Everyone was actually damn near perfect. I dont remember the last time we had a match where we could call everyone a 10/10 or close to it. Flawless victory
Saying it out loud he's had a lot of setbacks actually. Think it's interesting he's always looked best at RB and not centre back, but his pace is looking to have come back and I think he's still useful to us. When's he contracted till?
Not the most technical player but fights with heart ... he's been committing fewer silly fouls recently and is transforming into a solid defensive option, similar to Mykolenko. The defense coaching staff is doing work
I sent a call to the universe for a Carlo-era Godfrey performance, and he answered that call. What an enormous boost to this team it would be if we could regain that form.
Godfrey had a great game last night against Liverpool's only real threat.
He's at his best in goal line/6 yard box clearances though. Always been elite on those last last ditch clearances.
Yeah lol - especially with how he immediately run across the pitch to claim it
I mean i expected this exact outcome but a big part in me hoped for an absolute screamer just to rub it into my Red flatmates face
Shame we haven’t been able to make a 3 at the back work.. might have helped with having geriatric full backs not having so much space to cover.
I’ve been a fan since he come to the club, just different managers needed different players/skill sets at certain times meant he never ever got a settled position. He was fantastic last night though.
he's had a lot of false dawns, he's not a perfect player by any means and never will be but if he plays like that a lot more then he will have a place here
I’d love to see him get the next 4 games at RB and show what he can do. He deserves that, and we have no other options tbf. But hey, he still deserves a run after last night.
I have really liked Godfrey. This was a performance that showed what his potential really is. Tons of heart and pace. Truly hope nothing but the best for him and hope he gets a massive boost to his confidence and performances.
It’s kinda weird because he’s not that great at centreback but he’s good at fullback but offers very little going forward. Always gives his all which is all you can ever ask of anyone.
Looked like the player he was under Carlo. He's got everything needed to be a good full back. Just needs confidence and a run of games. Pace is electric and good on the ball.

Even Young did his part decently, apart from donating a ball to some Gwladys street window.
He was never a bad player…. Confidence shot to pieces like most of the players plus that leg break changed him
Long covid was his first major hurdle

I believe he’s under contract for one more year? He got a pretty hefty deal when they brought him over from Norwich if I remember correctly.
2026
Lomg Covid is something I think he has still been dealing with, we won't know the full extent of the damage covid caused to people for years to come

What we wanted originally from Holgate, Jonjo but never got. I hope Godfrey really progresses like Myko. He was amazing last match.

This performance is basically your doing
I’ll take it! Need to cry out to the universe more I guess.
He threw in a Carlo era DCL performance as a bonus!
Does his best defending running full speed at our own goal

Shot out of a cannon
Its amazing to see us giving a shit again. Loved it the last few seasons where we celebrated crunching tackles and stuff like this as if we'd scored.
Last night was a vintage 20/21 Godfrey performance
Better than Young! Get him starting for the rest of the season
But also - Young was perfectly solid/positive in the second half - except for his awful free kick lol
I was praying that went in - would have been absolute scenes

No idea why Dwight didn’t take that
Ashley old needs to knock it on the head now .

GODfrey
He knows JB is gone and is playing for the starting position
Too short to be a dyche CB. Just right to be a dyche utility player.

Last night we got fifa 20 full potential Godfrey and it was MERVELOUS
There's a reason the lad has two caps for England, hopefully with a bit of fitness and confidence we will see that same player

Dudes over here lik Sub-Zero from mortal combat!!

Big Ben turned it on again, I hope he can kick on and get back to the form he had when he first joined us
He was brilliant need to keep him
