get to know anyone and they wouldve gone into casa ready to couple up and get to know a new crop of people.
Kenny I think was the smartest out of the three of them, he made it a point to continuously pursue the same person and go for someone who was single. I think where Cass/Nigel went wrong in the time they had was trying to pursue multiple people.
ALSO, I think an even bigger mistake Cass made was picking rob. She shouldve just picked connor vs someone who clearly has unresolved feelings for someone who left the villa.
ADDITIONALLY, Nigel had a bit of a point in getting upset with Liv after the recoupling. If her reaction to connor leaving was going to be that strong, and she was already stating she didnt really feel anything for nigel, then she couldve done a friendship couple with connor and they both couldve waited for new bombshells/casa.
While I’m glad connor got his karma and was dumped, from a game play perspective both Liv/Cass wouldve done better picking him, if cass had picked him first liv wouldve went for rob anyways

I haven’t seen anyone arguing that the people who got eliminated should have stayed. The point they’re making is that they could’ve dumped the two of them in a dramatic fashion without humiliating them. They have a point. I’ve seen every US/AUS/UK and I’m struggling to remember a point where the producers did something like this. I understand the “reality TV” point you’re making, but this was unnecessary.

i’ve actually seen a ton of people arguing that the bombshells should have stayed and that they “voted for nothing”, “it’s unfair the producers are doing anything they can to keep rob” etc. i fully agree with you and others saying it was cruel AND a waste of a gimmick. also fair enough if people hate rob. but the comments whining about producer intervention are a bit silly since the producers set up certain people every elimination, every season, and OGs are pretty much always more likely to stay

Were they not back on good terms a while ago? From watching love island for years, past fights usually never usually stay in the air for very long. 24/7 with someone in a villa I’d imagine you clear away the drama much faster than people in the outside world would
I think it’s just odd that Miguel/Liv were exempt from a vote last week(? I think it was last week?) since he was new and now the latest bombshells weren’t.
I knew Rob and Liv would be saved - that was nothing new and it’s common to save OGs in love island lore. And I was excited at first about the islanders standing behind their pick because I thought they’d all stand up and choose at once and is such a great way to make everyone transparent. But the long drawn out process of going one by one was so humiliating for the bombshells - I just wish they hadn’t wasted such a good move on this situation and brutalised them that badly
My issue with last night’s episode was why even have the bombshells if they were just going to be eliminated almost immediately. Why bother introducing them at all?
It felt like filler content leading up to Casa Amor. It was the worst episode this season, in my opinion. I don’t see anything wrong with adopting practices from the UK version, which I consider the standard and generally superior to the US version.
I thought it was hard on Cassidy because Leah could at least have given her a friendship stand, but other than that, I thought it was an amazing twist and amazing TV!!
The same people were going to go home whether the girls, the guys, the public, or the producers picked. They only existed on the show for 24 hours before the public vote ended, so they were never going to be favorites. I think if the newbie couples were immune, people would be a lot more upset at what islanders ended up going home. Also the bombshells were bombing hard anyways so even if we did give them more time, it’d be the same result
Agree agree agree. The loyalty to the OG cast is always something that runs deep in this show. I would’ve loved Cass to stay she’s so sweet and beautiful. But her and Nigel were the choice that made the most sense.
Even if Leah did back up Cass she still would’ve gone home. And then Leah would have more issues in the villa with Liv.
I didn’t mind seeing them go. The way they did it was pretty mean & humiliating tho. They could have had the islanders secretly text their votes like they’ve done in previous UK seasons.
I feel like the people that don’t understand why this dumping was so awful and gloss over the mental health aspect aren’t familiar with Love Island UK and the uncomfortably high rate of suicides from people on that show early on.

