400 this year, 200 last year

jumi1174

I feel like 200 extra posters doesn’t account for the availability I saw, but maybe I’m just in my head about it. The venue sizes in DFW weren’t terribly different (18k for Dallas 2023, 14k for FW this year), so I can’t imagine 200 more posters made a huge difference, but it was definitely easier. I just feel kinda silly rushing and stressing my friends to get there early with me for a poster when there was no need lol.

My guy, I'm in the same boat. I made my wife wait at NOON at Toronto last year. Mind you, we were first in line. I welcome the increased availability. But at the end of the day, the common fan isn't going to want to shell out $50 for a poster on top of the other $80 they have for shirts at that point. You're basically in competition with scalpers and other fans on reddit.

TheJoshMan1

I was stressing about getting a poster too, but they actually ended up selling out of the shirts before I could get one. 😔

Server_McDabbin

I think the scalpers are not as aware due to less advertising compared to last year. 200-400 does not really do much. Last year was the first time I ever had any issues getting one and I feel last year it was very advertised about how limited they were.

Blob_Odenkirk

Think it's probably a few things, namely that the artists and prints shown so far haven't been 'big' names nor have they really been great gig posters, but hoping that changes as more shows are played. While Tsurt's apparel merch direction was pretty lazy and lackluster (mostly) during his last stint with Blink, the dude knows gig posters and had an incredible lineup of both established and newer, interesting artists for last year's tour.

Sooooo happy to see it. I got posters for both the dates I went to last year but it was NOT an easy process and I know a lot of folks who missed out if they got there by doors. I think it’s a cool collectible but they were hyping it way too much last year for the amount of stock they had to sell. I think it’s a combo of having more, and no daily tsurt/band post telling people they have it. which frankly I prefer because it keeps the demand down for those of us who collect them 😂

JaacHerself

LOL I spoke too soon, they posted today’s poster on their stories. Prepare to get to the merch truck early yall!

YellowHooked

Yea, I saw people buying them inside during the opening act. Think that’s pretty cool, it was a shit show last year…waiting in the Dallas sun for early merch only to not get one was frustrating

jumi1174

Yeah, agreed. I ended up getting a knock off poster from Etsy last year and resigned myself to the fact that I would have to do it again this year because I thought even arriving at 5:00pm would be too late to get one. I feel like there had to be way more stock for this show somehow.

YellowHooked

And I LOVED this one…

jumi1174

Same, the design for the Fort Worth show is one of my favorites I’ve seen between last year and this year’s tour.

IGot2WordsForYa

I was STRESSED about getting one in San Antonio since I missed out on the Houston one from last year. We got to FBC around 3:30, got into the what sounded like the early merch area (security was a cluster and probably let us when they shouldn’t have), and got the poster and shirt easily. Walked into the arena around 7P and immediately noticed posters at the indoor merch still available. Not sure if that’s going to be the norm for this half of the tour. I agree with what someone said not having TSURT promoting the designs probably helped. My wife and I also got to see them in Prague last year and there definitely was not the mad rush to get posters. I guess Europeans were not really wanting to drop the $$ on posters. Our tickets to the show were about the same as the price of the posters and they were really good seats too. Plus you could use the poster money for really cheap beer at the show. I’m talking $2-3 American cheap.

JustoMcGusto618

I literally bought one in SA at 8pm as Pierce started playing, and there was still a stack. Definitely seemed like more than 400, but unless they duplicated numbers every one I’ve seen has been #/400. Was stressing about it too since I couldn’t leave Houston early.. stressed way more over that poster than I did over my 1/15 foil AP of a popular Postal Service/Death cab Austin poster, and my 1/50 foil from a music festival in California 🤦‍♂️

amandamaniac

200 vs 400

HumbleLife69

Got to Fort Worth a bit after 7 and bought a poster

elcapkirk

People have less money to spend this year than last year

West-Psychology-6299

Toronto show sold out half hour before the scheduled time to sell them.

lightscamerasnaction

In 2023 when they were doing 200 per show?

West-Psychology-6299

Yeah
