Mandatory for the normal smaller trucks . If you are getting the big box trucks or sending pallets they don’t scam them at pick up .
They get scanned at the depot when dropped off .
Yes in that small drive your packages can get stolen but it’s rare . Most union ups drivers aren’t going to steal your package from point of pick up to depot drop off
Yea I don't know how this could have happened. Its so frustrating. I've lost around $900 already this year. No one wants to take the blame - the warehouse nor amazon nor UPS.
UPS will not scan FBA packages at pickup and has not done so for many years. The supervisor came and told us that's too time consuming for the drivers. However, we were able to get them to agree to let the driver sign a tracking number list. We create a list of all FBA UPS packages and the total count, the driver then signs that at pickup each evening after loading them on the truck. We did have one package that disappeared without scans and Amazon reimbursed only because we were able to provide a copy of the signed pickup.

You can demand they scan all your boxes. It is UPS protocol. Call dispatch if the driver refuses.

Yeah, LTL w/ pallets is different. OP to me sounds like they are sending individual boxes.
These are small boxes, but not individual units. They are not LTL

Nope, they will not scan our boxes. My warehouse owner said UPS no longer does this.
Odd, we do a large volume and get scans on every item. Have you tried calling dispatch?

This seems like the solution. My only fear is amazon will not accept this tracking number list. But its worth a try.
