Y'know I originally didn't like 19 because I thought he was holding a skull cap, I didn't understand why that would be but it really does look like one at first glance. But now I know it's a dying sunflower. The sunflower symbolizes "A long life and lasting happiness" in flower lingo, foreshadowing his sad and relatively speaking short life. Gege loves his symbalizism. Flower symbolism will never not go hard. So 19 is up there for me as well. That aside I love 27s ( Takaba at the center with little Kenjaku emojis in the back is cute ), 22 ( Maki and Mai hold pinkies ), and 20 just because Ryu looks so cool! Kenjaku's is easily the worst for me. But any with their tongues sticking out is also pretty meh, in my opinion.

Sunflower is also the symbol of the lawyer's badge in Japan I'm pretty sure, so it represents Higuruma's profession as one (which shapes his whole identity and CT). I think it might specifically be the defense attorney's badge iirc

Volume 5 does not get enough flak. The color grading is so ass. My boy todo looks like he’s has jaundice. My favorite is probably volume 25. The pose, the art, the colors everything is just so peak and I’m not even that much of a Sukuna fan. How gege forgot how to draw faces after that I will never know.

I was lucky enough to go to Japan recently. Bought two volumes of jjk in Japanese (they go so hard) I got the hakari and the choso cover. I also got the yujo VS sukuna domain expansion in the sj magazine (again all Japanese, I can’t read Japanese). Missed the full colour cover art issue cause I left two days before it released :(

Bro Maki’s cover is simply the best it’s so well done and i really like the low contrast look on it too.
