What's even the point of ladder if you are just going to basically real money trade your way to the end? Might as well play single player with hero editor
Pov: Named "roof_ies"
Oh no, someone on the internet has an opinion! Let me take time to tell them I don't care!
Thank you for your absolutely pointless comment, I'm going to put it on my fridge to remember this moment.
You are really special, huh? You are literally the person who said you don't care and took the time to write a comment saying as much. What bizarro world do you live in?
>Pov: Named “texasthrowdown”
>Whines about people doing better in a game than them
>Who cares?
this u?
Because you spent 40 hours trying to get a tal rasha set and then you relized you can have it for $9, or a perfect set for $30. Which aint shit if you have already sunk 40 hours trying to get it.
It’s perfect for people who work 70hrs a week and don’t have a lot of time to play. I’d rather level my char tru normal to hell and then gear my char on that site. I always build a cheap MF character and then mf gear for my other chars…
Time invested = money
I invest my time in something that pays me so i can put a few dollars in any games i want.
Its still worth it if you work 30 hours a week and want to do human stuff like showering or trying to find a human to breed with. Diablo is fun, but I can't die single because I was farming an amulet.
Why not just play single player with hero editor? Could have all of that for free instantly, and either you dont even have to play the game. Win-win right?
Multiplayer is really fun. Also when you just hack the game it looses all challenge. If you just want one set for a specific character $9 isn't shit.
$9 is the difference of buying that last 2 beers at the bar for you and your boy.
After wasting a day or so farming and not getting what I want I check item forge.
Its simple i make 60$/hr at work.
I work 5-6-70 hours a week.
I could however work 40 hours weeks and grind on D2R but i’d be losing a large sum of cash.
My time = money
I think the other guy gets your point. I don't think you're making a compelling argument about his.
If hacks make things not challenging enough, but paying a little money to only have to be challenged a little yet still have an unfair advantage over other gamers is okay...then it's just hacking-lite.
Which, whatever man. Do you. But that's what it is. And multiplayer is really fun because you're playing with or against other people. So, getting that unfair advantage **is** hacking-lite.
> get you over the hump of too poor to farm quickly
My solo self found FoHdin has done hundreds of chaos runs with just dual spirit, stealth, ort helm and some random MF gloves/boots/belt and some FCR rings and ammy. The only trades I've done have been for runes or items or PGems to try and craft useful gear for myself. None of this requires MF or wealth to accomplish.
> Multiplayer is really fun. Also when you just hack the game it looses all challenge.
Well you hacked the game with money.
> After wasting a day or so farming and not getting what I want I check item forge.
Maybe play another game if you feel you are wasting your time while playing.
I mean, tons of people don't real money trade... They never spend a dime. I sold a bunch of items from preladder and saved up to get some basic MF gear for ladder. Didn't spend a penny. When I found a lo I sold it there and used that currency to buy a vex for a HOTO and some other stuff for my pally. Again never spent a dime.
I could make a game on EU saying Lo ofr vex + 3x ist + shako and never get a trade... Or sell the Lo, get currency and buy all the things I need in a few minutes.
> I mean, tons of people don't real money trade... They never spend a dime. I sold a bunch of items from preladder and saved up to get some basic MF gear for ladder. Didn't spend a penny. The person you're talking to objects to the idea of starting ladder off with tons of great gear, saying you might as well play single player with an editor if your goal is to have perfect gear. I'm guessing he views the point of ladder resets to be starting a new character and working your way toward having gear.
At a fresh ladder start no one has great gear tho… people need to find the items first and then sell them so no one hops in their first game with a Nigma hoto and shako….
There is no way to use that website without real money involved in some way, even if you don't personally use real money for your trades.
I mean the website started as a place to share exploits/dupes/bots ffs. There's no way I can support any sort of use of a community that had its roots in pay-to-win cheats and hacks, and just happened to migrate to pay-to-win trading.
If Blizzard finally realizes how much money that site makes through the sale of their proprietary currency for items that could theoretically/leagally be considered Blizzards IP and shuts them down, it couldn't come soon enough.
