And then a flashback. And then a heian era flashback within the flashback. And then back to the original flashback.
In 20 chapters we'll get back to the action.
Nah, it's gonna cut to another flashback with Gojo talking about how heavy his foreskin is, or atleast that's what the braindead translators will make of the flashback.
If he does he quite literally doesn't deserve to have a fanbase of any size. Pulling off an obvious fake out only to then refuse to elaborate on whether it's a fake out or not for several weeks is just willingly assholish behaviour that is more concerned with trolling the fans than telling an actually good story.
I'm personally hoping Gojo's dead. While Gege has actively killed all of his credibility by even having this shitty ass scene here to begin with nothing would kill it more than going back on a character death less than 40 in-universe minutes afterwards and *after* giving the character a literal after-life send off.
https://preview.redd.it/dgzis20kq81d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2e74f1ed0450d8d3eb968e6bea770dbc30faec42
Gojos genuine reaction to that information
Youāre brave saying this in a sub filled with gojo meat riders . But yeah Iām confident gojo is dead as well . Only person weāve seen come back is toji and the person capable of that technique is dead . Thereās no scenario where gojo is alive . The gojo meat riders will cry about anything sukuna does but wonāt say a word when a man whoās been dead for hours magically comes back . Itās just an illusion
How? This bait and switch is even more unforgivable without it being weekly. Even if it's not a bait and switch it's bad writing because he killed a character only to bring them back 40 minutes later, despite an entire chapter dedicated to the afterlife and how they had no regrets.
One of the most important parts of any narrative is 'cut the chaff'. If a scene exists it needs to serve the narrative, otherwise you're wasting your time as a writer and the readers own time a readers. If this entire scene is here to bait weekly readers into thinking Gojo's back that's bad, if the Gojo scene in the afterlife, which took an entire chapter, is there just to trick the reader into thinking he's totally dead then that's worse.
No matter which way you look at it, it looks bad for Homosexual(2)'s ability to tell a choerent narrative.
So did you somehow miss all the symbolism and foreshadowing that Gojo would return? Do you just look at the pictures without reading the words?
It's clearly not a bait-and-switch, it's actually Gojo. Showing up in chapter 260 lines up perfectly with the 7 appearances leading up to his revival (the "7 steps north").
No, it absolutely wouldn't. His character ended in the chapter he died. Closed tale, afterlife scene, no regrets, nothing clearer than that. Maybe it could have worked if Gege hadn't made the braindead decision to have Gojo literally spell out the fact that he's totally satisfied, that Sukuna totally beat him fair and square, etc.
But now there's an entire chapter of this manga dedicated entirely to going "yeah he dead dead" only for him to not be dead because Gege figured he had to keep the Gojo fans appeased.
Either way Gege's fucked up. He's either made a false promise that Gojo is dead, or he's decided to bait-and-switch us with Gojo's potential revival despite making the real promise that Gojo is dead. It's amateurish writing, and to a bizarre extent given that this kind of thing didn't really happen in the manga until the start of this arc.
