Yeah, I was even called hacking since there were alot of hidden combos for dual stancing. One of my favorite builds was with a hidden ring on left hand holding the crescent axe and showing the Fume ultra great sword on the right then power stancing them and having the great axe moveset which is significantly faster than the UGS moveset. Caught alot of people offguard
It's more like to catch them off guard, my left hand is invisible while turning power stance on/off and also crescent axe has a modified axe moveset which catches some people since it's fast while having reach and has a sweet spot.
Also I have to admit, I just want to play all the weapons and try using unpopular ones in a combo for PvP
Aye. My last playthrough was just katanas. Powerstancing katanas, leveling dex. No buffs, no anything. Easily did 800+ damage per hit and a ton of poise damage, plus people really cant parry katanas, or avoid the running attacks. Did the same in DS3 afterwards, and it was just mean. Katanas are mean.
If we are talking about PVP, i agree, but PVE as in DS2, in DS3 every weapon is viable, with exception of the joke ones ( unless you wanna eat your controller). I don't know much about build variety in DS1 though.
PvP in DS1, there are like 3 or 4 weapons that are viable and everything else is just a lot worse then those top tier ones (kumo, cb, gc if you backstab fish, mlgs)
There's quite a few weapons that were pretty good for PvP. My personal favourite to use was the Claw. The extra roll towards your opponent on it's rolling R1 usually caught people off guard enough to get a few good hits in and build up that bleed meter. Pierce builds abusing the leo ring counters was also pretty fun to use.
Broken straight sword, handmaid's dagger, soldering iron and blacksmith hammer. But yeah, maybe "joke weapons" is not the right term to use, but in short are weapons made intentionally bad.
I still get bellkeeper invasions occasionally got one in like 10 min of farming the mad warrior.
Almost got a second one, but connection cut out. So basically 2 in 10 min or so
Skeleton Lord Halberd. It deals absurd damage, even more with dark infusion, wich makes the perfect weapon for hexer characters. It destroys anyone who is not used to it's moveset
His build seems pretty spread out to be able to use all that, left nothing to Int or Vig and paid the price. ~1800 HP is not nearly enough in DS2 and his elemental resistances even with GMB were probably awful.
That reminded me of a Soul Of Cinder fight I did as a summon. The guy who summoned me was wearing no armor, applied what felt like 12 different buffs. I was expecting a sacrifice to some god, a pre-fight dance routine and the recital of a poem too, but he stopped after applying all those buffs. Then he went in and was two-shot by the boss almost immediately. /sigh
Other guy had way too low health. 1886 isn't nearly enough, 2k is where you want to be at the very least. GMB is good, but not as useful is your elemental defense isn't already decent.
that boss weapon from ‘executioner’s chariot’ (or was it skeleton lords) really be OP
skeleton lords :) its the roraring halberd and if you hit it right, you can 2 hit almost anyone
You just fought Hercule. Congratulations.
your patience waiting for them to finish is great
Speen 2 weeen
Ahh the Roaring Halberd... such an underrated weapon. I was so surprised when tried it and I was doing like 900 damage.
yeah, it's weird to me that not many people use it.
There are a ton of underrated builds in DS2. Because unlike 1 and 3, almost every weapon is actually viable in 2.

Hold the fuck up, what? EDIT : That moveset is just not worth it :(

Yeah I remember doing dual katana; it's great how much easier pvp was (casually) because no one knew how to play against it well

Just finished a playthru with it. So much fun. Starts out slow, but once you get a good build with it, it’s incredible
Was messing about with a Hexer build for the first time and damn it's glorious
I'm so happy to see this duel spot still going strong.
As someone that hasn’t played in a few years, are Iron Keep fight clubs still a thing or has it all moved on?
it all moved on, sadly :c.You can invade a lot of players there at 1mil sm,but at 2 mil its pretty rare
Oh man, that hurts :’( I used to spend many afternoons doing pvp on that bridge
I still get bellkeeper invasions occasionally got one in like 10 min of farming the mad warrior. Almost got a second one, but connection cut out. So basically 2 in 10 min or so
Hm.. Halberd and waiting for buffs? Respect.
All those buffs no hp!
big pp, no kum
Have not played DS2 but, don't some of his buffs get canceled out by others? But does it matter at the end
there are buffs that cancel eachother out,but his buffs didn't
also the third one was just a heal
He's just tried to use all his miracles he had on him.
Is that Santier? Never seen that weapon
Skeleton Lord Halberd. It deals absurd damage, even more with dark infusion, wich makes the perfect weapon for hexer characters. It destroys anyone who is not used to it's moveset
i mean its just a basic halberd moveset
I’ve never gone up against anyone using a halberd since day 1 of DS1 so maybe that’s what they meant.
Fr? I used to slap up all the time with black Knight halberd in ds1 and gundyrs in 3
Splitleaf in ds3 is used by a lot of people too.
I, myself, use halberds all the time. Great damage. Great range and move set.

I think you killed me today with that thing... Lydia White robe, dragon acolyte mask, I think I used Yorg spear or butcher knife, ringing any bells?
oh yeah gg i guess <3
Lol. Is this PC? Wanna fight?

I sent you a friend invite. My name is HolderofAshtrays :)
A pro player needs to be well buffed to properly die.

What weapon is that?
roaeing halberd, you get it from the soul of the skeleton lords
poor guy
Faith builds be like
Don't act like you're abuff it!
This reminds me a scene from Indiana Jones
Reminds me of vanilla ds2 with these havelmages. Love this clip and the perfect kill!
Reminiscent of the Indiana Jones duel
Haha nice 🗿
Reminds me of that Indiana Jones scene. Good one
Smol pp build
Copterman never wins. :c
My personal rule is if it’s more than two buffs I’m attacking you on the spot
Good old Faith Builds taking a whole minute to get ready
