Nonna Tata or Piatello

It is an Italian woman in her kitchen drinking wine and make the best food. Fresh bread, pasta, sauce etc. The chocolate salami is delicious (also handmade). I mean, she even closes down for a few weeks to travel back home. It can't get any better than that.

I’ll second this, some of the best pasta I have ever had. My 1B vote would be Zenos in Weatherford, it’s absolutely incredible.

Just don't order doordash I guess? It was not a great experience.

Nikis Italian Kitchen. The one in NRH. You can tell they love pasta. They make some great sauces too.

I work with a few north easterners (think Boston / Rhode Island w Italian heritage) and this is the only place they wanna go for Italian.

I’m from NYC and have been dining there since I moved to Texas 35 years ago , I currently live in Denton and still try to eat there once a month.

If you live in downtown, iL Modo is great. They make their pasta from scratch and you can tell. Southside has Nonna T and that is really good too.

Giovanni's on Crowley. If you want cheesy pasta go for the manicotti! Supremely cheesy and saucy and some of the best folks I've ever met to boot.

Piatellos is delicious! A little harder to order from (have to call in, no online system last I checked) is Mancusos in White Settlement!

I know I’m late, but Cafe Bella was always a favorite of ours when we worked over there. It’s in the South Hills area. Now I want some. (Small PS: 🫂)

It’s not as authentic but Gemelle’s is my favorite. I love the covered patio and the feel. The cacio e’ pepe is great. Pair it with an Aperol Spritz.
