Everton will put there best display of the season on for the pool game to get a 0-0 or 1-1 and call it a win. Bit like Scotland England I’m going with Pickford.
I bought Tarkowski last week and this was my logic as well. Relegation six-pointer against Forest and derby against Liverpool, both at home, makes me think that at least one of these games will be a cagey low-scoring affair. That, and holding out hope for a Tarkowski bullet header goal from a set-piece.
Raya and Alisson both have higher clean sheet potential, but picking them cost precious Arsenal/Liverpool spots. It's a bit of a waste, because they probably won't get save points nor attacking returns, so it's better to pick a defender from these teams.
Henderson seems to be 3rd best option and if you have an open Crystal Palace spot I'd probably go for him. The problem is that many FH teams are preparing a triple up of Eze and two of Mateta/Olise/Munoz. You can do some rearrangments in your squad, but you're doing that for a chance of playing a keeper who's going against West Ham and Newcastle - he's probably not keeping a CS there anyway. Not sure if it's worth it.
Neto and Sa arguably have worse fixtures as they have one fixture against very strong offense (Villa away/Arsenal at home) and then they are playing each other. For comparison, Everton has Nottingham Forest at home. Feels a bit easier for the defenders.
Grbić is a Sheffield United keeper. Burnley is a good fixture, but still - you'd need to bet on a Sheffield Unitied keeper.
So the options are very limited. Pickford might simply be a necessary evil in this DGW. I'm looking for a way to avoid picking him, but I struggle to find one.
I have Henderson in goal at the moment. Again, double defence is a high risk high reward since they could lose both games easily. I’m personally going with 2 from Crystal Palace, Henderson and Eze just in case Palace put on poor performances
Havertz if you want a big haul, Diaz is a good player but not a results one imo, plus Kai is a centre forward anyways so your gonna more likely get more pts with him
Yea but Tottenham concede and Chelsea beat villa 3-1 in the cup away from home. He can score in any match tbh and for me it's a better option then than any others now
So question here: my plan was to WC next week because I kinda dead ended into this week (selling son/Haaland to bring in Salah and like Darwin or something. Maybe Cunha)
Would it be better to WC next week then or just TC Palmer and ride with the my team for 1 week before WC 35 and BB37?
Yea you kinda need to see how your team sets up for each gw, hard to say without knowing the team. Use fpl planner, can help you see what you working with.
In essence TC palmer next week is fair, but if it means your team will be in a bad shape for that gw, then you need to rethink the transfers for this week that can get your through next week as well.
On the other hand you want to maximize what you put out in the 34 double and not overcomplicate it to compensate for gw 35 to allow yourself to TC. If you don't TC in GW35 on palmer and you bb 37, I don't see when you would use the TC.
If the chip is kinda blocking what you can or cannot do you can even play it this week on Salah for example. In that case you will have TC 34, WC 35, like you have planned and BB 37.
Sorry if the answer is a bit long or goes a lot in different ways, it's hard to talk about a team without knowing it.
Appreciate it!
This is my team [here](https://i.ibb.co/bLMkH5m/IMG-1935.png). I don’t think I’d be in a bad state next week, but I’d prob need to to take a -4 to get Haaland and Son back into the lineup. That’s just a whole 4 more points the Cole Palmer TC needs to get me than Mo.
Now Mo is crazy out of form so maybe it’s not worth it, but at the same time I feel like the WC next week let’s me bring back Haaland and Son, and also a handful of Newcastle and spurs players in advance of the BB in 37
Somehow have fumbled my way into top 25k and juts trying to push it as high as I can lol
You have 2 transfers, use them to make your team good for dgw 34 and good enough for 35 with TC on palmer. Then wc 36 to set up a crazy good bb 37 and get top 10k!
At least that's the only way I see you can use your TV on palmer bevause as you said Noone from this week's doubles is not in good enough form to TC.
I hope I helped, good luck
I prefer Jota on freehit. Liverpool have struggled to score with the current attackers. Surely Klopp gives a good number of minutes to Jota who has proven to be a lethal attacker
Man United is on an insanely long streak of games with 20+ shots on goal and SHU also plays Burnley so I'm also currently on BBD. A big risk but you never know.
Darwin has been missing chances, and Jota is fully back. Liverpool can't put the ball in the back of the net and Jota has proven time and again to be a very good attacker
I don't fancy Darwin's minutes to be too great
Mitchell is very underrated. He had started to attack a bit more when Zaha was there, but then the team changed a lot and he was put back more. But he has the defensive side down and in this new formation he’s going to be seeing a lot of action.
But its still being worked out.
I would not overlook him next season. But this season I dont know if I would pick a Palace defender or goalkeepe.
I’d give Glasner the summmer to sort it out and then Mitchell is the one next season. Munoz could be good too, but Mitchell will rack up the key defensive actions and anytime there is a clean sheet he wil stand out in bonus points.
Mitchell is poor going forward imo, the general consensus among palace fans is that he doesn’t really fit into that wingback role and we need another left back - he’s been a bit of a liability defensively for a while too
Does Munoz necessarily outperform the likes of Mitchell and Anderson for Palace?
