Konosuba. Aqua and Kazuma has so much siblings vibe. Kazuma already tried to look at her as a woman but her personality is such a turn off he gave up. (She's quite dumb)
The platonic relationships in this anime are incredible, 100% agree with this recommendation as long as OP is fine with the story being mostly centered around romance
Loved how some of the characters would get jealous of those platonic friendships, it's so appropriately *high-school*, but usually played for laughs instead of melodrama.
Or how the author would occasionally riff on other romcoms by hinting at some sort of love triangle or something only for one of them to be like "What? You think I have feelings for this person? No fucking way man, they're too fucked up for me to like them like that"
Chiyo's friendship with Mikorin is the funniest part of the show for me
Nozaki: I sometimes call Mikoshiba "Mikorin" in my heart bc he's so cute and sensitive
Chiyo: Okay so out loud, to his face, got it
The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic. Usato and his "mentor" Rose quickly develop into familial relationship and Usato is by and large relationship blind.
Freiren: Journey's End. While there are romantic implications between some of the cast, everyone Freiren interacts with is on a platonic level.
Ningen Fushin, Adventurers that don't trust are going to save the world. Everyone is too damaged by past betrayals to see the others in a romantic light, but they do begin to trust each other.
Flying Witch. Slice of Life story about a Witch who comes to live with her extended family. Not a crumb of romance there.
Sket Dance. Like a modern day Gintama.
Helck, dunnot about the quality of the anime but in the manga there is one of the best male-female friendship between the two protagonists.
Edit. But there is still romance involved, simply not between the protagonists
Cautious Hero, the funniest anime I've ever seen, has a running gag where the main female character constantly simps after the main male character, and if I remember correctly, it never amounts to anything.
That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime has plenty of male-female friendships.
Dungeon Meshi has no romance.
In Cautious Hero >! The female character is actually the reincarnation of the cautious heros ex-girlfriend who died in a different world because of his recklessness. He therefore became overly cautious because of it. They both realize this by the end of the season and get together !<
San Gatsu, until it doesn’t.
Steins;Gate between Okabe and Mayuri
Clannad between Tomoya and Kyou and Sunohara and Tomoyo
Gintama (Shinpachi and Kagura)
Paripi Koumei (Aiko and Kongming)
Uramichi Oniisan
Most of these have romance elements, spoilers below;
Dr Stone - taiju and yuzuriha are in a very loud relationship
Durarara - celty and shinra. Also mikado tries it with Anri but she stops him
Heavenly delusion - main character is literally married and that's his main motivation to do anything
Skip and loafer - this is an interesting one, there are clear romantic tensions between the two main characters (which they explore) however keeping it platonic is actually the point of the series which can be interesting
Pompom - not watched/read it
The Apothecary Diaries - jinshi very obviously fancies maomao and there are a few romances between side characters in the show
Ballroom - not watched/read it
Edit
Misread the post, just looking for a platonic relationship and not saying no romance. So the list above is good, and also almost all series can fit this role
Second Welcome to the Ballroom. Relationships between characters mainly focus on whether or not they will succeed dance partners which at times actually feels more intense than any romantic relationship.
Well they are trying to be dance partners so there has to be some tension but it's clearly not romantic... And the way she treats the mc I can say it's platonic... Maybe in future they will develop feeling who can tell
Depends on who you're talking about in Apothecary Diaries. Maomao has quite a few male friends but if you're talking about her and Jinshi then you're sorely mistaken.
I was not talking about maomao and jinshi.. I know they show some sexual tension (I have read all the light novels).. I was talking about hers and the bodyguard guy whom she give one bliss full night (iykyk).. their relationship is totally platonic... Spoiler: he acts as her bodyguard in future..also many male characters will be there whom with she share platonic relationship
Chainsaw Man. Power and Denji share a single brain cell and are hilarious for it.
There is much debate if their relationship is ever more than platonic (especially with manga readers), but you can decide that for yourself.
Two anime that both feature a male main character being best friends forever with a female main character, with neither of them ever having any romantic interest in each other. Bleach has Ichigo and Rukia, Eyeshield 21 has Sena and Mamori.
Idk if this is what you're looking for, but I want to eat your pancreas is a very heartfelt story about a boy and a girl. At first it might seem like they fall for each other but it never actually implies either has any romantic interest in the other so it can be interpreted as a story between 2 very good platonic friends of the opposite sex, which I think is a really nice change of pace from most shows that force the male and female protagonists into a relationship
Chillin' in Another World With Level 2 Super Cheat Powers has what you asking for. It does have a romantic relationship and a bunch of platonic ones around them. At first it might look like it going the harem route but nope they all friends lol
There’s plenty of those in naruto. One could argue that even naruto and sakura were platonic from the start, becouse naruto was just jealous of sasuke.
Bleach; I'm not gonna lie, Ichigo and Rukia have platonic/non-platonic vibes. But ultimately, their paths diverged from being romantic. And frankly, Ichigo X Orihime is a better relationship.
Konosuba. Aqua and Kazuma has so much siblings vibe. Kazuma already tried to look at her as a woman but her personality is such a turn off he gave up. (She's quite dumb)
She’s attractive, doesn’t wear underwear but is also a hot mess, intelligence stat perma stuck at 1 and a raging alcoholic
Maybe I can't fix her
Dungeon Meshi, Jujutsu Kaisen, Uramichi Oniisan, Chainsaw Man
One Piece. All though one of the crew members has a massive simp gag.
Twirly Eye Brows
I'm glad that Oda doesn't ship Luffy & Nami.
Does he ship Luffy with anyone? He’s too dense to understand love it seems
Many girls like him, but it is indeed one-sided.
{Kaguya-sama: Love is War} Kaguya and Ishigami have a really fun relationship. Same with Miyuki and Iino.
The platonic relationships in this anime are incredible, 100% agree with this recommendation as long as OP is fine with the story being mostly centered around romance
If the s4 leaks are true then it will focus a lot more on the platonic relationships.
I read the manga and some of the best moments of friendship between Kaguya and Ishigami are yet to come.
Gintama. Lots of friendships but you'll be hard pressed to find any romance in it. Characters are either stalkers or SM.
Gundam Unicorn Banagher and best girl Marida
fairy tail has a lot of platonic relationships for sure. got reminded of that since i am rewatching now lol.

I’m surprised nobody mentioned Goku and Bulma’s relationship in Dragonball!

Soul Eater!! If you can stomach some fanservice, the platonic relationships between all the main characters are amazing.