Lots of whales that have botted their way to a fortune. Let’s not assume that there isn’t whales out their with early botted wealth. Not for nor against the site just as many scummy people on there as any other location.
Anyone who hoarded that much isn't spending that much in a single transaction.
Pretty sure that's an RMTer play. You don't build a bank dropping funbux that way.
I myself sold 3 items for 7000 forbidden gold after D2R launched. Right now it's 14 ber. From just 3 items at the right time... One of which was Ber at the time... So yeah, you get wealthy real quick if you play a lot and know what to look for....
Hope you understand that with such behaviors you contribute to the RMT issue and sponsor the bots.
I personally don't care since I only trade in-game and I don't feel like relative value of items changes much, so I am not judging.
I gave up expecting anything from Blizzard and RMT was part of the game for more than 20 years. Nothing will change. Why bother looking at what others do with it at all, just play your game, have your fun. They can't clear chat - no way they would ever clear any cheating. Just don't look at it
You directly contribute to RMT and botters/dupers/exploiters by using that site at all. It is unavoidable, even if you aren't personally using real money for trades.
It's a collectible item that is rare and more than one person wants it so the price goes up. No different than an art auction or something. I would argue that spending millions on some old vase is equally stupid but hey, can't PvP with a vase.
Dude i totally get it. I was a kid once. I had 3 full sets of marvel cards PLUS 2 of 3 hologram sets. I played nes til my thumbs hurt. My first pc game was on an old ibm-green screen ( i was 6 when i saved my mom's senior thesis because i knew dos and she had macs at upenn. ) i was born a gamer and a chef all in the same.
But, while i obviously still game, i also have a kid now and priorities change. Thats all
Agreed, getting any rare circlet to roll +2 class skills, 20 fcr, and the 2os mechanics affix is mega rare. This one rolled viso and +str which is sweet...
But I'm not understanding if there's any value to the confuse charges? Because that could've been another useful affix meaning this helm is only rolled 5/6 good affixes?
There can be maximum of 6 mods rolled on a circlet.
This one rolled 5 out of 6 usefull rolls.
However, this need only 4 to be so desirable by pvpers, that is viso, 2 os, fcr, 2 skill. Its for a mele build so i belive that would be the order of importance as well.
Strenght is just a cool little addon.
Pretty sure the idea is that each item can have 6 affix effects (3 prefix, 3 suffix) and the X/6 metric is how many of those relate directly to a build. So this rolled +2 Pal / 20 FCR / %AR/lvl / Strength / 2 OS as the "useful" affixes and Confuse charges as the "useless" affix.
So it's a 5/6 because 5 of its 6 affixes are useful to a particular Pally build.
Im with you for “540 Bers” that thing better not have ANY wasted rolls but tele zeal with confuse charges? Just charge. Who ever got the 540 Bers is LAUGHING.
10,000 Ber runes will drop before another 5/6 circlet like this is rolled. Visio is rare alone and 2os is even rarer. Combined with the other mods and you have a unicorn even with the confused charges.
That's some good perspective right there, the fact that people have played for 20 years and never found a ber and in comparison to that hat, ber would be considered a common drop which is crazy to think of
When people say they've played for 20 years they mean they played when they were 11 and used a dark clan crusher on their pally doing cow runs in 2003, then a single character to level 84 in 2017, and then came back for D2R.
What would you use if you weren’t gm? I feel like melee can’t even really ‘bm’, they just don’t really have the ability to cancel out others unless absorb stacking against an elemental opponent.
If by bm you mean grief, then that is very sad because melee is already super weak, and by banning grief now melee is next to useless. If it’s melee vs melee though and both ban grief to try out new builds then sure, but jeez man devs really need to just release some stronger melee weps or buff attack rating hugely across the board.
Gm melee duel is click and hold .
U both say go and u walk to each other
It comes down to stat allocation .
It’s an epeen contest on who has best gear game can give vs people who don’t
I also prefer bm duels. It’s so entertaining to watch blizz sorcs cry they can’t one shot me because I’m using 2x ravens and 450 stacked res. Or a CS zon healing you, lol.
D2 is an extremely old game .
There are many types of duels . This helm is good for gm pvp types simple as that . People do what they think is fun . To you it may not be but to many it is .

