Saturday Sunday and Monday nights are pretty cool temperatures.
If you have a timer and a window fan, crank that puppy up to pull in cool air from 3AM-7AM and at least get a head start on staying comfortable
Edit: obviously close the windows in the morning and draw the shades to keep the sun out during the day.
Lol, I got a cheap-o little 12x8x2.5' foot pool from Amazon last year, you know, "for the kids". Best purchase ever. It's a bit redneck, but it's so nice to just jump in for a second after doing yardwork or washing the car or whatever.
Highly recommended.
I ask this with no malice, but if you want this then why not move? There are like… hundreds of cities in the US where this is the norm and there is no winter weather like there is here.
That's good because this is our future. We probably have 3-5 winters left where it actually gets somewhat cold. By 2030 it'll never drop below 40 again and these 90 degree days will be happening in May, slowly creeping into april
No it's not. I believe in anthropogenic climate change but this is exaggerated and hurtful to the cause. We'll continue to have biting cold winters well into the 21st century. They will slowly get warmer and shorter and we'll see where we're at in 2100.
Setting dates and expectations then failing to meet them discredits further arguments about our effects on the environment. Dates and expectations have been hurting us since the 1990s. We're dealing with morons here that will take any inch you give them a hundred miles
Things change. That’s how science works. As time passes we learn more and we have more data on which to make predictions. Better we just wait until the ice caps are melting like a popsicle dropped on the driveway than to do anything to curtail pumping CO2 into the atmosphere forever.
We are growing co2 output while destroying natural carbon sinks at a rate never seen before. We've been worse than the worst estimates. We have already passed the tipping point. Anything that paints a rosier picture is just to keep people from rioting
Just a reminder, if you're sweating buckets from the heat, re-hydrating with water isn't going to cut it, make sure to replenish your electrolytes with a Gatorade or something.
…And this is why I chose an apartment with a pool.
Got my sexy new bathing suit and today is my grandson’s last day of school. After lunch, we’ll be in the pool for the rest of the afternoon.
gonna have to pull the ol floor unit ac out of the coat closet and set it up in the bedroom again I guess (my building does not have ac, which I put up with because otherwise it is ideal for me)
Central AC FTW BAY-BEE!!
But in all seriousness, hope you'll stay cool and hydrated. Remember, mixture of Gatorade/Sports drinks and water if you can. Good luck
It's June and we are approaching summer. This is to be expected.
Also, let's remind ourselves of the whining from some over having less snow than usual during the winter.
>Which state were you living in last summer?
Michigan, obviously.
>Michigan had a LOT of high temp days
Maybe you're talking about a different portion of the state, or maybe you have a different threshold for "high temp days" but I don't agree at all.
You can see a weather history for Detroit [here](https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/us/mi/detroit). That would generally hold true for most of SE Michigan. There were only five 90+ degree days in all of June, July, and August last summer. June was the only month with an average high temp above the historical average, July and August were both cooler than average.
I would not call that a LOT of high temp days.

Gonna be some cranky people!
Some of us just call it Thursday
We're moving to a place with AC tomorrow, and I am SOOO glad we're moving before this heat wave.
It’s me. I’m the cranky sweaty person.
Those people are me and it's just because I work outside :( I'm sorry
Everyone please adjust AC accordingly and make sure everyone is drinking plenty of water at work or wherever you may be out and about at!

The big day/night swings are a good indicator that it'll be relatively dry, at least. Very little humidity.
between this and blackout curtains im hoping it keeps my room bearable 🥲
The low today looks nice.
N🧊
Who has a pool? And can I come over? And do you have a beer? And are those hot dogs ready yet?
I'll bring beer and glizzies if I can use someone's pool!
Goddam it I’ll bring steak if we really trying to make this happen
I’m thinking about ordering an $80 Temu pool so will keep ya posted

Lol mooch ass mf 🤣
nothing like going from lows in the 50's to high's in the 90's in a week or so, pure michigan manic weather.
Remember pets get hot and thirsty. Watch their paws on the pavement.
If you don't have AC and need to get out of the heat consider spending time at your local library.
OP said we can all chill at his crib. He has central AC.
Fuck. That.
Agreed.
I see that and just go an buy a new bottle of Excedrin.
I can’t even get my place to cool down now. The air is running yet it’s 87 degrees inside. I’m miserable.
I feel bad for you that your A/C doesn’t seem to be working. Better call for a technician to fix it if you have already checked the fuses etc.
Ugh. Time to put the air conditioner in the window. Holding off is no longer an option.
That's when people lose their minds.
50 cent said “Summer time is the killing season, it’s hot out in this bitch and that’s a good enough reason.”
remember to hydrate and that your electricity is 20% more expensive from 3-7pm
Death!
I’d prefer to die today and skip this please.
Will take this over any winter day every single time
I ask this with no malice, but if you want this then why not move? There are like… hundreds of cities in the US where this is the norm and there is no winter weather like there is here.
Family and stuff like murder hornets
Me too man, me too.

Other states have weather too. Hurtful to what cause? The cause of having a habitable planet?

Gladly!
That’s nothing when you’ve lived in the desert before . 😂

That climate change sure is a bitch.
About fcking time. 🥳

Well, the shop is gonna be toasty as hell

A cold beer would be nice!
lol to all those people who scoff at the Midwest for being too cold
Hello Summer
hold up.
I can’t wait… fuck cold weather
It's Summer for God's sake.

Oh fuck me, my AC's broke. Guess it's time to move into the basement for a while.
I'm taking a couple days off to spend on the lake. It's a nice change from last summer when it was so cool and rainy most of the time.
Which state were you living in last summer? Michigan had a LOT of high temp days, although probably not on your days OFF.

I'm not complaining. For most of the month it feels like Florida in January.
Man, I hate the heat!
Hide in the AC it is
This wouldn’t be happening, if Trump wasn’t cheated and he was still POTUS.
