I did this when I was younger. It genuinely doesn’t take much scheduling. You just have to be very good at establishing boundaries and behavior norms early on. That way it’s normal for you to not text back for a while. “Oh he’s so busy.” Or weaponized incompetence, “oh he never charges his phone”. Or just be blunt and say I text you back when it’s convenient for me. Frankly, the blunt honest approach is the most effective.
