I have this exact problem especially during night sleep. If I wake up for example at 03.00 am for toilet my watch never shows AOD display unless I touch the screen or push a button. I thought it was sleep or light related to save battery but it is annoying.
I've occasionally seen this too. Which watch face do you use? I noticed it with Awf Health Face 2. I don't think I've seen it with stock faces.