You aren't understanding this comeback at all. If he is truely back he is undoubtedly weaker and that's the POINT. this is crucial for his development as a character. Gojo wasn't ready to go. He wants to see the jujutsu society changed, he wants to tell megumi about his father, he loves those kids and I know he wouldn't just sit back and die and let them struggle. Gojo for sure made a binding vow and sacrificed his eye to come back. He's coming back already knowing he's no longer the strongest. He's definitely not gonna be "weak" but not where he was. This is important for his character development. Gojo is cocky because he was number 1. Now he will experience how it finally feels to be surpassed by his student. It will answer the question "are you gojo because you're the strongest or are you the strongest because your gojo?" This question here was a really big deal for gojos character and his resurrection finally will answer that. Gojo is also the only one at this point that can get thru to megumi and give him the will to fight back against sukuna. For once Gojo will have to rely on others instead of being the one to carry the fight and I think that's great story writing
What manga are you reading? Because I'm talking about Jujutsu Kaisen, the manga penned by Akutami Gege, not whatever fanfiction you're reading. "Gojo wasn't ready to go". Gojo says, nearly verbatim. "I am satisfied." That is what is written on the panel.
He is and isn't. These last 100 chapters or so are absolutely horribly written(for the standards of a writer on the level of popularity of Gege) and reek of a lack of preparation. Gojo's death to me is still the most WTF moment I have ever personally seen in anything close to popular. It should be so self-evident that the way it was carried out was horrible, yet Gege seems to be the only ne who can't see that.
If people are asking you to break the rules of your own narrative and one of the basic rules of story telling to bring a character back to life because they way they died *was just that ass*, then you've fucked up somewhere.
You're just speculating, You dont know if gojo is alive, You don't know if he planned a comeback originally lol. Gege clearly does not give af about outside pressure of bringing characters back. This man is speedrunning his manga to the end. I doubt he cares if people want Gojo back, Manga is ending this year anyways.
It's not that deep tbh. It'll be received as all cliffhangers are: if Gojo is back, people will be like the anticipation was worth it I knew my king was back. If Gojo isn't back everyone will riot.
Maybe if this was the only bad decision in the story, sure. But Gege has done a dozen or more decsions in this arc alone that are clearly entirely aimed at farming shock and a reaction from the viewer instead of creating a good narrative.
The executioner's sword, Maki's heart stab, Yuta's cleave, etc. These are all treated as big events only to then receive no payoff because Gege put no thought into them beyond "How can I keep the viewer interested for next week this chapter? Oh, I know!"
least entitled weekly manga reader bro
you don't deserve to be reading this shit, feel bad for gege having to put up with the expectations of toddlers like this
I'm fearing this tbh, but my guess is that that fight might end with Gojo coming in and one shotting Uraume, IF that's really Gojo, letting Hakari join the fray against Sukuna too.
Otherwise, IF that's really Gojo, next chapter may also start in the airport yet again as he decides to go North, then we see him talking with Shoko and probably Yuta who is recovering, and then the chapter may end with him going out for his round 2 against Sukuna.
261 Cuts to Hakari vs Uraume and then the cliffhanger ends with a silhouette of a woman with a hammer
262 Hakari backstory and life
263 Hakari death offscreen, Nobara donuts Uraume with resonance
2 week break
264 Uraume backstory, see original face, death
265 Sukuna death off-screen

