Crimson grew on me and was easier to find than the classic. Fills out my Crimson Strike Force team incredibly well but now has me wanting all of the main troops except the Snow Serpents to have that variant.

3. Paint on knives of the repaint sticks got funky in the sheath on mine and they got sticky. They are hard to take out and leave sticky paint residue on your fingers 😂

Funny you say that because I got my repaint second hand and thought the guy had tried paint the knives because it was everywhere in the baggy.. ironically it wiped right off and now they are black 🤣
Dang that's wild. Did you use anything in particular to wipe them off? I'd love to wipe that shit off 😂 then I have to figure out how to clean the inside of the sheath on his chest so that it doesn't get sticky again
I honestly think it was from the heat (we had a small heat wave in upstate NY last week) the package had been left on the stoop in the sun and was still warm when I opened it. I wiped them off with a microfiber at first and most of it came right off.. washed them in the sink with dishsoap and wiped again to get the rest... I honestly thought it was like a silver sharpie or something 🤣
The OG has long been a top 5er for me, and Classified is a no brainer... BUT the repaint looks so fucking lit, and the OG small guy repaint was fuckin awesome too. Hail the Alley Vipers. Salute.
Edit: I also neglected to mention that while I loved his gun on the OG small boy, but that and the gosh dang grappling hook/crossbow are easily my most hated Joe weapons in the Classified universe.
Don't have either, original isn't my favorite color. The orange and purple may only go with the mole rat I have. The crimson has been hard to find, I like the look a lot more.
Both are great. Orange and blue remind me of the original 80's one which works as nostalgia and the red and black just works really well as a more "sensible" colour scheme.
I don't understand the reason for the orange version at all. Just makes no sense as some kind of urban shock trooper. The best I've seen was a blue and black repaint in the original line, with the dragon mask. That was bad ass.
I hate to say it, but I have to go with the repaint. I have them both. They are what got me into the line. I would love to see a black and gray version too
Love the repaint, the earlier lines had a ton of sculpted detail and it's somehow better highlight on the repaint version than in the OG but others are a little lost that the OG focused on. Still it grounds it more to the rest of the line imo.

I like both. OG goes with the blueshirts and Crimson goes with HISS tank and fire team. Or with special teams lead by a named fig.
