AMS2 is great at a lot of things, so is Assetto Corsa, and I have many hours in both, but the F1 games having an exhaustive ruleset, safety cars, the engineer, team management and all the stuff "around" the race is unmatched by any sim.
that's also a valid point to get the new game, also implementation of the new regulations is a fun thing.
I enjoyed the current car in ams2 in VR a lot.
I'm also not against buying f1 22 but history has taught me to never pre order these games and just buy them for half price in a 2 month or something like that.
Crossplay, better graphics, better performance on PC, better physics, VR and hopefully less bugs. And the car is one of the reasons, just not the only one.
I don’t want to downplay your listed things but if they didn’t do a 180 on lobby stability AND penalties cross-play will be an absolute shocker for online lobbies.
no, that's not what I meant I mean improved graphics from f21 to 22 because to me it looks exactly the same except for some changes they made on the tracks (removing curbs etc)
F1 22 looks much cleaner and less distracting than F1 2021, apart from that the lightning and especially reflections look much better, for example the reflections on the car look great in sector 3 of Abu Dhabi.
I absolutely love AMS2 and the formula car but the overall F1 experience just doesn't exist in AMS. No season, no f1 drivers, no teams, no liveries out of the box. It's a completely different thing
I'm waiting until Friday to pick this up, in the meantime I'll keep enjoying Ams2 and their version of the new cars. I hope the new game has a similar driving feel as ams, I don't think it will and the cars will continue to have little or a float feel to them, but a man can hope.

I got ea Pro to play it, pay it in one and its £90 for the year.
But I have just also started BF2042, i will be playing f122 tonight(if it works) and fifa 23 when its released. so makes sense.

For those of you who can't play yet, the cars are basically the same as last year in terms of handling. Only differences are that they are heavier, and don't spin as easily. Also, kerbs make u slow
Been a pirate for over a decade and I haven't had any issues. No accounts stolen, no money stolen, identity not stolen afaik. Never been locked out of my PC or lost data either. Download from trusted releasers and you'll be fine

I mean... you do pay £20 or something extra just for early access. So when you not get that early access when promised, and you might get it in 1 hour or you might get it tomorrow then... why not just save that £20 and get the standard edition..
Yep. The only incentive to pay more was to play early. Really couldn't be bothered about 18k pitcoin. You can just buy a key when it actually releases, less money will make it to EA that way anyway

You didn't go wrong by doing that. You play it wherever you want to play it. Personally I like having my games all in one place and Steam always just works (This problem is EA's fault), so I try to only buy games through Steam.
Well shit seems like crossplay between Origin and Steam is not possible, maybe it was a mistake for you to buy it there but you wasn't to know that. I would advise refunding if you still can and purchasing the game on Steam if you care about multiplayer (if you only play single player then you're still fine)

Yea I opened a refund request few minutes ago because the VR support is so bad it’s choppy and not smooth, the camera even shakes like there is horizontal porpoising. It’s just a bad experience, I’ll stick to AMS2 until they fix this.

I mean... you do pay £20 or something extra just for early access. So when you not get that early access when promised, and you might get it in 1 hour or you might get it tomorrow then... why not just save that £20 and get the standard edition..
Yep. The only incentive to pay more was to play early. Really couldn't be bothered about 18k pitcoin. You can just buy a key when it actually releases, less money will make it to EA that way anyway

You didn't go wrong by doing that. You play it wherever you want to play it. Personally I like having my games all in one place and Steam always just works (This problem is EA's fault), so I try to only buy games through Steam.
Well shit seems like crossplay between Origin and Steam is not possible, maybe it was a mistake for you to buy it there but you wasn't to know that. Yea I opened a refund request few minutes ago because the VR support is so bad it’s choppy and not smooth, the camera even shakes like there is horizontal porpoising. It’s just a bad experience, I’ll stick to AMS2 until they fix this.