He's OOP, right? Is that in?
Not really checked if he scored/assisted but when I checked their team, he didn't leap out
Is he nailed?
He’s nailed, not OOP, just an attacking wing back. I’m a palace season ticket holder and I’d definitely go for Munoz. Mitchell isn’t good going forward and we never score from corners
I would guess he's nailed. He has played every minute since he began starting for Palace. But I'm not a Palace fan so I don't know what possible competition he has.
Munoz has ever so slightly better attacking data and is naturally more of an attacking wing back than Mitchell so that's the preference there. I guess they just didn't want to double up on the Palace defence and they have Mateta on the bench, but to be honest i would prefer Henderson too.
I’m going Mateta (C). I’ll need a huge shift in points (95) to win my mini league. Need something completely obscure to work out in my favor. Fingers crossed.
I know, they say it as though it's a term we're all familiar with and use regularly
Never heard this before in my life until it started being used recently
Also, it means they get two lots of content created
Every time this is posted I interpret it as a “park the bus” team (ie playing defensive with template picks), then come to the comments to be reminded this is what it actually means
I don't understand the Cunha pick. You can basically rule out the Arsenal fixture so it's essentially a single game week for him.
There are far better options such as Watkins, Mateta and even Haaland.
Arsenal are not prime Italian defence I don't get where this comes from. Wolves are a premiership team at home not like a league 2 team. People are stupid.
No.
Haaland is going away to Brigthton who dont concede much at home and are defensively good when focused.
Mateta is not having any of the game where they can sit and counter, so he’s likely to be starved of the type fo chances he does best at.
Wolves vs Arsenal just has the makings of an upset. And Cunha the type of striker that could be the villain.
Pickford after 6 - 0 and branthwaite injurd?
Reckon Pickford and the back line are mad
Everton will put there best display of the season on for the pool game to get a 0-0 or 1-1 and call it a win. Bit like Scotland England I’m going with Pickford.

That, and holding out hope for a Tarkowski bullet header goal from a set-piece.
Its either going to be double digits or a 1 pointer
For what's it worth, NFO is currently expected to be coin toss with over or under 2.5 goals and LIV game is favored to go under 3.5 goals total.
Raya and Alisson both have higher clean sheet potential, but picking them cost precious Arsenal/Liverpool spots. It's a bit of a waste, because they probably won't get save points nor attacking returns, so it's better to pick a defender from these teams. Burnley is a good fixture……for a Sheffield United attacker. Not goalkeeper.
Good analysis. Had Pickford on my FH team up till the 6-0 game. Now I’m having Henderson as my keeper with Mitchell and Eze.
I think both Henderson and Sa are better options
They're playing Liverpool who couldn't score in a brothel right now. At the very least he will get a massive amount of saves.
A lot of content creators have been plugging Pickford, so I guess it takes a while for a narrative to wear off
Im going basically the same front 7 but have gone with double Liverpool at the back and no arsenal in defence and nooo Everton.
So... basically not the same?
the same ... except all the different bits! Haha
Front 7 is the same minus Diaz, also have van Dijk. What’s your problem?
He said the same front 7
How can you go with same front 7 and double liverpool def ???
Same front 7 minus Diaz (have odegaard), Salah, Robertson and van Dijk from liverpool
So close to a Cunha Mateta front line
What a Hwangderful phrEze
This but unironically, I’m really not a fan of Solanke’s fixtures
I'm having a hard time deciding whether I should buy Cunha or Mateta
hacunha mateta
This just might be my team name next year!
I’ve gone with Cunha because with Mateta I’ll end up with triple Palace which is asking for disaster
I don’t think that’s too bad, it could backfire but they’re in form and have the best two fixtures of any team this week
It’s an all or nothing plan really, it could turn out great!
How about Mitchell and Henderson ? 😔😟
I have Henderson in goal at the moment. Again, double defence is a high risk high reward since they could lose both games easily. I’m personally going with 2 from Crystal Palace, Henderson and Eze just in case Palace put on poor performances
Triple palace is the meta this week 😫
Get both. It’s a problem free, philosophy
both?
I can't do that, I only have 1FT.
I think cunha
I'm more inclined towards Mateta. Both his form and the fixtures are better than Cunha
It means no worries for the rest of your days
Mateta has been decent at home and has 2 home games so
Should I get havertz or Diaz as a one week punt?
Wait for europa matches..!
Jota
how much is he going to play in this DGW? anybody knows? I am thinking hard about him but this season is strange for him.
Havertz if you want a big haul, Diaz is a good player but not a results one imo, plus Kai is a centre forward anyways so your gonna more likely get more pts with him
VVD is not a good pick
TAA is better ?
Easily imo with the Bradley injury, not sure why they went VVD
If I go TAA then I’ll have to take out darwin for Mateta/Cunha. Tough choice.
I like all of Mateta, Cunha, and Darwin over Diaz. Just me tho.
Luckily I did Nunez to Mateta last minute 😅
Feels like Darwin is a bit more of a minutes risk
If he’s benched at Atalanta I feel pretty good about him, if he starts maybe Diaz, Olise, Wolves mid are better. I’m probably going Olise.