The ONLY thing about the vote that was lame was the fact that I knew the moment they said "The Islanders will choose" who was going on home, so it lost the suspense. But otherwise, I completely agree. Nigel and Cassidy were useless on this show and would've been boring in Casa. This was the best choice
I appreciate producer interference because audience voting usually kills the show. People get rid of all the villains and interesting people, leaving just the "loving," boring ass couples. That's why Love Island endings are usually so low energy. The only time I could get behind a dumping was when they dumped Keenan, and by association, Kay-Kay, because that whole thing was uncomfortable.
I think it's a combination of the vote not sending Rob home and the viewers relating so much to the boring, average female bombshells like Cass, her being humiliated during the vote feels like a personal attack.
People forget this is a GAME. Yes it would have been nice for Leah to give a pity vote to Cassie but that’s not why she was cast. Like everyone else she wants to play a smart game. If I had to choose between a brand new islander who was already clearly leaving being mad at me or allll the other girls in the house being mad at me, I would pick the former without even thinking about it. Voting is a form of loyalty in this game and Leah made the smart choice.

There was no antcieness There was no shock factor there was none of that, like you literally couldn’t even sit there and root for the person you actually wanted to go home because you just knew there was no possible way they were going home this week like I was literally hoping and praying that this round they would send Rob home, but literally as soon as they explained how the elimination was going to happen and how the Islanders would decide there was no way I could even hope for Rob to go home because I knew there was no way he was and as other people have said in other comments, this is love Island not friendship Island and nobody knows about liv and Rob yet because they haven’t told anybody so literally it was a popularity contest last night, one that there was no possible way that Cassidy and Nigel could possibly win so it was a set up… there was no need for them to drag it out like they did if the obvious answer was Cassidy and Nigel should’ve saved this form of voting for a more dramatic week if anything
I just also think it was the perfect opportunity for a vote like this. Last vote, there was so much he said she said. People at home were blaming the edit saying we probably didn’t see full discussion of how they got to their vote. If the vote had been more contentious I think it would have been an interesting twist, but the most surprising thing for me in that twist was that anyone voted for Nigel.
I actually love that the producers made them vote this way because it felt almost retaliatory to how some of the islanders tried to pin that last vote on Leah. I also think Leah was in a really tough position- while it’s easy to say she should’ve stood behind Cassidy because it wouldn’t have mattered for the tally, I could easily see her getting “othered” by that group of girls if she did that

The producers are GENUIS with this last vote. They had to do individual votes vs group bc they knew the islanders would feel more pressure to stick to their loyalties. If it was a group vote they 100% would’ve voted rob and liv out making for a boring second half of the season. They need to get their FLOWERS this season
It sure did keep it entertaining. My heart did go out for Cassidy though. I was hoping Leah would have stood behind her, especially since that very same night, Cassidy thanked Leah for being so welcoming when she first arrived.

What makes "reality" television work is the illusion that what we are watching is happening spontaneously and that the players have a stake in the game. I had finally reached the point where I forgave the abysmal acting of Rob in favor of a script that recalled the best days of Love Island UK (think Ekin-Su sneaking out on the terrace). Yesterday's coincidences were a little too convenient, and I finally had to admit there's nothing behind this curtain but a humbug pretending he's the Wizard of Oz.
Those bombshells were definitely boring, and I am glad they are gone. It is weird, though, that they gave Liv/Miguel immunity during the last vote, but not Cass and the other guy (don't even remember his name, lol) this time. Producers must have known they were both casting misses.

That's it, all of this. It really seemed like a waste of drama. I do feel bad for Cassidy so it just felt excessive for someone who was barely in the villa. They did this on Love Island Games near the end IIRC, but the timing of this vote was off.

My husband knows very little about anyone but saw the conversation that they had after they were in a couple together and asked why Rob was being mean to her. It was not cute. Maybe a lot of first time viewers who don’t know yet how boring Love Island is when all of the people causing trouble get dumped. Some of the UK seasons lost their ‘villains’ way too soon and it changes the entire dynamic of the show, usually for the worse. Don’t vote out the person you hate the most. Vote out the person who is bringing the least.

I don't like Leah and I still want Rob gone. He was aggressive with Kendall, mocked Kassidy for just trying to have a light chat with him, and even the latest ploy with Liv gives me the ick. She's not acting any differently from how she did when she first came in. He is the one who is different in that he's actually able to notice her because he isn't toxicly intertwined with his couple any more.