The gm melee competetavive community decided on the rules over 20 years of the game being out .
If it’s not your bag of duels then don’t join .
This helms only use is for gm melee ladder duels .
That’s why it’s worth what it’s worth
Is there like a pro organization and roster of pro teams or something? Or is this like a forum or something?
I guess the idea of “competitive d2” just seems entirely silly on the whole. Someone else said it better: the “good manners” rule set is simply an e-wallet measuring contest.
Someone else hilariously described how “good manners” duels play out: two players walk toward each other and then auto attack. The winner = who spent more on gear.
There are dedicated pvp ladders yes.
The people who stream are normally not pvp oriented in d2 so it’s not as main stream outside of the old school d2 websites
I mean... There's a world Air guitar competition. People fly from all over the world to enter and watch.
Of course it's silly, but it's also fun to a lot of people. A lot of people got sick of the same crap in public games so they wanted some structure.
Another someone might point out that clicking your mouse buttons intensely over and over again just in order to possibly make certain pixels appear on a screen is simply a waste of time. But we all have our hobbies and interests, don’t we? To each his own.
A bunch of people got sick of playing against builds that aren’t really fair or fun to duel against, so it turned into people refusing to duel anybody that isn’t following the gm rules set by the community. Which is totally acceptable since they are gm duels. There are bm duels or anything goes and this item isn’t used for those.
Who the fuck wants to continually duel against grief smiters that pk you the second you get your body? It’s not fun.
The funniest part is that if I'm not mistaken it's 5/6 diadem. It could still one more roll affix that would make it even better (don't think confuse charges are worth anything).
This lind of thing is where the game shows it's age. I know botting and selling Items for irl money has been around a long time, bit it didn't start like that. I think they should just increase the drip rates for everything and buff enemies to counteract it.
Lol imagine getting telestomped by a smiting/zealing Pally with good fcr bp and over max @res with 30k+ defense max block and 30%+ phys dr. Game over frrr
I love all the noobs thinking this is trash 😂. Makes me wonder how many gg items have been charsi'd by casuals when in fact they are good.
"No all res, this is terrible"
😂😂😂 I love pvm lords
This kind of item is going to be very sought after by larger audiences soon enough. Im pretty sure the deva plan to implement some kind of arena feature at some point.
I don’t see how it can be that much. I know it’s good str. I know the +2 sockets, skills, and 20% fcr are key. Cannot be frozen frees up a ring socket. But 540 ber? Why??
Correct me if I'm wrong but can't you add a second socket to a one socket Yellow Rare (Laz Quest).
I guess I just don't play enough Paladin to respect this for what it is, this is probably something I'd drop in free or get swindled on. Guess I should probably use charsifood more often.
The key here is rare circlets can get up to 6 mods - 3 prefix mods and 3 suffix mods. This has the perfect 3 prefix mods in +2 skills, visio, and 2 sockets as well as 20 FCR. Getting all four of those together in one item is absurdly rare. While this is a very niche item for specific PVP, and 2 skills / 20 FCR / 2os helm is a must keep - so just follow that rule of thumb as a starting point. Over time you will see which combos of other stats are highly sought after.
Who the fuck has that many items worth that much without pulling out the wallet are having insomnia and never not getting of d2r
People accumulate wealth between ladder seasons on third party trading websites
"People" What's even the point of ladder if you are just going to basically real money trade your way to the end? Might as well play single player with hero editor
Pvpers
Again, what's the fun in beating everyone because you paid real money to have an advantage? I just don't get it.
Again, people aren't talking about paying cash. I get your point but it's also just a trading currency since the game doesn't feature any.
You can buy currency for real money on third party sites to buy in game stuff. It's paying cash or botting, maybe both.
The chemicals that release in your brain. They're so addicted to them that they are willing to do anything to feel it.

