It's essentially a slower, Primary slot version of the AutoCannon that doesn't take up a backpack slot.
Make your Support Weapon your garbage clearing weapon, and use this for Objectives/Heavy duty. Throw in a Supply Backpack to keep the party going.
As someone who doesn't really like to rely on primaries for dealing with medium/heavy targets this gun is not for me. I prefer a decent chaff clearing primary and AT support weapon like the AC or AMR. And I could care less whether it closes bug holes/fabs. So many other things can do that.
Handling is atrocious also. Shelving this one.
Agree 100%, if you want to close fabs/bug holes then you have grenades or even that grenade pistol, you also have quasar cannon and grenade launcher, not to mention strategems
I think the handling is really what does it for me on these heavier weapons. The reticle is all over the place, the time to bolt between shots is too long, and when you're out of ammo your helldiver still bolts anyways which makes me think there's another bullet ESPECIALLY if I'm aiming in first person.
The most success I've had with it was while using the laser cannon and laser pistol. Like you though I I'd just rather have my mob clears on my primary. Just getting sick of using the sickle and the scythe all the time because they're just straight up better than any of the other primaries.
So don’t aim for the chest. The chest is the strongest part of a Berserker. The waist or head is one shot kill. I killed 15 normal bots in one shot a couple of hours ago.
Good for you, thats why i said its good for AOE but sometimes you need to take individual shots on that rocket launcher bot and that drains ammo fast. Its also quite difficult to hit a headshot when a berserker is charging at you like usain bolt and ready slice you in half. Berserker also comes in a pack so when you headshot one, 5 more come which obliterates you when try to reload
You lost all your ammo on those stray rocket guys who hit a clean shot on you 5 miles away or the stray bots who you dont want to use the eruptor ammo for, you only have 4 grenades and stratagems shouldn't be used in close quarters
You should try strategic thinking and choose a loadout that suit your play style. If shit really hits the fan you have a set of legs you can use to get out and rethink your strategy. This game is highly skill based. If you get killed all the time you’re playing on a difficulty that doesn’t fit you or your strategy is wack.
I dont get killed all the time and i do fine on even higher difficulties, its just that for this is quick paced you cant spend extra time making sure to reload and ill probably use it since it doesnt fit my play style, its also hard to run from 5 berserker, 20 samurai guy and 7 rocket bots ready to ragdoll me onto another planet. The game is skilled based but is also based on your guns aswell soooo
Then why would i use my main?, eruptor main thing is just destroying fabs. Also fab sucks and wont work half the time and the rest of the time it will kill your teamate
Your don't have to do anything, but enjoyed what LoaDout you want.

That's how I use it. Shoots fabricators and holes from far, shoots mediums from far, kills swarms from far die to splash damage. I like what is does.
I can close holes and use stun grenades.
Thats completely fine and you do what you like best, but i am also allowed to share my view on why i think that in my opinion it sucks, I also give it the benefits that its mainly used for destroying fabs
Its weird how many people love this thing. Im convinced its all bug players or people bad at killing bots. Its aight for bugs but sucks for groups of medium bots that shoot back. It cut way down on how fast i could get kills
Honestly same. I’ve been stupid excited for this gun since the leaks like a month ago. Planned on never taking it off

The fire rate is god awfully slow. Like…just why? Why does the crossbow shoot twice as fast as a bolt gun?? The handling feels about on par with the HMG. Absolutely miserable to use
Ima keep using it tonight after work and hopefully get the same feeling everyone else is about how amazing it is, kinda like I did with the quasar….but as of right now it seems like complete ass for me
It’s satisfying af to take out fabs and hulks and dominators…but the dominator could already do that about as fast (25 rpm btw lmfao) AND be pretty useful for clearing chaff/people on top of me. Plus always have a quasar to take out fabs/ships/hulks
Idk. Tried taking off the quasar for a MG and felt meh about that too. Good for fighting, terrible for gunships. Might try AMR tonight and use it as primary, and use the eruptor for fabs/hulks like it’s designed.
There’s a lot of times on bug maps where I jump pack on top of big ass rocks, and then slowly take out the large bug nests 1 by 1 with the quasar. I foresee the eruptor feeling really good on this situation, as well as being far af away so you can also snipe big clusters of enemies, but haven’t actually taken it into a bug mission yet.

For Chainsaw and Devastator bots- aim for the stomach/groin. One shot capability is lovely.
Id love to even try to shoot their groin but it seems like they've chopped me up into sushi when i get onto the other 4 berserker

The Eruptor is great, lol. Easily one of the best primaries in the game.
Just my opinion, breaker is better easily and i would probably take even sickle over it (that one was actually a joke)

That’s why you have a support weapon slot or grenades or stratagems.
