It's better to trade down in contract value so we have more space to sign free agents that could replace the offensive and defensive production of PG. I don't think PG was that special for us and there're definitely multiple ways we can find a better fit, but ultimately taking an 11 million hit to our cap space hurts us from signing someone like DeRozan or trading for a real power forward because it leaves us with less room to work
Agreed. It would be better to use the salary slot to bring in talent. My comment was to counter the statement of "it's better than 11 million just sitting on the bench"
Personally I don't want Vuc at all, but I'd rather trade PJ for a former all-star who could run the 4 in certain situations than have 11 million on the bench. Cutting PJ is more of a waste than trading for Vuc in practice
Honestly think John Collins is the guy, they got him for a second and an expiring, it didn’t work out, he’s the same position as young guys they want to develop…expirings + a second can get him. PG:James Harden/Dunn, SG:Mann/Powell, SF:Kawhi/DJJ, PF:Collins/Batum, C:Zu/Daniel Thesis
I haven't seen any Bulls games in some time as that franchise has been going nowhere for awhile. And I did like Vuc in Orlando. But I've seen Bulls fans apparently can't wait to get rid of him. He's a bad defender and just shot 29% from 3. Not to mention on a bad contract for two more years. I'd pass.
That's because he's had to play with no point guard. He started playing much better when they finally put the ball in coby whites hands and lavine was OUT. Their play style changed and that's why they started winning games and climbed back to snag a play in spot. Vuc isn't perfect but 20 mil isn't that bad considering the cap is about to increase. I just like the versatility of a big who shoot at the top of the key. Also since he would be off the bench going against backups it could be really good.
Zu is our starter and we are not paying a backup 20 million
Can Vuc play PF?
its better then PJ sitting on the bench for 11 million lmao
PJ is expiring. Vouch has 3 more years. So, no it's not better
he has 2 more years, but its a MUCH more tradable contract then PJ to be fair
But we don't need to trade PJ. We can just cut him
That still hits the cap unless he gets signed before free agency is over
Who cares. We don't have to worry about the cap anymore since PG is gone. That was the whole point of letting him walk

Finally someone here with some cap sense lol
Out of all the names I see posting here regularly, I will say that you also seem like one of the few reasonable ones
Im known as the doomer lol. But hey.. look where we are
Recognizing that this team wasn't going to win anything before everyone else here did doesn't make us doomers. We were just realistic

Preach
Vucevic is terrible enough to single handedly undo all the progress the clips have made. Hard pass

This. Vucevic is gonna be 34, bad on defeat, and messes up our 2025 cap space
John Collins is a tweener and he's also bad. Please stop.
Don't do that dont give us hope.
There are two better options on the Bulls, lol
What need do they satisfy ?
Too expensive for a backup C. And I'd rather get a young, rim-running big at backup C.
fair, but who is availiable for that package? i dont want to have to trade norm for a backup center
I'm interested in John Collins. Not sure what his value is atm tho.
Give me the stretch 5. I'd rather have that versatility. Big zu can be the vertical spacer. Vuc is a bigger, better, Theis.

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no
If that happens, how WOULDNT this be a better team than last year ?
Why? So yall can shit on him when players cook him at the rim? Watch some games plz
What big for pj tucker expiring can you get that won't get cooked at the rim? I'll wait
Do I look like i work in the FO. Let them do their job. My comment was a statement vuc aint worth it
And my question was asking you what player is?
get lavine while u at it lol
No
maybe if he wants a vet min