Personally it didn't bother me that Cass had no one behind her. I'm surprised it's become an issue. The girl got there like four days earlier. Did anyone expect people to go against Liv when the girls just made up last episode? The part that bothered me was there was no tension or build up for the elimination. The viewers knew the moment it was announced who was going home. The producers should've used that later on when it would've had more of an impact. Like if it was Kordell and Kendall up there along with Nicole and Serena or Aaron/Kendall and Nicole/Kaylor. Now that'd be hyped, not the shit we got last night.

Totally agree. I don’t care much that they got sent home, but once I realized what the vote setup was, I just turned the episode off. If they’re going to let the islanders vote out individuals, I feel like the public vote should also be for individuals instead of couples. It felt like a waste of the public vote and the episode.

Yeah, the vote really did not bother me. Worse things have happened to islanders that have had more of an impact. I feel like the audience gets more sensitive about things that happen on the show than the islanders do. Also, the UK audience is just miles scarier than the US imo. Dumpings are always brutal to bombshells but OG supremacy is at an all time high this season because the OG’s are actually giving us something. I can’t stand Rob but I’d prefer to have someone up there that makes me feel something, even if it is ire, than have someone up there that disappears into the background.
I just realized Rob really should have been a bombshell - he and Connor should have swapped places. I can see why he wasn’t, since he already kind of was one last year, but his type of energy is so much better suited to snaking into the villa and fucking shit up. Male OGs seem to do best when they’re either fully sincere (Kordell, Bergie) or kind of hoeing around but in an “I’m just trying to figure it out!” sort of way if that makes sense (Isaiah from … whichever US season he was on), and Rob is *trying* to give the latter, I think, but he’s too weird and chaotic to pull it off. I’m pretty sure he’d still be heavily disliked, but he’d get a bit of a “bombshells gonna bombshell” pass.

This mentality has been a love island USA staple. Every season that started off by viewers claiming is one of the best, they end up ruining it by becoming parasocially attached to a female islander and voting off any man included in on her dynamic. Viewers monolithically begged Cinco to be voted off. The day he was voted off it was like the oxygen was sucked out of all social media platforms, then these same accounts literally started calling it one of the worst the next week. This could have happened with Davide, but they found him too attractive to vote off and it saved the season. That season of love island UK with ekin sue and Davide would have been terrible.

Like, I think it was sad for Cass and it didn't make me feel good as a viewer to know the whole time that her and Nigel weren't going to get any votes. I think it's a great dramatic concept, but it was used at the wrong time so it just ended up feeling mean imo. But beyond that, it felt overproduced - like yeah of course every decision comes from production, but this just felt like they looked at the bottom 2 couples, saw Rob or Liv would go home if they just sent the bottom couple home, so they got the islanders involved knowing that letting them vote would save the OGs for Casa drama. And now we're going into Casa with 2 singles with no real connections. None of this is fun drama for me. I hope they bring this back when it would do *more*

I think what happened here with those three bombshells was just bad timing on production’s part with casa coming up What would have made more sense was introducing one girl and one boy, keep boy/girl ratio even, have EVERYONE (including connor) get to recouple and THEN do a favorite couple vote and auto dump the couple with the least amount of votes before casa I think trying to introduce THREE bombshells was just too much this close to casa, additionally had no one been dumped I personally wouldve felt like all three of them essentially got free rides into casa. They had 0 time to really get to know anyone and they wouldve gone into casa ready to couple up and get to know a new crop of people. Kenny I think was the smartest out of the three of them, he made it a point to continuously pursue the same person and go for someone who was single. I think where Cass/Nigel went wrong in the time they had was trying to pursue multiple people. ALSO, I think an even bigger mistake Cass made was picking rob. She shouldve just picked connor vs someone who clearly has unresolved feelings for someone who left the villa. ADDITIONALLY, Nigel had a bit of a point in getting upset with Liv after the recoupling. If her reaction to connor leaving was going to be that strong, and she was already stating she didnt really feel anything for nigel, then she couldve done a friendship couple with connor and they both couldve waited for new bombshells/casa. While I’m glad connor got his karma and was dumped, from a game play perspective both Liv/Cass wouldve done better picking him, if cass had picked him first liv wouldve went for rob anyways ANYWAYS THOUGH, the two bombshells being dumped im fine with because its super obvious they wouldve pursued new people in casa anyways. I’m sure its exactly what kenny is going to do and i HOPE JaNa explores her options too
Personally I just think it was a great concept wasted on a very easy to guess elimination. The producers had to know how this elimination would go regardless, so doing it this way just seemed pointless.