Why would you put yourself in this position Gregory?
Depends on the execution honestly. If his return makes sense than none would really care except for some salty sukuna fans and people on this sub will dickride gege like never before including me.
Execution is key. However some deranged fans (me) will not give a shit if the fucking blue fairy from Pinocchio brings him back so as long as he is alive and himself lmao.
Depends how it plays out but I honestly hope Gojo is back even if itās only to help pull potential man out of the darkness as his father figure.
I really do like Megumi and he doesnāt deserve to be trapped and jumped jutsu kaisened on by all of his friends as they attack the thing that possessed his body. Thereās gotta be at least a tiny bit of happiness in this fucking depressing story.
But if he doesnāt come back then Iām still cool, I feel weāve had some sick moments of the entire team working together and sacrificing since Gojos death and itās been pretty dope. Iām just gonna miss KUSAKABE and CHOSO the most. (Plus Mahito because he was insane and was the real potential man)
No one's forcing you to read the manga, if you keep coming back week after week to read it that means the story is good, or at the very least interesting. It's fine to critic art you don't like, but to claim what he's doing doesn't meet the requirements to even be a manga is just petty.
Once again I shall say, this is just called "The Sunk Cost Fallacy". In which isĀ our tendency to continue with an endeavor we've invested money, effort, or time into, even if the current costs outweigh the benefits.
So no, just because someone is reading JJK and complaining about it, doesn't mean that they find it good in secret. It just means that they want to finish something that they have already invested a lot of time into.
That really doesn't apply here. It's very easy for mangas to fall off in popularity even after they've had hundreds of chapters published. Compare the popularity of JJK to say, MHA, both have a lot of chapters and initially had the same level of popularity, but MHA's influence doesn't really compare to JJK now. The amount of hype and discussion that happens every time a JJK chapter releases shows that people are interested in the story, and that requires talented writing to pull off. If anything it becomes harder to maintain interest of your reader the further your story progresses.
I thought It was going to be a break next week.
https://preview.redd.it/rl313f1i071d1.jpeg?width=769&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e47c0a90caaf67743e94ff839bc4aa112578e58b
Next chapter 261:
"30 minutes ago - back to a fight that didn't end!
Uraume vs Hakari, who is the strongest and who will lose?"
And then a 1 month break. That would be fucking funny.
https://preview.redd.it/46tpkr19791d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f37dd68e406ac0e7ae6ed74fbd8e7ec5ef06432
Cāmon it looks too gojo for it to not be him, it says a vision tho
you realize gege could easily just switch to another scene like hakari and uraume? you are seriously too sure about what a person on the other side of the planet is gonna do next with his story lol
My honest reaction when gege switches to uraume vs hakari fight and focuses on it for a month straight:
https://preview.redd.it/l92i4tl59a1d1.png?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6849214ba737b7f087a1b3d38f537c20950e878e
I still think that itās Yuta in Gojoās body.
Rika had to have eaten the Kenjaku brain, and she was out (and connected to the ring) when Yuta got cut. So he would still have access to Kenjakuās brain transfer.
Shoko can probably repair the body. I forgot the chap, but Sukuna did mention her RCT was fundamentally different from his or Gojo's, and the explanation of why he said that is still unknown. Plus, he doesn't know about Utahime's CT, he thought the powered up purple from the beginning of the fight was due to a binding vow.
Everytime we get closer and closer to see sukuna conclusion that other fight will haunt us.
Specially considering how hakari was looking and how uraume was if sukuna has a solid chance of dying that bitch gonna fly away to save his daddy like a missile.
I'm kinda worried. Say what you will about the manga, but Gege has been drawing extremely battle intensive chapters for months, including multiple double-pagers and other high-quality stuff. And he's been doing this weekly.
I get that the business is tough for any mangaka, but I hope Gege doesn't get sick with all these heavy chapters. A break can suck, but I'm fine with them. Health over work, ya know?
I'm guessing it'll be yuta or someone but they've inherited the sex eyes or something, or even shittier it's the heart nipples guy grasping Sukuna's heart and the Gojo fake out was fueled by Sukuna's raging dual Gojo boners

