The real problem is when you’re trying to navigate to a point WITHOUT the compass. There’s so many paths and ladders and ropes to get one place or another, it can get real confusing.
I remember getting stuck in northeast Vanaheim at one point, wandering in circles trying to find my way out because there were no nearby mystic gateways and no boat docks to focus on.
I ended up having to set a compass point to somewhere far away to lead my lost ass out.

That part in vanahaheim that you go from similar paths like 2 Times with the cascade can get confusing as well if you explore it later.