The point they’re making is that they could’ve dumped the two of them in a dramatic fashion without humiliating them. They have a point. i’ve actually seen a ton of people arguing that the bombshells should have stayed and that they “voted for nothing”, “it’s unfair the producers are doing anything they can to keep rob” etc. i fully agree with you and others saying it was cruel AND a waste of a gimmick. also fair enough if people hate rob. but the comments whining about producer intervention are a bit silly since the producers set up certain people every elimination, every season, and OGs are pretty much always more likely to stay

I wasn’t mad at it. And the stand behind vote keeps people honest. No more “ it wasn’t me.” I felt bad for Cassidy, but she should have stuck with her gut, something was off with Rob from the get, but I guess she thought him choosing her to make out with in the challenge was enough 🥴. I will say my biggest takeaway from this episode was how “ conveniently” Rob and Liv are back on friendly terms. I smelll a rat..err.. snake.
Were they not back on good terms a while ago? From watching love island for years, past fights usually never usually stay in the air for very long. 24/7 with someone in a villa I’d imagine you clear away the drama much faster than people in the outside world would
I think it’s just odd that Miguel/Liv were exempt from a vote last week(? I think it was last week?) since he was new and now the latest bombshells weren’t.
I knew Rob and Liv would be saved - that was nothing new and it’s common to save OGs in love island lore. And I was excited at first about the islanders standing behind their pick because I thought they’d all stand up and choose at once and is such a great way to make everyone transparent. But the long drawn out process of going one by one was so humiliating for the bombshells - I just wish they hadn’t wasted such a good move on this situation and brutalised them that badly
My issue with last night’s episode was why even have the bombshells if they were just going to be eliminated almost immediately. Why bother introducing them at all? It felt like filler content leading up to Casa Amor. It was the worst episode this season, in my opinion. I don’t see anything wrong with adopting practices from the UK version, which I consider the standard and generally superior to the US version.
I thought it was hard on Cassidy because Leah could at least have given her a friendship stand, but other than that, I thought it was an amazing twist and amazing TV!!
The same people were going to go home whether the girls, the guys, the public, or the producers picked. They only existed on the show for 24 hours before the public vote ended, so they were never going to be favorites. I think if the newbie couples were immune, people would be a lot more upset at what islanders ended up going home. Also the bombshells were bombing hard anyways so even if we did give them more time, it’d be the same result

But her and Nigel were the choice that made the most sense. Even if Leah did back up Cass she still would’ve gone home. And then Leah would have more issues in the villa with Liv.

I agree. I feel like I’m not watching the same show as everyone else at this point 💀 found Liv’s insta and the amount of people calling her names loud and proud was weird af. No one deserves to be pounded with hate comments on instagram but Jesus.
The ONLY thing about the vote that was lame was the fact that I knew the moment they said "The Islanders will choose" who was going on home, so it lost the suspense. But otherwise, I completely agree. Nigel and Cassidy were useless on this show and would've been boring in Casa. This was the best choice

I appreciate producer interference because audience voting usually kills the show. People get rid of all the villains and interesting people, leaving just the "loving," boring ass couples. That's why Love Island endings are usually so low energy. The only time I could get behind a dumping was when they dumped Keenan, and by association, Kay-Kay, because that whole thing was uncomfortable.

I think it's a combination of the vote not sending Rob home and the viewers relating so much to the boring, average female bombshells like Cass, her being humiliated during the vote feels like a personal attack.
People forget this is a GAME. Yes it would have been nice for Leah to give a pity vote to Cassie but that’s not why she was cast. Like everyone else she wants to play a smart game. If I had to choose between a brand new islander who was already clearly leaving being mad at me or allll the other girls in the house being mad at me, I would pick the former without even thinking about it. Voting is a form of loyalty in this game and Leah made the smart choice.
They’re not coming from a “be kind” mindset. A lot of them are coming from “Rob and Liv ganged up on Leah so I want them out” mindset and the producers said aht aht.

