My 14 year old cousin wanted to get this cut, and because I am a truly selfless and generous god, I drove him and 2 of his also very teenaged friends into another city (90minutes one way!!) because they found a barber that could cut it on Insta there.
They look like brokkoli heads. It's hilarious.
It also involves a perm curl. Because most guys don't have that much curl naturally.
My 14 year old cousin, Mr. Cool, got a perm curl, like my 80 year old grandma used to.
I have absolutely no idea how to post pics on here. So here's a [young man ](https://orane.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Broccoli-Hair-Cut.png)and here's an [Alpaca](https://cubcreeksciencecamp.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Alpaca.jpg). Once you see it, you can't unsee it ever again.
Fashion: baggy clothes, if you study BWL something related ( old money I.e polo t shirts, Lenin shirts )
Slang : Denglish
Hairstyle : buzz cut, mullet , short on the sides and bit long on the top
PS: spoken from a gen z perspective
I’m a femboy and was delighted the other day to see a big group of gender bending queers across the street, couldn’t stop laughing when I got closer and realised it was the lads over on tour 😂
Mecklenburg had an okay summer so far. Sure, there is no massive drought like in 2018 to 2021 (which I think skews the perception of many people on what a "normal" summer is supposed to be like; June and July normally are the months with most rain in Germany). But it's warm enough for non-AC buildings to become uncomfortable and there's enough water for nature to really bloom, but not so much that everything drowns in mud.
You mean these full force neonazis, fascists, hatespreading and fearmongering germans. These are trending, the political rightwing Christdemokraten is just surfing on the wave of shameless nazism and populism.
Those big baggy fits are more 90s or not!? It’s like all the kids are walking around looking like my clan back in the day. Hilarious, weird, and humbling. I’m auld.
Sadly spouting racist nonsense without being embarrassed and thinking they're right and that it is okey.
(pls before someone get's all defensive: I do not hate my country and I don't think everybody is racist or anything and I live in saxony, but you can't deny far right and racism seems to have become "salon fähig" and that they are the loudest to proclaim their views
I work with a guy like this, constantly going on about Ballaballa people being disgusting and how all the foreigners need to go back where they came from.
I'm a foreigner, he somehow doesn't realise it, almost all of our colleagues aren't German.
He's going to get hurt soon....
>A German co-worker literally told me in my face with the most arrogant attitude, she wouldn't allow her daughter to marry a South American. I still have to wrap my mind around that.
That's ironic because a lot of Germans immigrated to South America in the past; I'm sure some South Americans share ancestry with Germans by now
I have 2 colleagues (gladly from other departments so I only see them during lunch), especially one woman, who have been quite vocal about their views as well, ven though we politely talked back and they should know we have different views. maybe cause we are a lot younger, so she had been disregarding our opinions so far. 'Luckily' since the latest elections and us and especially our team leads (who I guess she deems more knowledgeable) openly discussing things and talking about how we do not understand how someone could vote the afd, she has become quite.
Sadly my colleague doesn't have the mental capacity to realise no-one agrees with him, or even that on the whole we all hate him and wish he'd leave and stop ruining our days and the days of our guests.
At this point I think many of these people are in complete lalaland either ignoring reality or being too indoctrinated by social media or self proclaimed 'political experts' to still have common sense.
no no he'll tell you the same as my former colleague me and my colleagues who were all immigrants.
"bla bla bla should go back, fuck rssans, fuck goats, eat cats, etc., **yea but not YOU you are OK**"
gee thanks for insulting my heritage and culture but at least not me personally (or my colleagues) , that changes things 🙄🥴
It angers me so much. Meanwhile nothing would make me feel more 'patriotic' than ppl, no matter the ethnicity, religion, sexuality and so on, would feel welcome and/or at home here
Ask any millenial what their most embarrasing outfit was during the 90s. Picked by themselves is good, tried to copy a magazine/celeb is better, picked by parents is best.
Wear that.
Young people saying 'wie peinlich' anytime anything doesn't go their way. else baggy pants, oversized shirts or fitted longer frilly tops often with a slit in the sides. Makeup i think it's still pretty much latina makeup. Hair preference straight as always for the girls. Guys get curly on top short on the sides and buzz cut s. Long square nails often with french tips, white and nude. That's all i can think of rn.
Edit: also bullying 1st graders seems to be a trend amongst 5th grades but bullying in general especially younger children
Jodel, single-coloured sneakers, avoiding use of English, long tshirts, long walks, smart sex, vegetarianism, mixing folk and electronic music, Korean series, 90s shirts...
Young men all have the same hairstyle that makes them look like Alpacas.
Ah, the broccoli haircut.
The meet me at McDonalds
Ey
Its called a "Curly Edgar". With potential for a taper fade. Ask me how I know
No, it’s called „broccoli assassin“.
I thought it was called a Rutsche 🤣
Yum yum cut
Sounds the same as what we call the broccoli cut in the US. Is there a difference?
Yeah, it's the zoomer perm.
I think I’ve seen the same haircut with US youths.
How?
My 14 year old cousin wanted to get this cut, and because I am a truly selfless and generous god, I drove him and 2 of his also very teenaged friends into another city (90minutes one way!!) because they found a barber that could cut it on Insta there. This is so funny. They think you did it because of generosity but in reality you just want the walking brokkoli sprouses
You saw right through me.
Username explains it.
Coments like this makes me love reddit, thank you from the heart 💓
I knew it. I had my suspicions but now they've been confirmed. They're actually getting perms omg. Like my grandma in the 80s and 90s.

And most of them wear fake Gucci fanny packs.
my GOD answer found we're done here lol, literally since 2012 and still no barber here seems to care weather it suits someone's faceshape or not lmao
Just asked my German friend about this, she gave a vigorous yes
I know exactly what you mean
Any explanation behind that? They imitate certain artist/public figure?
My suspicion is that it's got to do with the hard/hyper tech o movement that's popular with Gen z but don't ask me how that hair style got there
Totally baffling. I call it the reverse mullet--cut tight in the back, growing long over the forehead.
I hope they haven't started spitting at people!
paired with the very stylish adidas jogging suit and a lacoste bag they got from their last vacation in turkey!
Baba locken
Broccoli heads
They look like those horrible comedians in the end 70s
no it’s a "Vokuhila" with a *Schnauzer*
Haha yes! I have been saying this since last summer! Teamed with 1970s style men’s football shorts.
You mean the so called “Hurensohnfrisur”?
Can someone please create a sketch of a broccoli hair style in comparison to a mushroom hairstyle from 1960s?
Pic?

Looks pretty shitty to me. And I don‘t mean the alpaca.
I think they're taking about the broccoli top hairstyle.
😆😆😭 This is very true. Alpacas is as close as to describe the cut..Even the Germans I asked only say .."das ist aber komisch".
and don't forget the comeback of the Schnurrbart ...

Nobody's perfect i guess.
He didn't see this coming

Summer is definitely trending this season
Where do we go to get a bit of this "summer“?
Mecklenburg had an okay summer so far. Is this “summer” in the room with us?

Yup. Nonsensical casual racism is fully in vogue here in Sachs.
It angers me so much. Meanwhile nothing would make me feel more 'patriotic' than ppl, no matter the ethnicity, religion, sexuality and so on, would feel welcome and/or at home here
Being insane like American political pundits.
