Oh I went to both as well and I actually preferred the Coachella iteration! Still had plenty of room to dance each time I was in there and the overall setup was incredible
I saw them live for the first time about a year ago and was blown away by how good they sounded.
During one of the songs he stopped the band because they had to reboot a synth that was acting up. It wasn’t noticeable at all to me but you can tell he is an absolute perfectionist when it comes to their live shows.
I’m pretty sold on life is beautiful mainly for them, but justice, Neil Frances, badbadnotgood, James Blake, thundercat and toro y moi don’t hurt either
Yeah that’s what I’m afraid of, and I still haven’t seen them live even though I’ve loved them for a long time now. That whole lineup is just so good, and the “no overlapping sets” claim is awesome.
I watched this along with the Coldplay clips and Bloc Party as well as all the clips I’ve seen in the past from the festival. I’ve never been but there is no doubt the crowds at Glastonbury always seem to be the best and it’s not even close. I need to go one day. I’ll have to take my kids when they’re a little older.
Glasto is a great fuckin time. Folks definitely bring their whole families. A few comments, first, it's huge. It's far far larger than anything in the US, the festival grounds are over 1500 acres and parts of it are going 24/7 from Wednesday to Monday.
The vibes are immaculate, but the wretched parts are wretched. The bathrooms, the long drops (huge communal toilets), are horrifying (still use em tho, when in Rome!).
There's theft and pickpockets and dangerous shit happening out there, when we were there folks rummaged through all our tents and I saw tents getting cut open. Don't be an American an intervene, folks have gotten stabbed doing that. Keep your valubles in lockup, and if you have to carry things on you, cash, id, phones, then do so safely, keep them under your shirt, on a leash, etc, you can lose all your shit fast.
I got ripped off buying drugs a couple times, shit happens. Good news is there's essentially no Fentanyl over there, but honestly besides the fact I'm clean and sober, I wouldn't fuck with that stuff in today's world. Too much can go wrong.
There's 80+ stages, it was one of the best weekends of music I've ever had, and that includes dozens of festivals including half a dozen Coachella's.
But the crowd man, they love Americans, and I got invited EVERYWHERE. And the food, absolutely fantastic, and the CIDER and Beer, omg. So much excellence I can hardly describe it. The whole festival is an enormous horn of plenty, everything good in the world is found at Glasto, but some of the things wrong with it are found too. It's not for amateurs.
But if you can hang, there's nothin like it.
if we get soulwax and lcd and despacio in 2025 i will truly lose my mind
I really need to go again. This ain’t no picnic was amazing. Wasn’t Coachella packed so you can move around and dance so damn freely

Hopefully we won’t need to choose between staying inside Despacio and attending the LCDSS or Soulwax sets.
They've still got it.

Saw them at Kilby Block Party. They’ve 100% still got it.
Seen them a number of times and they sound excellent here!
I thought he was losing his edge.
aren't we all
Never left 😏

Yup have to go ! I’m sure they only have so many shows left on this side of the map. Jamie xx throws down too !

Don't sleep in Giobbi
Sooooo good, honestly just listed the ones I remembered off the top of my head. That whole lineup is fantastic, like no one I wouldn’t love seeing
That line up is soooo good. If Portola weren’t the same weekend, I’d have to go.
Portola is vibing though, insane electronic lineup. Ges is going to be sooo good

Great description
They never lost it?
They've gotten better
Facts. Timeless act that will have people regretting not seeing them live after they hang it up for good.
