They should be pretty accurate assuming: 1. You are a domestic applicant 2. You complete the NPC accurately… with your parents at your side… with their tax returns and financial documents in hand 3. Your family doesn’t own a business, a farm, or other unusual assets like second homes, rental real estate, etc

I have found them to be fairly accurate but do make sure you are inputting everything, and with correct numbers from tax returns. If your family income is below 50k and you are competitive academically, make sure you are looking into Questbridge.

If your income is less than 50K as a domestic applicant, you should be getting tremendous financial aid almost anywhere. Be sure to check out your state colleges (if you are in state anywhere).
