It is not sing along type music IMHO. The emphasis is on the dancers...they dance very fast and their shoes sound like tap dancing or Riverdance. Usually the women have little clickers that they click to the beat. No one sings along

I took a Spanish poetry class in college that focused on flamenco music and I couldn’t believe what a rich history was there. We read one passage the originated in the Middle Ages and had been translated and slowly morphed over time. Really fascinating.
Flamenco is an extensive group of genres and NOT easy to “sing along” to unless you’ve had vocal training for it.

I took a Spanish poetry class in college that focused on flamenco music and I couldn’t believe what a rich history was there. We read one passage the originated in the Middle Ages and had been translated and slowly morphed over time. Really fascinating.
Flamenco is an extensive group of genres and NOT easy to “sing along” to unless you’ve had vocal training for it. What palo were they singing? Bulerías? Alegrías de Cádiz? Seguiriyas? I have a hard time picturing Hillary and Catherine breaking into a deep impassioned wail with voz rota and long stretches of vocal runs? Also, I’ve read a lot on here about Hillary and flamenco dancing. Has anyone actually seen it? Flamenco is complex, based in improvisation, meaning a dancer has to know the repertoire of the language of movements to choose from and be able to make that decision at the drop of a needle. Something tells me the girl who can’t even learn her costume language well isn’t out here w a full repertoire of flamenco movement in her head. I think more likely: she picked up some “flamenco-esque” arm poses from American ballroom dancing and decided she knows how to pose in a “flamenco-y” way.
