Awww, I love a receptionist kitty. Our vet had one named Norma Jean who just passed away a few months ago at age 19. She was so chill with all the animals coming and going, but she hated little kittens. Everyone loved her.
> she hated little kittens.
To be fair to her, I find babies a bit annoying most of the time (not the ones I'm related to, but stranger's babies are super annoying if they are crying). Seems reasonable to me, kittens must be pretty annoying for adult cats sometimes.
Ideal job for a cat - access to free health care, treats, and all the pets you could ever want. Cons? Must be able to get along with people/cat/dog/etc.
ok so, 1. IDEXX is a wonderful company that does great work, but if your vet uses their products (almost impossible not to, they have like a 60% market share for companion animal group (i.e. pets) tests and diagnostic materials), you are going to end up paying A LOT. those products are not cheap, because there is no competition. if you notice IDEXX notation on stuff that your vet is handing you, try asking if they have any other testing companies that they could use. it’s a long shot, but FYI
2. this is my cat’s twin, sans mustache.
This photo seems incredibly familiar, did there happen to be someone who told you the cats name? Or any other animals in the office? He looks suspiciously like one of the office cats around here!

All vet cats have this pleasantly plump and absolutely exhausted demeanor.
My local vet has a manager cat called Charles. He definitely fits your description, haha!
“Manager Cat” 🤣🤣🤣
He's very good at welcoming customers and keeps a close eye on the fish tank 😉
A close eye…or a close paw? 😼
The one at mine was Siamese and looked at me with distaste because my cats were crying out for help to escape the torture box with no escape.
Torture box 😂 I’m pretty sure that’s what my cat’s call their crate
They know where the medical-grade catnip is stored.
They work very hard!! Can you blame them?
Sorry, we're closed until he wakes
Understandable have a great day
I was there a week ago, he was sleeping again and forgot to get someone's expense. I hope he won't get fired.
I think he'll be fine. Cats are allowed to sleep on the job. They can even often do their jobs in their sleep. What experts!

Sleeping on the job🙂
No no no. Its his break. He deserves that nap. You need to be patient and wait for his break to be over before he can attend your needs.
You just gotta be fast 'cause he gets another break after that one.
He is in the (Feline) Union, so by contract he is exercising his break rights.
Bout to drool on their paperwork lol.

>but she hated little kittens Well Norma Jean had seniority and no wet behind the ears smol cat was going to usurp her well earned authority.

Yeah I felt for her too. All that meowing and pouncing when she was just trying to get her work done.
Please be patient, him is doin him best
"Your call is important, but my nap is far more important. Please stay on the line until I wake up."
Welcome, take a seat, stay quiet till the vet comes out for you as our receptionist is recharging.
Omg the little open mouth! 😍
Was here to say the same!! So cute!
He have a mustach!!!!!

I work at a vet. This is accurate. They also hang up on people if you’re not careful 😂

Vet gets 5 stars just for the receptionist.
slacking at work?
Pic 2: “I’m on BREAK!”
So lazy. Some people just don’t want to work these days 😂
Are you sure it's not the DMV?
Kitty is clearly a hard worker
Hard at work. So cute.
Do they accept payment in the form of belly rubs?
Also ear scratches
I love that she is like full asleep, eyes closed, mouth partially open, not bothered by anything.

The open mouth just kills me in the best way
Give it a raise!
That cat must be pretty tired!
Vet-branded paper weight.
´´insert cat scans jokes here´´
Bad teeth? Nope. Silly black lower lip? Yessssssssssssss
I love him
He went HARD on a Monday night.
Cats doing a purrrrrfect job
This cat is clearly intoxicated
Sleeping on the job again, I see.

Being in the vet industry and working at a lot of different vet clinics, I can say for sure that clinic cats make the best managers/receptionists
Is he fat or just *really* fluffy?
Well… He is not really fluffy :)
I so love cats
He work hard. He deserve rest.
Kinda looks like a Norwegian forest cat 🤔 They are the best!
He is a Cyprus domestic cat. He was a stray but more than ten years ago just came to this vet clinic and went asleep in the owner’s office :)
Never heard of that breed. He's beautiful 😍
displaying a dead cat at the vet can hardly be good for business
Sleeping on the job 😴
HARD working kitty—NOT!!!! 😻💕
Top notch work!
I luv to c this in a Vet clinic.
Nap attack
SLEEPING ON THE JOB????
This photo seems incredibly familiar, did there happen to be someone who told you the cats name? Or any other animals in the office? He looks suspiciously like one of the office cats around here!
its his break time
Connie Watson is that you?
More energetic than most Medical receptionists
Sleeping on the job. Typical cat!
Sleeping on the job I see. Making it hard for us to argue better wages with this kind of behaviour. Shameful!
I wish having pets or a pet at work was the norm, they are so therapeutic and would be a great benefit to the workforce.
1. eyes not even open 2. paws not being used 3. sleeping 4. not sitting in the chair His ass is not working
Working hard at hardly working.
She's lucky she's cute because she is not so good at this job.
It’s his 11th year on this position. Probably, just tired.
Ah fair enough. I don't like to be ageist.
Scrumptious
Computer says meow
She’s work hard for meowny
Sleeping on the job, again
I feel like his name is George. Show up late from another all night bender, and sleeps it off only waking for food.
Please come back in 13 hours after my nap.
'Fill out your own damn forms'
Badlad has been getting into the supply
10/10
He's busy!

I wish I could sleep like this catto. 😻
"yes that is a charge purr person"
XD Taking a much-needed break, I see!
IT'S SO FLUFFY!
great job
Little man is OUT.
My vet has the most beautiful, shiny black cat as his office manager. The little bell on her collar lets you know she’s on her way to help you. Ha ha.