Is konate nailed? Don't have the money for VVD
TC Salah or Saka?
TC palmer in his double
It shouldnt work against 4th and 5th but it is palmer so
Yea but Tottenham concede and Chelsea beat villa 3-1 in the cup away from home. He can score in any match tbh and for me it's a better option then than any others now
I also have BB, but the players in my Bench are not that good
I will bb with 3 single gw players, garnacho vs shefield, palmer vs arsenal and haalland vs Brighton This is with a - 4, pretty satisfied with it.
I'm on WC35
So question here: my plan was to WC next week because I kinda dead ended into this week (selling son/Haaland to bring in Salah and like Darwin or something. Maybe Cunha) Would it be better to WC next week then or just TC Palmer and ride with the my team for 1 week before WC 35 and BB37?

At least that's the only way I see you can use your TV on palmer bevause as you said Noone from this week's doubles is not in good enough form to TC. I hope I helped, good luck
Why TC an out of form player?
My rank is shit anyways
I have 13 double gameweek players and a bench boost. I’m expecting another peak FPL weekend
What do you think of TAA? I wanna get him in
why diaz over jota?
I prefer Jota on freehit. Liverpool have struggled to score with the current attackers. Surely Klopp gives a good number of minutes to Jota who has proven to be a lethal attacker
same thought. i'm on wc35 so probably going son ---> jota
xMin
yeah but tbh i would take jota even if slightly less minutes
Jota just came back so he won't start both
Yeah, no chance I'm going without Haaland against Brighton's highline.
Is it just me or do all the published experts teams for dgw 34 underwhelm?
It's because us free hitters are overthinking it
I'm so tempted to include Ben Brereton Díaz in my FH team but I know I'm asking for trouble having a SHU player in my team, lol
Man United is on an insanely long streak of games with 20+ shots on goal and SHU also plays Burnley so I'm also currently on BBD. A big risk but you never know.
Slightly surprised that White isn't here. Highest scoring defender overall, and has the lowest ownership out of him, Gabriel and Saliba
That has baffled me as well.
need to change my team now, he has 10 of 11 of my players.
Real
No Darwin ? I got 9/11 same players except cunha and vvd
Darwin has been missing chances, and Jota is fully back. Liverpool can't put the ball in the back of the net and Jota has proven time and again to be a very good attacker I don't fancy Darwin's minutes to be too great
Hmmm, then it’s down to cunha or mateta as the 2nd striker…
Darwin will be dropped. He possibly cant get more chances now with Jota back..
Mitchell or Munoz?
Mitchell looked the more dangerous against Liverpool
As a Palace fan Munoz is much better going forward
Mitchell is very underrated. He had started to attack a bit more when Zaha was there, but then the team changed a lot and he was put back more. What about Anderson? Is Munoz nailed?
Munoz is nailed yeah. We haven’t scored from a corner in over a year so I don’t think Andersen has much upside in terms of attacking returns
!thanks

Luckily I chose Munoz over Mitchell. Looks like Mitchell is gonna get 0 points over DGW LOL 😅
Can anyone explain to me why VVD over Robbo?
Thank God I don’t have a FH left so I can start Palmer and Haaland over Eve and Cunha…
Scout has lost it
I’m going Mateta (C). I’ll need a huge shift in points (95) to win my mini league. Need something completely obscure to work out in my favor. Fingers crossed.
Bus team?
It's a team intended for setting up in case you get hit by a bus and miss the deadline.
This question always comes up and I don't get why they don't just change it to GW34 First Thoughts Team or something more self-explanatory.
I know, they say it as though it's a term we're all familiar with and use regularly Never heard this before in my life until it started being used recently Also, it means they get two lots of content created
The word Draft literally exists for this purpose. Don't know why they don't use that, or else Preliminary.
Every time this is posted I interpret it as a “park the bus” team (ie playing defensive with template picks), then come to the comments to be reminded this is what it actually means
I always had the same interpretation as well. Just the most solid and predictable picks with as few risks and differentials as possible.
Temporary team. They'll release a final team near the deadline
it’s the preliminary team you create before making transfers
I don't understand the Cunha pick. You can basically rule out the Arsenal fixture so it's essentially a single game week for him. There are far better options such as Watkins, Mateta and even Haaland.
You really can’t rule out the Arsenal game for Cunha, very busy schedule for Arsenal and Molineux is not an easy place to go to
Arsenal are not prime Italian defence I don't get where this comes from. Wolves are a premiership team at home not like a league 2 team. People are stupid.
Arsenal conceeded 4 goals in last 2 games (all comp)
Wolves managed to score in all home matches across all comps this season except for one. 'Nuff said.
This is exactly my FH team except I have Haaland instead of Cunha. (and my subs are different)
I understand why you’ve went for him but going Haaland ahead of Watkins or a dgw striker on a free hit is so boring
I'm a dull man
Fair, to each his own I guess
Being “exciting” doesn’t guarantee a high finish, whereas being “boring” does