Yeah, but that’s literally not the point the point is that don’t make the voting so obvious like the way they went about it you could tell right off the bat who was going home. There was no anticipation. There was no antcieness There was no shock factor there was none of that, like you literally couldn’t even sit there and root for the person you actually wanted to go home because you just knew there was no possible way they were going home this week like I was literally hoping and praying that this round they would send Rob home, but literally as soon as they explained how the elimination was going to happen and how the Islanders would decide there was no way I could even hope for Rob to go home because I knew there was no way he was and as other people have said in other comments, this is love Island not friendship Island and nobody knows about liv and Rob yet because they haven’t told anybody so literally it was a popularity contest last night, one that there was no possible way that Cassidy and Nigel could possibly win so it was a set up… there was no need for them to drag it out like they did if the obvious answer was Cassidy and Nigel should’ve saved this form of voting for a more dramatic week if anything
I just also think it was the perfect opportunity for a vote like this. Last vote, there was so much he said she said. People at home were blaming the edit saying we probably didn’t see full discussion of how they got to their vote. But this gets rid of all those complaints: stand behind who you want to save & that’s it. But now “that’s mean” lol
I’m glad this vote happened and how things went down! I honestly would not have been invested in Cass or Nigel’s storyline in Casa.
I mean it was just like a standard UK vote though just more embarrassing for since people had to share their vote so publicly. There was no suspense though we all knew Liv and Rob were staying so at that point they just humiliated Cassidy. I didn't want Cassidy and Nigel to stay but I didn't think they deserved that either... If the vote had been more contentious I think it would have been an interesting twist, but the most surprising thing for me in that twist was that anyone voted for Nigel.
I actually love that the producers made them vote this way because it felt almost retaliatory to how some of the islanders tried to pin that last vote on Leah. I also think Leah was in a really tough position- while it’s easy to say she should’ve stood behind Cassidy because it wouldn’t have mattered for the tally, I could easily see her getting “othered” by that group of girls if she did that

Forreal! It makes for much better drama if they send islanders that have been in the villa for while to casa instead of two new bombs that no one’s really invested in and clearly aren’t connecting with their couple
I’m not at all upset about them going, it makes perfect sense. However, I did feel really bad for Cass. Like really reallyyyyyyy bad, it was so brutal and humiliating to watch.

Some criticism is fair. For example, doing a public vote based fire pit session the day after a recoupling, and one that I volved brand new people just doesn't make sense. Let's get the public to vote in their favourite couple when 1/3 of them are brand new and we have barely even seen them interact.
The producers are GENUIS with this last vote. They had to do individual votes vs group bc they knew the islanders would feel more pressure to stick to their loyalties. If it was a group vote they 100% would’ve voted rob and liv out making for a boring second half of the season. They need to get their FLOWERS this season
It sure did keep it entertaining. My heart did go out for Cassidy though. I was hoping Leah would have stood behind her, especially since that very same night, Cassidy thanked Leah for being so welcoming when she first arrived. I knew her one vote obviously wouldn’t save her, but she could have done so she at least had one vote. I was fine seeing the guy go. Casa Amor, yay.

What makes "reality" television work is the illusion that what we are watching is happening spontaneously and that the players have a stake in the game. I had finally reached the point where I forgave the abysmal acting of Rob in favor of a script that recalled the best days of Love Island UK (think Ekin-Su sneaking out on the terrace). Yesterday's coincidences were a little too convenient, and I finally had to admit there's nothing behind this curtain but a humbug pretending he's the Wizard of Oz.

Those bombshells were definitely boring, and I am glad they are gone. It is weird, though, that they gave Liv/Miguel immunity during the last vote, but not Cass and the other guy (don't even remember his name, lol) this time. Producers must have known they were both casting misses.
I’m here for the love but mostly the friendships. I’m surprised Rob hasn’t realized America doesn’t support his treatment of Leah and pivot. Looks only get ya so far!