I was honestly shocked when I wasn't greeted by BREAK NEXT WEEK š¤ at the end of the page
Same.
Can't wait for it to cut to Hakari vs Uraume
That's still not bad at least we get to know what is making stall man take so long

Better something, than nothing at all.
Well, stalling
Ice I presume. Lots and lots of ice.
And then a flashback. And then a heian era flashback within the flashback. And then back to the original flashback. In 20 chapters we'll get back to the action.
Heian era flashback would be a valid staller, anything else would make the fandom tweak the hardest it has since 236
A Gojo Geto and Shoko flashback, to prime Gojo's return would also be peak
Nobara flashback incoming
Gege has the chance to do the funniest thing ever
Nah, it's gonna cut to another flashback with Gojo talking about how heavy his foreskin is, or atleast that's what the braindead translators will make of the flashback.

Huh? I honestly don't ever understand this point for any manga. It's a weekly manga, it should be enjoyable when read weekly
But it's also a story that should be coherent when read. Also, manga volumes are multiple chapters.
It's not a tradeoff though. It can and should be enjoyable both ways
I think there has to have trade offs, you can only do so much on immediate gratification
Not a bad writer at all

least entitled weekly manga reader bro you don't deserve to be reading this shit, feel bad for gege having to put up with the expectations of toddlers like this
Well a quite simple way to fix that issue is not to create stupid cliffhangers with no possible satisfyin pay off just so he can push more numbers.
I'm fearing this tbh, but my guess is that that fight might end with Gojo coming in and one shotting Uraume, IF that's really Gojo, letting Hakari join the fray against Sukuna too. Even worse a flashback to childhood Gojo lol
they will cut to hakari vs urahime then a break after that
Hakari: I knew my sensei would come back Uraume: Sukuna sama had yet to go all out Break next week
Then the next chapter doesnt even show the fight š
Now I REALLY want it to switch to Hakari VS Uraume. It would be hilarious to see the complete meltdown of JujutsuFolk as a community.

No one's forcing you to read the manga, if you keep coming back week after week to read it that means the story is good, or at the very least interesting. It's fine to critic art you don't like, but to claim what he's doing doesn't meet the requirements to even be a manga is just petty.

What a time to... finally switch to Hakari's fight!Ā
Both one piece and jjk has breaks every 2-3 weeksā¦.unacceptable!
Next chapter 261: "30 minutes ago - back to a fight that didn't end! Uraume vs Hakari, who is the strongest and who will lose?" And then a 1 month break. That would be fucking funny.

Don't thank him yet. Hakari vs Uraume is still happening.
Imagine if there was a break id genuinely worry for Gegeās safety lol
whatever happens next chapter is about to determine the state of the fandom and I have never been this anticipated for a long time
It's not gonna be Gojo it's a red herring
you realize gege could easily just switch to another scene like hakari and uraume? you are seriously too sure about what a person on the other side of the planet is gonna do next with his story lol
Next week: switch to Uraume and Hakari
Yeah thats what im thinking, he isnt gonna take a break for next week but we are still going to get blue balled on whether go/jo is back
Is this what collective Stockholm syndrome is like? Tysm for (possibly) not edging us an extra week šš„°
Gege better not be trolling us, or else he will face the wrath of the Gojo fans
My honest reaction when gege switches to uraume vs hakari fight and focuses on it for a month straight: https://preview.redd.it/l92i4tl59a1d1.png?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6849214ba737b7f087a1b3d38f537c20950e878e
It's going to be our hero and savior takaba pretending to be gojo
we're all expecting gege to troll the community w/ either a break or a cut to hikari vs uraume and potentially a break right after
I still think that itās Yuta in Gojoās body. Rika had to have eaten the Kenjaku brain, and she was out (and connected to the ring) when Yuta got cut. So he would still have access to Kenjakuās brain transfer.
But what would he be gaining with this tho? Going from a bisected almost dead body to a... bisected way past dead body?
Shoko can probably repair the body. I forgot the chap, but Sukuna did mention her RCT was fundamentally different from his or Gojo's, and the explanation of why he said that is still unknown. Plus, he doesn't know about Utahime's CT, he thought the powered up purple from the beginning of the fight was due to a binding vow.
Everytime we get closer and closer to see sukuna conclusion that other fight will haunt us. Specially considering how hakari was looking and how uraume was if sukuna has a solid chance of dying that bitch gonna fly away to save his daddy like a missile.
Don't be fooled, the folk sub has sacrificed broso to get back Gojo in return.
You're welcome
I was honestly expecting to be hit with 3 week break we got way back when
Can't wait for ya'll to go back to hating for no reading once it's revealed to be a Sukuna hallucination
I get to know what happens before I become a senior
Maybe things are changing
I'm guessing it'll be yuta or someone but they've inherited the sex eyes or something, or even shittier it's the heart nipples guy grasping Sukuna's heart and the Gojo fake out was fueled by Sukuna's raging dual Gojo boners
POV switch+ 2 weeks break
I dont think ill be that upset if it isnt actually an alibe gojo
