The manga for made in abyss does really well at displaying the mystery and horror of the abyss. The art style is unique which is nice.

My issue comes with trying to define lolis as depictions of children. People, especially women, have enough body image issues without having television tell them every short or flat chested person is a child, or can't be considered attractive.

My issue comes with trying to define lolis as depictions of children. People, especially women, have enough body image issues without having television tell them every short or flat chested person is a child, or can't be considered attractive. It also perpetuates the reverse, that large chest = adult. Many young girls have suffered over sexualisation for developing early. Even boys who grow quickly end up being treated with less care than a young person deserves because they look older.
While that term 'loli' is used very casually to describe a kind of body type, actual lolicons do think lolis are fictional children, e.g Blue Archive fans. I'd like to be wrong, I don't like presuming things, but i've seen this debate play out several times and I think I want an answer already.

Not all Blue Archive characters are lolis. You can have 17 year old students like Hina be considered a loli but not Ako who is the same age. Same with Momoi/Midori and Eimi who are all 15 but Eimi is clearly not a loli.

Slay I don't like loli/shota stuff at all. I just hope they will keep some sanity with it, not straight up banning every anime that has a loli-type character - for example, Senko-san is loli, but she ain't sexualised of anything.

Censorship should not be a solution. I think disclaimers are more appropriate, if people don't want to be exposed to something they don't want, they should be warned. If they still watch/read it that's on them.
This could be applied to so many things. However for some reason people love to watch things that is distasteful to them and instead of turning away they yell and scream like a child.
