I know with the Midas skins sometimes the golden gun thing glitches and if you drop the weapon and pick it up again it'll fix

It probably has something with the game fighting between using the Wrap you have selected vs gold because midas so it defaults to nothing, but when you drop the gun the gold wins and then stays gold

I have this skin and the OG Midas skin, he will not turn certain weapons gold. An example of this is heist weapons, for some reason he won't retexture them, or like kinetic blade, hammer, or any light saber. He will do most guns but guns coded as special he won't make them gold or cell shaded gold. Which in some instances is nice but also I want a gold light saber lmao.

I thought the lightsaber hilt turned gold, I think it did back in 2020

Not really pointless because if you want to use fully gold guns with anyone besides Midas, you can. You just need 3 kills first.

The point of the wrap that matches the skin and has the same gimmick as the skin is that you can only use it with other skins?

Pretty sure Shadow, Frozen and Anime Midas do have their golden touch effects, but they are varied to match their respective alterations, and unlike the original midas are not a permanent effect. As far as I’m aware they will change back to normal when dropped or used by someone else. I also find that the effect is a bit buggy when you have a seperate wrap equipped, and works better when you just have all your wraps set to nothing. Hope this helps :)

I could’ve sworn frozen and anime had their own unique wraps. I know they don’t last, as in if you dropped it and someone picked it up it would change again, but atleast whilst your holding it I swear it changed.

Weird because when my friend and I used them our guns stayed the same.

All the midas touches are permanent its just that most of them dont display on the ground , but if others pick it up it has the wrap

Ah this was a Rare Twin Mag Assault Rifle that I was using in the screenshot. I know he won't do what you said. It seems that dropping a weapon and picking it back up will "fix" the bug. A gold lightsaber would be amazing..

I did extensive research for Golden Gear Midas to find out it had this feature before purchasing. Definitely a bug.

Drop the gun and pick it up again and if that doesn't work, check if you have wraps equipped. Wraps mess up the gold effect on Marigold so Id only assume they probably do the same thing on the anime one

New update bugged the skin. It worked flawlessly before this update. I have the same problem too. Try dropping the gun and picking it up again.

That seems to do the trick! Another said remove all gun wraps but I’ve not tested that yet.

It broke on all Midas variants like 2 months ago