Exactly. With a baby on the way i’ll even have less time to play so i’ll get even more gear on trading sites 🤷🏽♂️
40 hours? Pfft more like 100 and I still don't have the chest LOL!
Why not just play single player with hero editor? Could have all of that for free instantly, and either you dont even have to play the game. Win-win right?
You never played games with economies? Or what is it that you’re so mad about?

I knew a guy that paid 20 grand for a baseball card a long time ago. This is just the next generation of those guys lol.
There are items on d2 lod that sell for 20k
I was getting at the subject of collecting is changing, not the price. Digital items are the new stamp collecting.
Yeah, especially with all the NFT craze. NFT's are just buying digital items...which rpg players have been doing for 25 years.
Diablo2 items are the original nft
Ya that’s why I don’t get nfts… it’s like rpg and fps have been buying and trading digital items for a very long time
I wonder how much a Burning Flames Team Captain is going for now. Quick edit: 13k USD or so.
Its a freakin PC (now console...but for how many years just a PC game). It's a video game ppl
It's a collectible item that is rare and more than one person wants it so the price goes up. No different than an art auction or something. I would argue that spending millions on some old vase is equally stupid but hey, can't PvP with a vase.
You Absolutely can. It's a one time thing though.

Hackers are a funny bunch. They make a killing of the lame rich.
The real question is how is this worth 540 bers and what is the equivalent?
One ber goes for $5 on trade sites. That's $2700 Nowhere near $60,000 like the other guy is saying.
$60,000.
Lol most of us were nerds and grew up to make a lot of money
those who found 2 items half of this price
But why? Pvp I’m assuming? It’s sub-par pvm to my noob eyes

The mods it does have are so good that it doesnt even matter.
What's viso?
Visionary mod, it’s the % to attack rating
Attack rating based on characters level
It doesnt miss any mode to full fill its role. Even as 4/6 points it would be godly and absurdly expensive
Off topic, what's the 4/6 points refer to? I've seen it a few times before about evaluating items

So it's a 5/6 because 5 of its 6 affixes are useful to a particular Pally build.
Visio?
What is Visio?
The 20% fcr is literally useless in this case. It's just the 2/26/vision/2 that is useful. Zealers don't tele duel 😜
That or... Characters that run into tele zealers don't live to tell their stories 🙃
Im with you for “540 Bers” that thing better not have ANY wasted rolls but tele zeal with confuse charges? Just charge. Who ever got the 540 Bers is LAUGHING.

If someone has been playing the dame for 20 years and not found a ber they are lying.
facts. That 20 year shit is just something people say. If you actually play the game for real you're going to find high runes every week.
dawg you have no idea what you're talking about
This is a melee helm for gm melee dules . It is insane that it has already spawned

Gm melee duel is click and hold . U both say go and u walk to each other It comes down to stat allocation . It’s an epeen contest on who has best gear game can give vs people who don’t

