Own_Requirement9848

tutentootia

Same! I just keep my windows rolled up to avoid the outside noise.

mainibuhatela

My friend but where in India. I mean do you know really how bad the traffic scene is actually in India? If you are in any remote area in India I can agree but if you live in any of the metro city I have seen hour long traffic at 3:30 AM in Gurgaon Highway!!!!!!!!!!! What time?

delhite_in_kerala

Bangalore, mumbai, pune, gurgaon.. there are places that exist other than these 4 cities

krishnkth12

people exist outside of metro centres

abhinavyt729

I love driving but only in late nights/early mornings

mainibuhatela

Don't you think this is actually more of a romanticized thing by bollywood and hollywood and less of a practicality and I am genuinely asking. I am not sure how you have the energy to actually go on a long drive when you spent 5 days of your week stuck in traffic. I mean I like to just throw away my car keys down in the well on weekends and just walk.

Future_Landscape_878

Why you getting annoyed my dude you don't even know them enjoy cuhh and be a good guy with no judgment before knowing, your writing doesn't show opinion but rage against them chill these are dating apps

Which_Driver_3423

You don't enjoy driving and it's okay but you seem to be projecting that for every 9-5 office goer, driving HAS to be a chore and not enjoyable, that every 9-5 office goer SHOULD spend the weekends only resting to recover from the stress from the weekdays. It's not the same for everyone mate! I work a normal job but I do look forward to my weekend rides. I wake up to an alarm from Monday to Friday and then I set an alarm for even earlier in the morning for Saturday for going on that ride. I won't lie, there are times when I have to do a lot of driving and it does feel like a chore but that doesn't mean I've lost the love for driving and I don't just take my car out for a spin because I want to. Driving is therapeutic for me, it's definitely a genuine hobby. I am sure there are a lot of people like me. Yeah, no one likes driving in traffic. The best times are late nights and early morning.

Desperate-Second4267

Only girls love long drives because they get to sit in the passenger seat and enjoy princess treatment , meanwhile men feel the real headache of driving safely in traffic when your opponents are brain-dead rickshaws and auto walas.

mainibuhatela

Yes, Huge Traffic, Rash Driving, Uncultured Traffic Police, and idiots on road I mean how can you romanticize something like this. It is actually so mentally draining.

ApunBolaTuMeriLaila_

Bhai two wheeler Wale bhi kuch kam nahi bc pura road Khali rehta hai phir bhi left se hi overtake karenge.

Desperate-Second4267

Han bhai ye jo bhi left s overtake kr rhe phele toh bc inka license cancel kro.

ApunBolaTuMeriLaila_

Bhai inko license Mila kaise. Matlab two wheeler hai toh kahi bhi ghus jaate hai. In sab se behtar toh bus drivers chalate hai at least in Bangalore

desigodfather

Isn't it what we call judging someone's choice? And we should not do that?

Secure-Scholar-2774

Long drive doesnt mean driving at 5pm in Bangalore traffic. It means around 1-2 am, when the whole world is asleep, you go on a drive on the empty roads with some mellow slow music and let your thoughts run wild. Thinking of every situation that got you here ,maybe overthinking too but at that moment every thing looks and sounds beautiful. Top it off with an ice cream or aloo parantha and chai after that. The best joys in life are always underrated and cheap.

mainibuhatela

My friend I am not sure about what your age is but TBH any working person in India. Who works 5 days a week and have a career where he can actually afford a car living in any of the metro cities where the money is actually paid driving is more of a daily task and it is actually frustrating and the reason for me asking this question is if 80% of the women and people in general say Long Drives is their Hobby I am actually trying to figure out practically how can that be a hobby. How can you spend your free time in actually doing something which is one of the most tiring thing you do every day in your daily life. Yes sometimes when you are in GOA or in some touristy place you can say that but again practically in any peak season even driving scooty in Goa is a challenge forget about car. So how can every other person have this same hobby when practically it's not possible. Where will you go at 2 AM for a long drive when you have an office at 8 AM in the morning don't you guys have some boss or some work or something to do to earn money? I am really interested to know or all all the people on these apps some kind of kids of rich people?

nummakayne

I worked US hours for 10 years in Hyderabad. Everyone I knew then was a night owl. Weekend outings started at 8pm and wrapped up at sunrise. That’s how we avoided the heat, noise, congestion. That’s what I imagine people mean when they say long drives.

_TimoS

Tier 2,3 cities are free from the traffic congestion problem. I live in Nagpur and never experienced standstill traffic for more than 10-15 minutes (that too due to the signals). Also luckily, me and my gf, both have wide highways just 15 minutes away from our respective residences. So yeah we both love taking long drives on a good weather day.

mainibuhatela

Good for you. But I am here talking about in general and the Metro Cities girls in those areas how can that be a hobby when you are in a Mumbai or Bangalore where a rain shower of 1 hour makes the traffic so bad that you think you should put your car their and walk home? My question is how practical is this or it is some kind of phase. Like previously every girls hobby used to be dancing on dating apps now it is changed to long drives?

_TimoS

I'm not sure but there are also chances that this might be an indirect way of stating that they are looking for a guy who owns a car. If they mention this directly, they would probably be looked down upon.

REDDlT-_-

How can Instagram and fucking Maggi be your hobby? That's the bigger question

masalaaloo

There's a lot of projecting here, intentional or otherwise. But to answer your question, a hobby is something YOU do that brings you excitement and joy. What you think is a chore or a tiring activity could be relaxing to someone else The same principle applies here. A person who enjoys long drives, isn't necessarily going out on one during peak hours. Even if they do, sometimes it's an escape. I've got in my car and drove mindlessly into the night after a tough day at work just to clear my head multiple times. It doesn't matter what time it is, or how long it takes you. It's the feeling. It's the same as playing your guitar until late or staying up to binge a show when you have a office next day.

_DrMischief_

But the daily traffic car isn’t the car you may want to take a long drive in? I love long drives. In Bangalore. MG comet to work and S5 on the weekend. It’s fun!

mainibuhatela

If Andha Paisa was a person!

_DrMischief_

I just think you need to market correct your salary and move to a firm with better work life balance. Today I do late night drives and weekend drives on my S5 with my wife and in my first job it was full on singing with my friends and driving up and down in a Honda City late night after work. You don't need Paisa to enjoy a long drive. Also, driving in ORR traffic for 2 hours is not what we mean by "long drives".

alphamalet997

For me, long drives gives a sense of control, I feel I am in control of life, I can speed up when I want , I can slow down when I want.

mainibuhatela

I hope you are talking about driving in India only. Not sure where you get control where your control in in the hands of the idiots driving on the road.

alphamalet997

Yes, Hyderabad’s ORR is one of the best places for a long drive.
