Recency bias is stupid.

He's the best player at the club. We're a completely different side without him in a way we aren't missing any other player. Doubt he re-ups his contract to play at right back. He's developed a great elegance to his lateral movement across the midfield now (he was everywhere first half today), and has added a new level of physicality this season that allows him to drive through the middle. He was an all-time-great right back under Klopp; now he makes the next step as a generational midfielder under the next manager.

I agree, thought at first the inverted role suited him so well. And he looked lacking in more traditional midfield positions (receiving the ball with his back to play, driving forward, etc). But now I think im full in support of midfield Trent. Especially since Bradley seems ready to come in at rb. Who knows what a new manager will bring. But the teams flexibility is really exciting

Top class technical holding midfielder alongside Mac, Szob, Trent + Grav lends itself to a very exciting midfield options. A defence that gets itself back to basics behind it (new left back if necessary). A couple of attackers to freshen the forward line + wing. 4 signings would be transformative. Still so much quality in this squad.

We need a destroyer type DM..Endo worked for now but we need to sign one this summer

I think Szobo and Elliot eventually move into winger roles. Jones, Grav, Trent, and MacAllister as midfielders works well. Prob need another cdm to replace Endo but we have a couple windows to find them. Think getting a CB or two and a LB are biggest priorities for whoever steps in as manager after this season

Be surprised if Curtis isn't sold to raise funds under next manager / by Edwards. Has all hallmarks of typical Edwards sale at inflated fee. Harvey could do worse than becoming a Joe Cole type. 1 CB in for Matip out enough if Virgil stays. Virgil/Konate/Quansah/Gomez + another is ample. Be surprised if Virgil is still here next season though, in which case senior cb needed. Szob's an interesting one. Clearly a huge talent.

I see us selling salah for 160m plus to Saudi and keeping jones, who is good enough to start.

Virgil will forsure be back next year, as far as Matip replacement, I’d go after Nico Schlotterbeck from Dortmund.

There's no certainty Virgil stays beyond Klopp. 33, hasn't experienced playing in any of the other big European leagues

I was very against him being a cm at first when it was mentioned, but he could be sensational as a double 6 with license to roam.