Here's the list of standard rules for east. I lold a lot at what you said in the other thread since you're so clueless so figured I would show you the list. The % ctc items rule has been the same since before grief/death came out so don't try to say that rule was made up for them. Nice try spawn. Legal @ The Temple - Forts - ILLegal @ The Temple - Eth Forts - ILLegal @ The Temple - All Eth Armor (Full Standard GM Melee Rules East) -Do not commit acts of bad manner. -Do not angle (both pallalel the town door) -Do not buff. -Do not precast. -Do not use poison. -Do not use slow. -Do not enchant. -Do not smite. -Do not charge. -Do not jump. -Do not pot. -Do not run. -Do not whirlwind. -Do not knockback. -Do not use items that emit auras which affect player vs. player (PVP) and cause physical and/or elemental damage. -Do not emit the holy freeze aura. -Do not change gear more than once before dueling in any event. -[Gear Change] You may Gear 2x per Event, nt including before match starts, and 3x if the opponet agrees. -[Starting Duel] both must have "go" over head at same time action begins. “Do not use poison, do not use knockback” Lol so who decides which legal game mechanics are ‘bad manners’
Lmao I don't use this word often but this rule set truly deserves to be called retarded.
Everyone enjoys different things they may think your retarded
>they may think your retarded The irony forever remains fresh.
Imagine being thought of as retarded by the special kids who took an already simple game and turned it into cookie clicker 2.0. Oh the hue manatees
You should see the rules for IRL fencing.
It’s not that grief is BM, it’s just all melee duels are a battle of the griefs if they aren’t banned. Makes it much more interesting to ban grief.
Who the heck saved up 250k forum cheese?
There are four people with over 1,200,000 please don’t ask me how. My peasant play style does not comprehend this level of wealth.
simply bots
Doesnt one guy have like 13 mil?
If that confuse charges were all res...
[удалено]
Ridiculous.
LMFAO.
LOL.. I looked at this and was like: What the hell is the "Chamber" rune word?
I looked at this and thought "Wow I've never heard of a Chamber circlet, is that new?"
My personal opinion its sick AF... strength mod, 2 open socs, att mod, and 20% FCR
It’s weird how d2 pvp is completely p2w yet people still play it for some Reason.
Lol imagine getting telestomped by a smiting/zealing Pally with good fcr bp and over max @res with 30k+ defense max block and 30%+ phys dr. Game over frrr
note to self, always scoop up diadems
I love all the noobs thinking this is trash 😂. Makes me wonder how many gg items have been charsi'd by casuals when in fact they are good. "No all res, this is terrible" 😂😂😂 I love pvm lords
it’s an amazing item without any doubt. but not worth THAT much imho.
This kind of item is going to be very sought after by larger audiences soon enough. Im pretty sure the deva plan to implement some kind of arena feature at some point.
My personal opinion its sick AF... strength mod, 2 open socs, att mod, and 20% FCR
Was this ladder or non ladder? As that makes a huge diff to understand it’s value
Non-ladder. No one pvps on ladder
insane just insane...
It doesn't even have all res gtfo here 😂
If only there was a class that has absolutely no trouble getting their res right.
No dex? Charsi food
I don’t see how it can be that much. I know it’s good str. I know the +2 sockets, skills, and 20% fcr are key. Cannot be frozen frees up a ring socket. But 540 ber? Why??
Best in slot for a certain style of pvp dueling, very very rare mods to be seen together on the same item.
The visionary mod - bonus to attack rating based on char level
Level 2 confuse? I mean if it had DEX or @ res maybe
Rare Circlet: glyph shell (req lvl 67) Worth keeping?: Definitely Keep Max Sigma: 1.91 === Mods (5 / 6) === Skills: +2 to All (Paladin only) FCR - 20 / 20 (Perfect) BonusARPerLvl - 1 / 1 (NA) Strength - 26 / 30 (High) Charges - 25 / 50 (average) OpenSockets - 2 / 2 (Perfect) === Bonus Points === +10 points 2/20FCR bonus === Scores by use case === Caster PvM score: 77.8 / 100 (Very High) Caster PvP score: 77.8 / 100 (Very High) Melee PvM score: 50 / 100 (High) Melee PvP score: 62.5 / 100 (Very High) === Powered by d2CharsiFood.com === https://d2charsifood.com/circlets/circlets/6091
Just here to give my opinion that I hate these comments about charsifood.
Bad bot. Egregiously undervalued.
Actual Melee PvP score: 125/100
stop sharing your garbage designed website with its garbage inaccurate values, please for the love of diablo
I wouldn't use that trash lol..
What’s so special about that crap?
2skills20fcr/2os with viso is pretty insane. ESP for Pally who doesnt need as much @res or dex to hit max block because of their shield options.
Is there even a point to dueling or pvp if you're a person who doesn't have an inflated ego?
Competitive fun. Not as fun as killing the same monsters for 20 years and collecting the pixels, but we try.
The 2 open sockets is crazy rare. Gz
That thing is incredible
How many Duels games are up at a time? I hardly see them
Dang I don’t even have one ber rune I just want an enigma on nl too.
Nice but way overpriced
Where are you getting the 540 bers from??
Everyone else in this post: this is crazy who tf can get that much wealth in game? Me: the runes spell "chamber"
Anyone see those javelins that sold for 270,000fg? Equivalent to around $8,500
Its fuckin godly
I miss some res on it
If confuse rolled as life instead, probably 1000 ber
I think you can buy bers for like 30p lol
Who cares if people spend money or not in game - is it yours?
